I like this song. But, I don't think it's their best. Hopefully you've taken the time to listen to more JP. Rob has great range in my uneducated opinion........I just went to your channel. I see that you have listened to more. I'll have to check out the videos, to see if you agree! Lol
If you would have listened to Electric Eye or Devil's Child you would have broken a million views. This speed metal junk with the flashing lights and quadruple kick drums was just a reaction to Iron Maiden etc., trying to go faster and scream louder than everybody else. I felt like this album was was a little desperate, and Rob quit after it. That said, I could watch your reaction to a starter replacement on a Kia Sorento and it would be delightful.
Please, do a video of Tornado of souls of Megadeth
I love this your reaction ❤️👍🏻🤘🏻
"I'm gay" - Rob Halford "we know, keep singing" - the rest of us
Yeah we had it figured out back on British Steel I mean did you see your band photo on the back? lol
People had figured that out a long time ago. Just like with Freddie Mercury. Everybody knew and only idiots cared.
Poor Rob Halford- imagine being him back in the day, and night after night on the road you're just trying to figure out how to dodge all the groupies who want to polish your knob. I'd bet that Glenn, Ian, and K.K. were more than happy to help divert their unwanted attention. lol
Metalheads don't fucking care brother ;-)
Haha...Rob even said he couldn’t figure out why people had to be told he was gay. The leather and spikes should have given it away.
"his voice is like a power drill."
That's fair.
That's a compliment
His voice is a power drill. The guitars are a table saw and the drums are a power hammer that blacksmiths use.

Starting your Judas Priest journey with Painkiller is like being fired out of a cannon into a tornado. I don't think anything can prepare you for the experience. 🤣
That is an amazing analogy.
It's like people doing first reactions to Slayer with 'Raining Blood'.😂
Yup! Any song on this album would have created the same response.
Yep totally agree😅
That's what happened to me back in 2019
So my brother is a elementary/Jr. High music teacher and is currently getting them ready for their Christmas concerts. Some of the boys were given parts to sing in falsetto and they didn't want to do it because "falsetto isn't cool and is for girls". He told them that falsetto is very cool and very manly and some of the best metal singers are masters of falsetto. They didn't believe him so he showed them painkiller. They ended up "practicing the hell out of their parts" afterwards lol.
This wins the comment section! 🔥🤘🏻😄
Master teacher!
That's awesome
That is so cool! Made me laugh a lot.
Should have shown them a photo of King Diamond! Doesn’t get much more ‘manly’ than that and one of the best falsetto singers ever! Hail the King!
After the first verse “I wasn’t expecting him to sing so high”. Me leaning back on the couch ‘you’re in for a hell of a ride’
Indeed 🤣
My thoughts exactly.
🤣
Hahhahaa indeed!
😂 She called it "forward facing music" like 20 times here.
Many classic metal artists put a lot of metaphor, personal experience and hidden meaning in their lyrics.
Judas Priest wrote a song about a space robot that shoots lasers on a dinosaur motorbike.
I thought it was a dragon motorbike?
LOL I just spit out my coffee
Giggled my tits off at this lmao😂😂
Space robots shooting lasers on dinosaur motorbikes is pretty personal to me.
The Painkiller is robot space Jesus!
Many people don't realize that Rob is a classically operatic trained vocalist. These guys still rock!
Is he? I just read an excerpt from his autobiography where he states he never took a lesson.
Thank you 🙏🏾 I thought I was the only that knew that for a minute 😊
@@iluvj50 he probably took stuff by observing and real good hearing.
He worked on a theater but as assistant for some stuff.
So from what I understand he never sang with "proper" technique, but he has such a monstrous voice that for his whole career he was just pushing his vocal cords and still kept his voice somehow... Live show recordings show how his chords become more and more exhausted with each song, and he doesn't even warm his chords up...
@@edorissen Well for a time he was alcoholic and on cocaine.
Plus they toured like crazy, in early mid 80's
In his prime he had 6 octave range, even now at age 70 he's still performing and has 4 octaves.
6 octaves... no. His recorded range is 4 octaves (C2-C6)

I literally LOL'd for real when she said that Painkiller was going to be her first experience with Judas Priest. Talk about throwing yourself in the deep end. Love it.
Painkiller is probably first exposure to Judas Priest for most people nowadays, if they haven't heard 2 big-uns on some random 70s rock channel of course
@@SLENDAMANN this seems crazy to me that Painkiller would be their first exposure. They had a decade's worth of commercially successful music before this album that still get a ton of radio play. This song and this album did not.
@@BazookaIke But people don't find music through radio airplay in 2022, we find it through playlists and recommends. Painkiller is the most viewed Judas Priest music video, their most critically acclaimed song and their second-most streamed song on Spotify. If you're just a casual metal listener wanting to hear Judas Priest, you're most likely to stumble on Painkiller instead of Breaking The Law or You've Got Another Thing Comin'
@@SLENDAMANN wow, that's crazy to me. I personally would not even rate Painkiller in their top 50 songs. Probably much lower than 50 to be honest. I don't understand why its that popular. I really didn't care much for that song or album when it came out. It wasn't the Judas Priest i grew up on.
@@BazookaIke Maybe that's why you don't like it. To me it's far and away their best song. I don't particularly care much for Judas Priest but I love Painkiller. I think this is something you'll hear often from people who are more into extreme metal
Fun fact: Rob Halford apparently vocalizes a lot of guitar lines during the writing process, so some of Priest's riffs are literally Halford vocal lines translated to the guitar.
That is bad ass!! \m/
No surprise, Halford is a genius. Captain Beefheart did the same
Dave Mustaine sang almost every single note of Marty Friedman's guitar solos, and wrote the majority of Nick's [Menza] drum parts, and Also wrote almost every bass note that [David] Ellefson played.
@@pedroxmartinez3690 I would say this is kind of mostly true
Do you have a source for this?
Rob Halford has one of the MOST Distinctive metal vocals out there, you hear his voice and you instantly know it's him.
I LOVE how in the ending her expressions clearly went from attention to interest, and then in sequence: admiration, fun, surprise, confusion and disbelief. And the switch in expression are so crystal clear you can timestamp them.
I think what it identifies for some if not most viewers...complete open-mindedness and the ability to appreciate.
And she is smoking hot just saying
So, are you saying if you were watching a person just sit there and listen to the music without expression or reaction you wouldn't enjoy that and probably wouldn't watch again? Asking for a friend who is thinking of starting a youtube channel.

This was the only song that ever actually caused me pain in my ears at a live show. He hit one of the screams and I thought my left ear was bleeding. That was on Halloween in 1990, and that ear was never quite the same again.
It was worth it, though-fantastic show.

Don't like Rob's voice? No problem. Just listen to a different priest song. You can hear 5 different songs and wonder that it's the same person. He has tremendous vocal abilities. He's known as the metal god.
This is so true. Painkiller is not an accurate representation of Rob as a singer. I recommend:
Dreamer/Deceiver
Dissident Aggressor
Beyond The Realms Of Death
Desert Plains
Diamonds And Rust (from Unleashed In The East, not the acoustic version)
The Sentinel
Out In The Cold
@@dvg4104 I love both versions of diamonds and rust, as well as ripper's. I think all 3 are worth listening too.
Hopefully there will be more priest reviews here though, regardless of the song/version.
I am actively watching the comments, and have Kirk/Paolo polling the next couple Judas Priest songs I analyze. I think his range has a lot to offer, so I'm not giving up!
What about blood red skies? That showcases Rob Halfords range pretty well.
@@TheCharismaticVoice there are a lot of great suggestions all throughout the comments. I think once you hear more of what he usually sounds like you'll want to hear more. I will say that I like painkiller, but I can see why you were so-so on it. Can't wait to see your next one.
Also, you should check out some of Tim (Ripper) Owens judas priest vocals. He replaced Rob while he was out and was really good too! The movie rockstar is based extremely loosely on Owens/priest. He sang for a priest tribute band and they recruited him from. The rest of the story is bogus, but it was inspired by this incident. Perhaps you can compare a few songs sang by both?

My dad told me when PAINKILLER album came up back in 1990 it caught everybody off guard; even Judas Priest fans didn't expect to be hit like this...
With this song and this album, the band took the heavy metal to the category of the fine arts.
Yup lol compare Painkiller to Breaking the law....it could be two utterly different bands
Definitely. When this came out one would expect a way seated back attitude from a band that had already been around for 20+ years. But they set metal to a new beginning. This was a game changer.
Breaking the law is Metal anthem
Yeah, it was pretty out of nowhere. They had cooled down their sound prior to this (Livin' After Midight, etc.), this blew people away (side note:fuck, I'm old)
Scorpions, with the exception of pop music, had the same footprint as Judas. Ac/DC too. However, in this song, Judas took the metal lead two laps ahead of their compadres, astonishing even the thrashers, already big at the time, who lived in fear of the grunge counter-coup from the record companies (which had its value...). But, on top of that, surfing alone on the blue wave of metal and rock, creative pearls like The Cult, Ministry, Dark Angel, Megadeth and the great Nuclear Assault... the leftovers of that were pop art and bad boys band, sponsored and a lot , but, a lot of redoing.
I got this album for Christmas when it was released. All my parent's really knew about my music was I liked metal. I put the CD in and it BLEW ME AWAY. This was so different than earlier Priest. Like a rebirth.
Painkiller is easily in my top 5 favourite metal songs of all time. What an absolute onslaught of power! Rob's massive vocals, the fantastic guitars and bass, and the drums, oh god the drums!
"I almost expected something more mellow" this was Judas Priest's response to the thrash metal bands of the day slowing down. They quite literally said "hold my beer" and fucked shit up.
which was their first truly aggressive album of the decade out of doing a bit more commercial friendly albums since British Steel. Thing is most of the Thrash bands weren't slowing down until the early 90s, or after this album. Now the aggression of Jugulator for sure stood out in 97 precisely because Thrash was dead, and Alt Rock and NuMetal were on the rise. This was literally them simply regaining their edge after bands like Maiden, Slayer, etc stole some of their thunder. Painkiller, Sad Wings and Sin after Sin are IMO, their best albums.
And they do have pretty mellow stuff, like Last Rose of Summer - but this was a statement they wanted to make
They toured with Megadeth on this album. Rust in Peace/Painkiller in '91. I got to hear Holy Wars and Painkiller, live, in the same night.
@@jima6545 In LA they played with Slayer. I would have preferred Megadeth
That is factually incorrect. Stop trying to rewrite history. Yes it’s a Classic Album but this came out in 1990.
1976’s “Victim of Changes” is one song that portrays Rob Halford’s most pure, clean, operatic voice. His high notes were so smooth and distortion-free. It’s interesting to compare that vocal style to how his voice has changed album after album.
OMG, I just suggested that one in my comment, then scrolled through and saw you already had. Frankly, I think that would have been a better introduction to Rob Halford.

My God your reactions are priceless! Rob doesn’t always sing in that range for the whole song like this one - I think the entire point of this song was to be as ridiculous and over the top as possible. But he has a powerful lower range as well (which hardly came into play here.) Great metal singer - he’s a legend for a reason.

@@metalmaniac7772 oh I know. They could have picked almost any other opening band and I would have been happy. But Halford's voice is *powerful.*
Fun fact: He is in his 70s and will still occasionally do this song.
Saw them in Vegas several years ago... His high notes were popping the limiters on the overhead speakers at the hard Rock, lol.
"Occasionally" *closes nearly every gig (or at least every large gig) with Painkiller*
Rob Halford is not in his 70s yet.
Not quite. He's 69. But yeah, very soon. And Priest will have a new album probably next year too.
@@dustypeterson5145 You know, generally I think that bands this old should just retire ........ but Judas Priest ? Their last few albums were very good and they are still kicking it on stage and they clearly have a lot of fun doing it. I don't fucking know how or why, but they manage to do it. I hope to see them live at least once while I still can
I love your analysis of this song. This is one of my favorite Judas Priest songs, and I HAVE TO crank the volume up when I hear this. This song has so much energy!
They are incredible together. I say this, there are a lot of "metal" bands out there. You could say to 99% of them, "You'll never be as good as Judas Priest".
The whole album is a masterpiece. A milestone for the next centuries.
Defender of the faith still better than both
@Sebastian X LMAO not by a hundred miles. Just Rob Halford obliterates Dave in vocals.
@@AlessandroDiFederico Debatable
@@channel5980 the musicianship on Rust in Peace is miles ahead of anything Priest can do. Megadeth has always had a better rhythm section
@@punman5392 LMAO *anything* JP can do? Have you even listened to Stained Class? Nostradamus?
And still, just Painkiller is still better than Rust In Peace. Pure Heavy Metal has honestly always required more talent than other subgenres like Thrash.
'Beyond the realms of death' really shows Robs range and style change over the years.
Agreed! Amazing performance and such feeling!
Victim of changes got all his styles.
Absolutely \m/
@The Charismatic Voice Better a double reaction to the original studio with a young Rob and one live with an agedd Rob ruclips.net/video/t710WSa01N8/видео.html. His range might be gone but he masters his craft after decades performing!
Love you girl! Keep up the fabulous reactions 🥰
They just released a new song "trial by fire", 74yrs old and still sounds amazing. Hes got a pretty wide range from what ive heard from them, this ones definitely an intense first listen
As a metal fan, I am pleased to see how you appreciate the skill even though you don't necessarily like the sound. I wish more people could listen to music like that and not just calling it "noise". Metal musicians are often highly skilled, but average mainstream listeners don't have the ability to recognise it.
Just because something is very technical doesn't make it inherently good and being that pretentious about your taste in music will only drive potential fans away
@delt "mainstream listeners" he's gatekeeping
But honestly there some parts of metal that are just screaming around and load and I say this as a big metal fan but large parts of especially death and black metal is just wierd and load. Like many of them have talent but it's hard to listen to.
I’m reading a lot of words in these comments and their replies that strongly suggests that you’re just trying to explain away what you just don’t get. Like a critic who prefers Dogs Playing Poker and with a straight face tells you that Picasso or Van Gogh may have skills but that doesn’t mean it’s inherently good. Mostly it’s just weird load from his perspective. Reminds me of the scene in Amadeus where the Emperor tells Mozart that there are too many notes for the Royal ear.
Nailed it👍
"How fast do you want the drum beat in this song?"
"Yes"
This tune was initially demoed on a drum machine, requirements of the drummer vacancy being to be able to play it modern double bass style. ScottTravis bought a load to the band.
I liked her evaluation of his vocals, but only to an extent. This is a Thrash Metal song & really has no beat, nor theme to it until nearly the end. Thru the first couple of verses, Halford sounds like a kid screaming "I Want My Coco Puffs". I think it was a but too much for any fan used to digest. Freewheel Burning was as heavy, but had both a better rhythm & better quality lead vocals, for a heavier theme on their songs.
@@marcstevens8576 Oh c'mon. This is a masterpiece.
@@fivestring65ify Alright. I will give you that it now A Classic. Back in the day I expected an album on the idea of Ram It Down, without the electronic drums. It sounded to me as close to Metallica. I still listen to it, but was surprised they changed styles...
@@marcstevens8576 thats bullshit this song is sick
Glenn Tipton is heavily steeped in classical and that really shines in this masterpiece. And Scott Travis...what a debut for him!
The drum intro never gets old. Scott Travis rules.
They are an early 70s/80s band, but this song was made in the early 90s to revitalize the band and keep their popularity going. It did a very good job and helped in defining future metal music.
The song is about a metal angel, the Painkiller, coming to Earth on a motorcycle to destroy evil.
Well, its also about a Dude, but yeah,, My first exposure to Priest was the Video Premier for Painkiller and I got hooked, but it took me a long time to get into their older stuff, then I heard Unleashed in the East. FINALLY! a recording of the older stuff without an engineer taming the hell out of them and at a point when Metal guitar distortion was really taking off. not fuzz, but real distortion and Overdrives! Anyway, She does a Video of Victim of CHanges Live at Us 83, but the UITE performance is ridiculous! Unleashed in the East and Live After Death are the two best live albums ever!
Starbreaker generally shows up on a motorcycle. I keep standing on the sidewalk waiting for him to show up.
Yes. Painkiller was the roaring reclamation of Priest as the Metal Gods they are after their late 80s offerings (Turbo/Ram It Down), which experimented with synth guitars and the more glam rock influence of the time. They also introduced new drummer Scott Travis amazingly with the drum solo intro.
I knew it as soon as I heard the drum solo introduction, that Judas Priest were back and ready to compete with Metallica. TRAVIS IS AN OUTSTANDING DRUMMER!!
It did a great Job, refreshing Album
I REALLY appreciate the fact that you were honest enough to say that you didn't like his voice but still appreciated the talent behind it. So many reaction/analysis youtubers end up "loving" literally everything their subscribers suggest and I feel like it's just an act garner likes. But your honesty in your critiques is such a breath of fresh air. ☺ -Sincerely, an opera singing metal head. 😋
Agreed. TCV is the first of this type of video that I’ve seen, but I did try some other voice coaches etc and just found that their videos weren’t nearly as informative or entertaining. I feel like she is really sincere and honest in her analogies.
Thank you! I will always be honest on this channel and get a lot of comments from people that don't believe. It is what it is. I have, however, decided not to release certain videos because after hearing the song/artist I don't think it aligns with my vision of the channel, or I just have nothing positive to say. Those go to the patrons.
Thank you for the kind words. Truly, it means a lot to me. :-)
@@TheCharismaticVoice so we will never know which bands disappointed you :)
I love Priest, I don't think this is a great representation of Halford. Victim of Changes and Exciter definitely have better vocal performances.
Victim of Changes or Screaming for Vengeance better demonstrate his vocal ability.
The Painkiller album is what would be considered a concept album, with every song related to each other and telling a story in full. I always thought it would have been awesome if somehow they could have worked out a cheesy 1980s type horror movie based on the album. Never happened though.
Exterminate. The Daleks sounded like Rob.
What a choice for her first Priest track. The look on her face: Totally Stunned.
After this one, react to Judas Priest - Victim of Changes.
Oh boy. Yeah, please.
I never really liked Painkiller, as the drums were out of control. Their earlier drummers pretty much kept a beat while Ken & Glen did their solos. Victim was a far more both a constructive & creative song..
Victim of changes is a must. Painkiller is good but victim of changes era is my favorite.
Please do Victim of Changes
This is the one, much more to offer than painkiller
So, as a 40 year Priest fan I can say that while this is a quintessential Priest song, it is NOT representative of either, their music or of Rob's vocals overall. This song is and was designed to be a metal assault.
Rob has a huge range and is one of the icons of metal. He's known as the Metal God. Painkiller is a very different album than the rest, style wise. It was released in the early 90's and has a distinctive sound. Do not let this song deter you from exploring other Priest music, as I think that you will find his singing voice far different and more interesting than this song portrays.
I would recommend three songs: "Desert Plains" , "Fever" and "Dreamer Deceiver (BBC Performance)"
They finally broke through with this album. Hands down their best
@@rebelwithacausecauseeffect6076 Who are you to decide what a "true" Priest fan is and isn't. I've listened to them since before i was even born (thanks to my father.) But somehow enjoying peoples different perspective on music makes one a lesser fan. That's bullshit. Your closed minded attitude disqualifies you from "true" fan status if anything does.
I saw Vengeance , Defenders of the faith and turbo tours and my ears are still ringing . Lol some of the best shows I have ever seen and I have seen some big ones.
I actually agree with this. Songs like 'Beyond The Realms of Death' (another I'd love to hear TCV react to!) encapsulates more of his actual range and ability, in my opinion. 'Painkiller' is a great track but there is far more to them, and to Rob, than this.
@@Tobias5036 He's just kidding around. Basically making fun of himself too, as he being a fan is here, and posting....
"My head is buzzing..." That's the point, Elizabeth. It's like riding the lightning or riding the rocket to great heights. 👍👍👍
"That was not a joke, that intro"
Drummers: [sweating] .....
That was quite the statement. First song on his first album with the band. And at least on Jugulator and Demolition there is always one song where they give him the spotlight, which is quite unusual.
Scott is so underrated.
@Charlie Agné True! One of the best
"Dreamer Deceiver" is one of the most complete and impresive Rob's recordings, you should definitely have to check it out
Hands down. I completely second this. One of my favorite Priest tracks. It so beautifully showcases the insane talent Rob has on tap, along with the incredible songwriting and musicianship.
I'm mad that I'll never be able to write a song like it.
Yeeeeee
The Ripper live
Yeah, Painkiller is not a good example of his vocals. It's different from almost every Priest song from the 70s and 80s.
Oh fu@k yes Dreamer Deceiver !
That's one of my favorite metal songs ever, the guitar riff at the beggining is absolutely headbanging, the drums are well balanced and intense but they don't overflow all the song and the voice is just legendary and iconic
We have been listening to the incredible Judas Priest for the last 50 years what a song to die into baptism of fire
I am starting to imagine Liz reacting to King Diamond, I would love to hear her toughts and see her facials expressions !!!!!
I'd like to see that too,I really hope she will react to King soon !!
Slepless night
She definitely needs to!!! Since she’s an opera singer I’m positive she would love it. I think her facial expressions would be priceless .
Yes, she needs to hear King Diamond.... it'll change her life & King Diamond is the greatest 🤘
Wait till she hears Queensryche Take Hold of the Flame live in Tokyo
I have been listening to Priest for over 40 years. Every single time, I appreciate Rob Halford more and more.
He really is a metal god. He must be.
Finally a real honest "god " not like the hundreds of phoney gods of the sky, huh makes you wonder why the sky, before telescopes maybe then to write a book about it *** crazy 🤪
What's better than a god from books fiction or intangible faith? A living metal God you can experience in person.
Exellent analysis,thanks,love your comments..❤️🔥👍🤘
What a beautiful woman... Her eyes and smile are amazing...
Judas Priest's Painkiller is the heavy metal standard! Incredible solos, outstanding vocals by the metal god, this song is the essence of the music we love!
I always found it to be on the mid to bottom end of priest songs. Give me screaming for vengeance any day...
*gold standard
@@TheCdnBacon I agree. As far as priest songs go I would say Free wheel burning, Exciter, or the sentinel, do circles around Painkiller as gold gold standards in metal. Painkiller, as good as it is, is fairly simple as far as priest songs go, the production hides that by being so good.
Disagree
Touch of Evil is my favorite from Judas Priest, reminds me of vampires. Looking forward to your reaction + analysis to this one 💛
Mine too. Totally different vibe than Painkiller
Have you seen The Lost Boys? Someone made a compilation video of the scenes from the movie with A Touch of Evil in the background. Can't provide link but it's on youtube 😉

Hi Juliette, Live Chat ended but have a Great Day/Weekend!!! 😎
Oh I absolutely adore that track
I don't think I have heard a more metal song than Painkiller. Your reaction and analysis were an absolute pleasure to watch.
I love her reactions. So fun & satisfying to watch. Very interesting analysis.
I almost feel like everybody recommending this as an introduction to Priest is just trolling. But it worked, because this reaction was just gold.
Nah, whoever reacted the acoustic version of Diamonds and Rust to Rebecca was trolling.
@@MetalPersonJ 😂
I do agree angel will show more of his capability's
When she said she wasn't familiar with Priest I had that same thought... which was preceded by "oh no..."
She got it right, Halford's voice on Painkiller resembles a guitar and is used for harmonization
Beyond The Realms Of Death. Rob Halford isn´t just aggressive and in your face singing, he is whatever you want. From lows to highs and vice versa, everything sounds just fine. But of course, that piercing tone in his voice which Painkiller so good showcased, is something only he has, it´s unique and instantly HIM. Even if you didn´t like it, you appreciated it !
The Blind Guardisn cover of BTROD is one of the only covers ever that I love
I absolutely adore your critiques !!! You listen to a wide variety of music, have incredible expertise, and totally appreciate these singers you review and you do that so very objectively even when not your own cup of tea.
Your expressions are beautifully priceless, as I see your love for vocals as I have this very same passion and I use to sing in bands, too.
You're absolutely the best critique artist I've ever heard, as you blend your knowledge with what your listening to while offering the viewer some educational expertise through the pure and utter enjoyment of what our ears share together.
Now, to listen to Schoenberg Sprechstimme
Nightcrawler from the same album was my introductory song to Judas Priest and I got mesmerized by Rob's voice and then with his story. I'm wearing my old Painkiller sweater from my teens right now which reminded me to watch this video XD
this song is a jewel. A complete masterpiece
Hell patrol wants a word
this was also my first song I heard ever from Judas in 1993... It was like I'm not believing my ears - so cool it was done. It's so long and great song with lot of memorable melodies and unbeatable guitar solos. well the next song was Hell Patrol and so on...
Total obra prima!!!
The all album is a masterpiece, flawless, only killers no fillers

Painkiller is just popular. I've been listening to Rob Halford of Judas Priest for 30+ years, and If you want to hear genuine vocals that will move you...it is Dreamer Deceiver, hands down.
No doubt about it
Yep. If you want a second shot in the magnitude of Halford's voice, Dreamer Deceiver is his zenith.
my dear Judas Priest band is sacred monster of speed metal. Rob voice is exactly for this kind of metal. I am 51 years old man and heavy metal never die!
He actually has a huge range and can do it live. Halford really is quite incredible.
Especially at his age!! I've heard other musicians really lose their top end as they age, but this is a recent recording and Rob's almost 70!!!
He is a legend
lol no he can't. I loove rob and his voice and live he is generally awesome. but i have yet to see a live performance of painkiller where he sounds like anything other then a dying frog demon. otherwise he's great!
A touch of Evil has got to be his highest pitch ever!
You're Possessing me!! That part!!! I replay it every single time!!
