Makes a lot of sense. I’ve found that reading from a script gets rid of the tendency to use weak words and helps to keep the conversation on track. I have recorded myself and noticed the positive difference in the prospect when I don’t use weasel words. Great episode!

That's true, those are definately confidence killer words.
The resason people don't take responsibility, as they don't feel like 'guaranteeing' everything, as in childhood they were told to not promise what they cannot 200% do.
    Like samurai code or something.
It's the reason why I, for example, have trouble making a 'killer offer' like 'get 20% clients in 30 days' or something, as i was taught not to lie, unless im 200% sure.
This 'samurai' code (parents programs) dictate that you MAY NOT change your word, and if you promise you GUARANTEE IT.
And no amount of 'outside of control' is justification

Sometimes they are necessary, legally... e.g. in investment sales with lack of certainty.

Yes, I’ve use weasel words by mistake and I know once I said it it was over but I went to the next sales appointment. I did not say that word and I made the sell but it’s very easy to slip. I’m not perfect.
