Society used to be scared to death of Judas Priest, accusing them of Satan worship and of influencing suicides and violence. Now their music is being used in commercials and children are covering their songs. We've come a long way.
Yeah, but it was something more popular, Judas,Maiden... where in the number 1 songs, nowdays people who only listens pop and that shit doesn't even know they exist, so they don't care
I have seen/heard Priest songs on Honda ads, and others, not to mention applied to lots of Talk Radio intros and exits. What is overlooked is that this song came out in ~1991 when Priest was written off by many fans/critics, and it just busted open a new era. Priest should be in HOF for the Painkiller album alone.
Dade, ignore the crap put out by "the biz" & seek out music that's not pumped, auto-tuned & promoted to feel better for the future of music. I've heard my neighborhood teeny-boppers blowing the shit out of some great tunes in their garage. When I heard them playing Zappa, Pink Floyd, Pantera, Slayer & assorted other stuff, I had to go crawl over to check them out & applaud. I turned them onto a bunch of other bands & have listened to them go from playing veritable crap with a singer that sucked balls, to being unbelievably awesome in less than a year's time. Go take a look-see about town in your local bars, coffee shops & whatnot & hear the magic for yourself. There are many musicians, young & old, still giving me hope that the future of music isn't going to rely on dumb chicky-lalas wearing nothing but nipple rings & a bandaid over her snatch, autotuned to sound like nails on a chalkboard & made to to fellate some geezer on stage at the VMAs to be "the next big thing." Encourage youngins to take up an instrument & even if they suck, keep encouraging them. Go check out the "bands nobody ever heard of" in little places & have hope restored.
The drummer is fucking nuts, pulling off past 180 BPM while 13 years old is quite fucking badass, without a doubt the most talented of the bunch. Kudos to you Mr Tyler Rogers.
No one should ever make fun of the kid singing. He's 11. It's an extremely hard song to sing. He nailed it better than most ever could. Props to this kid.
+valiantfreak Also to piggy back off of what you said. He's covering a judas priest song. If that doesn't explain the full difficulty of what he just did, I don't think anyone can explain it.

Good lord, these kids are awesome! Guitarist killed the solo, that drummer kicks ass, and the singer has a very King Diamond-ish approach, very interesting! Awesome cover!
@WhoDarestheMAN gamer IDK, I think it needs some practising to be precise, not easy at all. Even I can hear the boy is struggling here and there and I am no drummer. Great effort.
As a Priest fan since I was the same age as these kids, hearing them play this puts a big smile on my face. The future of metal is in good hands I see.
This is a wicked hard song to attempt! These are bold & courageous kids to even attempt it. I was watching and I'm like "Hmm I wonder if the guitarist is really going to try and do the high pitched sweep picking part coming up..." And sure as hell he did! Quite well I might add. There's so many unique squeals and dive bombs and harmonics etc in this song, and he really did an admirable job capturing as many as possible!! These kids really have something to be proud of. And a band like this doesn't just fall together. There must be a brilliant teacher behind this who REALLY knows just how to bring the absolute best out of these kids!!!! They are absolutely FLOURISHING, well done, sir!!
Syclone0044 Well said. And really, that's all that needs to be said about this and all the O'Keefe projects. The kids are extraordinary, the teacher must be so inspiring, and all the parties that come together to make these recordings happen should be very proud of themselves. If only the internet potatoes and basement trolls had the same opportunities when they were in their teens they might not now spend their friendless hours posting ignorant tripe online whilst cramming fast food into their fat, useless bodies.
Syclone0044 It is a hard song to sing, and sure as hell I wouldn't even remember the lines, let alone sing them well at all. But that being said, the singer is not really suited well to the power of the song voice wise. He does sing it alright, but lacks any power to make it really come to live as the rest of the band do. He is better of trying a bit more laid back songs I think. But besides that, they need to try it to see if it for them, so I hope he does find his tune :)
Dude, please never stop being a teacher! You are the kind of teacher that people NEVER EVER forget and I wish I had you as a teacher when I was at school. Even if these kids don't like metal, they will end up understanding and appriciating music as a whole. Thanks for showing the world this awesomness
Very very very few people on this earth can pull off the vocals to this and sound 'right', but the kid did great. That kid playing guitar is disgustingly phenominal.
You are a legit hero... You just don't see music teachers putting rock and metal into the hands of their students anymore. Keep encouraging the art... These kids have amazing talent...
Once the drummer learns to get a real double bass and more toms he we be very good , remember the orignal drummer had a bigger kit and with a small kit you have limitations
Holy shit! They did an amazing job. For all of you that are giving the singer stick, come on, really...? Considering he's 11 years old, I think he gave a damn fine performance!
+vLarsn You got that right, I was singing along with him and realized he is better than me lol. I also have seen Judas Priest in concert and for an 11 year singer he nailed it!
One of the more difficult songs by one of the most professional metal bands of all time...cant fault these guys for ambition...the timing challenge alone is intense...great job, you guys ( Rob Halford is basically uncopyable so props bigtime)
The best part is the haunting vocals of Ms. Emily Leavengood during the credit vocals. I would love to hear more from her, she's one of O'Keefe's standout talents in a group of extremely talented musicians.
Singer shows his potential. Once he gets his man voice, I bet he could pull it off with the upmost excellence. Being that he was 11 at the time, got to give major props for maximum effort and talent. Give it another go later on and he'll nail it. He already has major balls for having the confidence to do this and put it on the internet. Wins for all of the band.
Blessed by the hand of God, these musical prodigies are beyond measurable excellence! This goes for all musicians that have and continue to hone their craft at OMF!
thumbs up for every kid/ parent involved in OMF project! There is still hope for our planet! This song is really hard to sing, Halford is a monster vocalist! I think it would be an easier task for some of the girls I 've heard so far... Nevertheless really happy to see young people behind the microphones instead of phones and computers!
I am thankful that their parents have recognized the talent that their kids have and given them the opportunity to succeed. Thanks to Judas Priest, parents and awesome kids. Very well done!!!
I think the kid did very well for his age. I only know of one vocalist that could come close to Rob on this song. Yannis Papadopoulos, singer for Beast in Black.
Man, I've been vegging on Aaron Okeefe vids - Absolutely amazing! Congrats to all the kids- Gives old guys like me faith in the future of our youths of today that can appreciate the music of my youth. True prodigies!
Just WOW! If that singer can do that after he hits puberty, you've found the best JP tribute band ever. That just blew me away and I have been listening to Priest since 1980. Of all the songs they could have covered, they went for one of the hardest. The drummer and lead guitarist could fill in for G. Tipton and S. Travis on stage and I doubt anyone would notice the difference. Makes my heart smile to know that some in this generation appreciate the metal gods of my youth. Keep rockin!

mitchellsmith221 But he didn't even try to reach the power that a Priest song needs. He sings bored and without passion.
Rolling Rock you know the kid is 11 and probably still learning..he has untap talent that one day will be shown till then let him be a kid n have fun..
Yes he's 11 so I blame it on the teacher cause while I would never expect it to be spot on I'd think it would have been a lot better than this!
Dude the vocals are actually really sick. I like the softness in his voice. He made the song his own while also paying homage to Judas
Good lord, these kids are awesome! Guitarist killed the solo, that drummer kicks ass, and the singer has a very King Diamond-ish approach, very interesting! Awesome cover!

One of the badass metal songs of all times and they did it proud.
Lead guitar was excellent.
