Happy new year Pete,tape and joint seems to be the way to go,I worked in the USA years ago and noticed they didn't seem to get those pesky hairline cracks we get in ceilings and walls and I guess that's the drywall,would it have better insulating or heat retention properties than the coldness of the usual skim coat of plaster we tend to use in Ireland and the uk over walls?keep well my friend

Yeah it’s good value too, when pricing up individual blades.. you’re right, the market has changed massively in recent years, the UK adopting taping and finishing methods from Europe and North America.. I’m inspired by how these tools (and the future of spraying plaster) can transform what we do 💙

I’ve even smoothed a damaged windowsill with Toupret Wood Filler 😆.. really easy and huge transformation.. keep in touch.. regards Pete
Got a set of these a while ago, not even comparable to the Columbia set I have, blades came wavy and bent, handles were all scratched up. Almost like they sent me a demo set or ones that had been returned by someone else. Spend the extra 200 bucks and get Columbia products.
Happy 2023, Blessings.... Last job of 2022 was Skimming HSL, three rooms, having removed existing Wall, Ceiling papers (...interesting & well learned project!) Applied those tools having skimmed with Toupre joint filling. Application of Toupre was "rolled", second time I applied that method. At somepoint hopefully I think TexSpray Mk5 will aid applying a consistent & substantial amount of the Toupre... All those Blades were Excellent. For sure the future to presenting a Level 5 Finish to Spray paint appears good! NB: the complete Project was Spray painted (airless/hvlp), applied all the "lessons" - with my mistakes, but that Graco Handheld is a MASSIVE game changer ... touch ups, small rooms, bathroom/Kitchen was amazing bit of kit👍👍👍👍👍 as long as applied & cared for prudently...
