Just back from a ride around town on my own little Ninja 300. They're fun. Not a litre bike but once you get over that then you can start to enjoy it for what it is rather than what it isn't. I fitted gear indicator as quite close gears. Has no problem up to 100 mph. Can do motorways even though it's strength lies in the lower speed stuff. Around town at night you can be naughty, especially with stock exhaust.
I have a 15 Ninja 300 in this same color scheme. I love it. It’s my first motorcycle and I’ve had it for about a year now. Even after acing the MSF course, I’m glad I went with the 300. It allowed me to get comfortable with being on two wheels in the middle of traffic. Also, why would I want to get a 750-1000cc bike that I can’t even enjoy because of the constant congested traffic where I live? I’m 6’3” 215lbs and I’ve gotten mine up to 100mph with a little tuck. Other than the wind wanting to toss you around, I don’t see any reason why you wouldn’t want one if these bikes.
KingN8Boogie i loved my 13 300. Excellent bike. Wish i never traded it for my Cbr600rr. I like my 600 but the 300 was perfect. 50-78mpg!! 50 if you're riding hard! Plenty of pep really and it's soo nimble!
DaSwolfy I’m fairly short but I’ve had a few friends with 300’s and they were like 6’3 and they said while its not always the most comfortable on long trips, if u take short stops every once in a while, its actually pretty comfortable
DaSwolfy I’m 6’3” 218lbs. I’ve ridden mine around town for the most part. I will say that if you plan on taking long trips, change the seat or your butt will pay the price
I weigh 220 lbs and can take the 300 up to 100mph easily. The fastest I’ve taken it was 111, but that was full throttle, tucked in, down hill and with the wind blowing with me 🤓
I got my first bike in 06', started with a GSXR 600r. Layed it down twice over the first 3 months I owend it. Kept it for a year learning to not ride it like I stole it and then bought a CBR1000rr the next summer. Luckily by then I had a year of riding experience and the hindsight of wrecking (and not getting hurt too badly) to keep it shiny side up at all times! All that said, had I started with this 300, I probably wouldnt have laid it down at all!
Found this video because I’m interested in getting a ninja and when you started driving I realized I live really close to where you were and drove the same road today! Great video!
The Ninja 300cc does not lockup in the rear due to its slip clutch. It is very forgiving and does allow beginners to get comfortable as it's also hard to stall
I love my 2016 red ninja 300! When I ride this bike, I feel like I’m riding a moto-gp bike! Hitting 9-10,000 rpm between shifts & hearing the motor scream & feeling like I’m actually using the power of this bike as I ride. The slipper clutch is BUTTER SMOOTH. I find myself constantly breaking the law on this bike!
THANK YOU for bringing up rev matching. When I first got my bike, I was afraid to downshift because I didnt know how to rev match. Its hugely important to get that skill as a beginner
I'm glad this moto exists, it is my dream since i was 13yo, i'm glad the dream is still up and it's one of the things that help me fight depression, hopefully next year.
Planning on 'upgrading' from my 300 soon. Worried I'll miss it. Then again, I'm planning to get the ninja 400 next. So I'm not straying very far. Lightweight is love, lightweight is life.
I got a ninja 300 last week. It was a toss up between that and for about $1500 more a 400 or 500. As soon as I test ridden it I realized the 300 was for me. I simply didn't need the extra power and weight of a bigger bike because being stuck on a 125cc bike for four years the 300 was more than enough.
I’m going to buy my 2016 300 for $3200 tomorrow. I’ll be using it as a daily driver, like anyone commuting to work solo should be, half the cost and material usage. If I was in the city I’d get one of the even more fuel efficient scooters instead, but I have a long commute and need the extra power. I really hope to see more people using bikes as transport in the future, I saw it in Thailand and it really helps traffic, and reduces pollution.
After being on 600's and 1000's my buddy let me ride his 300. Holy shit that bike was fun. It scared the shit out of me at first because of how eager it was to turn in. lol
It's very nimble and throttle response is great. Can change speed and direction a lot quicker than a more powerful bike. Holds it's line around corners really well and gives lots of confidence. If the 300 is fun then would expect 400 to be even better.
Just got a 2017 ninja 300 before I had 2010 ninja 250. What a major upgrade. I have been riding for about 4 months, and learned how to ride on RUclips channels. I ride 3 hours a day, the ABS was the best upgrade put on the small ninja

Mine looks so much quicker and hits about 120mph. Ring this bike out a little more through the gears you will get much better performance out of it.
It’s a perfect bike for someone like me. I’m riding a much larger motorcycle and I’ve been riding for decades, but I really want to hold my skills on something smaller and more forgiving. Some thing that if I draw, I’m not gonna be upset. And it might just save my life by allowing me to really hone my skills and have total control.

is it fast tho?
Dank! Now i been thinking what's a good beginning bike to start, and i see this one, looks so good, the honda one is nice too, my girl back in Philippines has the GSX-R600, that bike is a killer, but i learn some how to drive other there, i wanna drive in USA more often.
Is the rear tyre same width as the 125
Great video brother
I think no ABS because the light should stay on until you drive some meters
It's an SE it has abs :)
i’ve gotten mine up to 113 no back wind or downhill, i’m 5’10 180 so
Ninja 300 vs 400 which one is better?
Vs 500 now. They should probably reintroduce the 300.
Deciding to pick between the r3 or this one
Go with R3, amasing bikes, looks and performance
I rode small bikes 2strokes in the 80/90 s .I'm now looking to get back so I'm watching reviews to get clued up .but what's bothering me is I could a 100 mph outta my gamma 125 .so why are these 300,400 beginner bikes so slow ???.
Really nice Kawasaki ninja 300class review 👍❤️
