Thanks! Thanks for the encouragement, it’s exactly what keeps me going! I will definitely complete the campaign, but might not be able to post daily. I’ll do my beat though - really enjoying Rana as a faction and a story.
The Mist spell is really useful for blocking melee enemies. You can park your tanky guards next to a really scary stack and with Mist on them the enemy will just stand there. They can't attack or move past.
I'd suggest to pay more attention to those tiles behind your troops for defensive strategies - most battle maps have some tiles to fall back, and most enemy troops are unable to reach you in 1-2 turns. Which buys some time for essence accumulation. Kiting goes far in this game for some builds
Indeed, I feel it worked well for Arleon. Although if you have to move your ranged units, you get the 50% damage penalty, which defeats the point of kiting for 1 more turn… and if you keep ranged units upfront, you have to keep the melee there to defend them
Shoud've taken +1 movement instead of +2hp, especially usefull for slow guards. And you can cast aggression on the same unit for double/triple effect btw.
Good to know re spells - I didn’t know their effects stack!! You might be right, most of the units do seem to be melee. I was thinking that if we get two - three stacks of shamans, we can play defense a bit more. They have decent range and Guards will give extra defence. We’ll see how that works out.
No, I haven’t played before on easier difficulty and yes this is predominantly first-time / blind. There are times when I misclick or forget about something important 10-15 min into an episode and I re-record, but I you will see in later episodes I stopped doing that and just quicksave and load if I really need to. I don’t “pre-play” the mission before recording though, so you can see and hear my genuine reactions :)
I can't express how much I love seeing someone upload any playthroughs of this game. Hope we can see it through to the end :)

That is an excellent tip! Thanks!
