    Can we take a moment to appreciate the video editor who excellently weaved different clips together for the intro without people noticing. The audio was consistent but if you look closely Dr. Grace Lee was wearing different clothes. I bet he painstakingly checked all raw videos available to be able to come up with a cohesive intro. Kudos!

    Thanks for your content. As a skilled and individual contributor in my organization I realize that my degrees have not taken me where I wanted. I elected the technical career path to avoid dealing with “navigating the politics”, and reducing the number of people I have to deal with..but it’s time to change and balance.

    In the video "Public Speaking Hacks to Convey Confidence As A Leader," Dr. Grace Lee offers strategies to enhance public speaking confidence for leaders. Key points include:
    1. **Preparation**: Thoroughly understand your topic and anticipate audience questions to build confidence.
    2. **Body Language**: Maintain eye contact, use purposeful gestures, and adopt an open posture to project confidence.
    3. **Vocal Techniques**: Control your tone, pace, and volume to engage the audience and convey authority.
    4. **Mindset**: Focus on delivering value to the audience rather than on personal performance to reduce anxiety.
    5. **Practice**: Regular rehearsal and seeking constructive feedback can improve delivery and boost confidence.
    These strategies aim to help leaders communicate more effectively and confidently in public speaking scenarios.

      @SrikanthPRABHA7 Год назад +17

      Speaking like a leader doesn’t mean spitting too much Jargon. It’s about getting the message across in simple words, drive listeners to digest, think and get real about path forward and get excited with renewed energy… it doesn’t mean where you are … you could be leader leading a local sports team or a working on construction job or leading team of professionals….it all comes down to authenticity. Some of the greatest leaders didn’t practice all this Jargon. Be authentic, forthcoming, be empathetic, set the goal, have tolerance for mistakes but learn from them

    how to speak so fast yet so fluent like you😅

  • @zamar2158
    @zamar2158 Год назад +3

    Brevity is the soul of wit does not mean brevity equals intelligence. If so Shakespeare would only have written sonnets not plays, Ovid would have written a page and Newton's principia mathematica wouldn't include one full equation.
    In speaking with executives understand they have very little time for you (& the attention span of a goldfish ) So don't worry about the details. Speak in short points at 30k feet view. The devil is in the details for implementation. But not when downloading to executives. Use industry jargon, buzzwords and catchphrases.

    • @rdcsvideo
      @rdcsvideo Год назад +2

      This is true. The reason why executives practice brevity is because they often have very little time to deal with any issues, so they would communicate in a way that is brief and have all the details distilled. Unfortunately, this style often involves the use of vague catchphrases, big words, or abstract principles, which may benefit individuals with specific personality traits. As a result, it is not uncommon to encounter managers and executives who rely on grandiose language but lack substance in their communication.

    Back to business:
    Is there a way we can use the power of our imagination to build these important aspects into our inner selves. I know practice is key nonetheless, I also feel our imagination of what we want to become is important to sharpening our communication skills? Do you have ideas of how can we tap into our inner selves to become the best of ourselves?
