Aw, thank you! And it's my pleasure! Yes, I was looking for this kind of video myself, and I was so surprised that nobody had made anything dedicated to the ink yet, so I figured that I should rise to the occasion and do it "for the people" lol!

I am so drawn to these light browns and taupes but am so sad when they are not very legible when you get them in a fountain pen. I still want them all though! 😂 Thanks for sharing.

I know exactly what you mean! And of course, I also still want them 😂 . Since filming this video, I've inked Bubble Tea in my Pilot Custom Heritage 912 with a Falcon nib (flex nib) and it is SOOO much more legible! So, there's hope! You just need the juiciest nib/feed combo that you can get lol. The 'Online Fountain Pen' that I did a review of on my channel, is a lot cheaper than the Pilot, and it puts down a very saturated, wet line, so I think these inks would be good in that too?

this is such a good comparison! i have most of these, i really love this kind of colour ^^ ah! the writing sample nearer the end! it looks so wonderful! and its worth noting that cursive writing brings out the lightest colours, writing in print would also make these inks look darker
people never talk about inks getting darker in their pens! people only ever talk about it in terms of the ink evaporating but i *know* mine dont do that, some inks just need to "settle" a little it seems.
on the asian ink makers and light inks: chinese japanese and korean all have individual characters that are made using a lot more strokes than english letters, lots of short strokes overlapping puts down a lot more ink onto the page, so the ink really often looks like the darker colours of any ink, and then also, dip pens are a *lot* more popular over there, there are a lot of people in the hobby that only use dip pens to write with (it is,, very late for me, sorry if i'm not phrasing things in the most understandable way ^^; )

Aw, thank you so much! Yes this colour has a soft spot with me too lol. Yes, I'm in total agreement, cursive brings out the lighter notes in the colours because the ink travels between the connected letters and tends to shade more at the end of the word, but I'm just so out of the habit of writing in non-cursive hand writing unless it's a small note for work or something lol.
And yes, thank you! I'm pretty sure my ink is not evaporating as well, as I'm in a little bit more of a humid climate. I think as you said some inks just need to "settle" and it can also vary depending on which pen you use the ink with as well!
Ahhh, I knew about the dip pen use, but I never thought about the characters being individual strokes and overlapping! It just never occurred to me, thank you so much for the insight! I really appreciate it ☺️🙏🏻 It was really a big "Ah ha" moment for me lol. And the phrasing was perfect! Very clear 😊

I know it can be a bit light, but the ink did get a little darker after sitting in the pen for a day. I've since inked it up in a pen with a flex nib and it's A LOT more legible!
