I actually from the first episode was fascinated with Isabella, from how she acted and made decisions. I never hated her I thought of her as a good character. At the last episode I really loved everything about how her story was told and how her lullaby was so thematically stunning.

I have a small theory, So we all know Ray is her birth child correct. If you think about it she was trying to do everything in her power so he wouldn't be shipped out. Even going as far as to ship out Norman so Ray wouldn't go. I love her so much, she was only doing what she had to do to live for her and her children
I disagree because when Isabella thought Ray was really burning in the fire, she went crazy to find his brain. She doesn't care about the flesh, alive or die, she wants the brain to feed those monsters. That's too cruel for someone to ship a child out just cause they are not your birth child. Isabella will never do that bc all the orphan treats her like their own mom. Isabella only wants to use them to be eaten by monsters.

@@angiej7041 I don't mean this to be rude or anything but if you read the manga towards the end of the manga, Warning spoilers The kids themselves even say that she really was trying to be a genuine mother to the them, and she dies for them to escape a demon, she did what she had to, to survive, and we can't all say we wouldn't do the same cause we know if we were in the same position as Isabella, that we'd choose to survive as well, but she treated of the children as if she was their mom, even though know getting attached to the children would be her downfall. And at the end of the anime she just let's the children go, she doesn't stop Emma from crossing the bridge, and even goes as far as hiding the ropes so the demons don't know which direction they went. She wanted them to do what she couldn't, she knew she would get killed, but she didn't care at that point, she wanted them to be free. But she doesn't get killed off actually the Grandma does, and she's given a second chance and she still helps the children when they come back to Grace Field. So to me she's just a woman trying to survive

The end of this Anime was just so good (Season 1). It was great. It wasn't dragged on, every episodes were amazing and really kept you on the edge. I don't think I ever a better ending for a 12 Episode Anime.

I have a small theory, So we all know Ray is her birth child correct. If you think about it she was trying to do everything in her power so he wouldn't be shipped out. Even going as far as to ship out Norman so Ray wouldn't go. I love her so much, she was only doing what she had to do to live for her and her children
I disagree because when Isabella thought Ray was really burning in the fire, she went crazy to find his brain. She doesn't care about the flesh, alive or die, she wants the brain to feed those monsters. That's too cruel for someone to ship a child out just cause they are not your birth child. Isabella will never do that bc all the orphan treats her like their own mom. Isabella only wants to use them to be eaten by monsters.

The kids themselves even say that she really was trying to be a genuine mother to the them, and she dies for them to escape a demon, she did what she had to, to survive, and we can't all say we wouldn't do the same cause we know if we were in the same position as Isabella, that we'd choose to survive as well, but she treated of the children as if she was their mom, even though know getting attached to the children would be her downfall. And at the end of the anime she just let's the children go, she doesn't stop Emma from crossing the bridge, and even goes as far as hiding the ropes so the demons don't know which direction they went. She wanted them to do what she couldn't, she knew she would get killed, but she didn't care at that point, she wanted them to be free. But she doesn't get killed off actually the Grandma does, and she's given a second chance and she still helps the children when they come back to Grace Field. So to me she's just a woman trying to survive

The end of this Anime was just so good (Season 1). It was great. It wasn't dragged on, every episodes were amazing and really kept you on the edge. I don't think I ever a better ending for a 12 Episode Anime.
