      @@brodaforlife From what I've heard no charges have been brought against him but, NBC fired him like instantly as soon as sexual misconduct allegations came to light. They knew he had issues keeping it in his pants and was allegedly using his power at NBC to get with women. It wasn't "criminal" necessarily, I'm guessing but, it was very inappropriate.

    AFLAC's shock at Gilbert Gottfried's joke has always baffled me. It's like they saw Aladdin, said "that's our guy" and then watched absolutely none of his standup.

      Seems like they paid more attention to the sound of his voice. After seeing him on _World's Dumbest..._ as a commentator, and only initially only hearing him on more "family friendly" ventures until then, I would have to conclude this was an instance of critical research failure. Aflac played themselves.

      Just for clarification: the laugh was more at how bad the joke was in its context. I felt guilty for laughing about it, but thinking that shit is remotely funny isn't what I endorse. Dark humor makes me laugh at how it crosses a line, but even when I laugh at the joke itself, I still hate myself for it.

      Yes, choices are mistakes. A mistake isn't limited to getting the question wrong on a quiz or buying the wrong orange juice. A mistake is a lapse of judgment. Who in their life hasn't made stupid choices deliberately, regretted them, and realized in hindsight it was a mistake? I'm so tired of this new culture where we castigate everyone forever because of foolish, imperfect behavior while also acting like we've never done or said anything wrong in our whole lives.

      @@SomethingSomethingg I don’t disagree with you. I’m more referring to people abusing the word mistake to try to lessen the severity or even absolve themselves of their actions. Some of these actions, like molesting/sexually assaulting multiple minors goes beyond a mistake. Or Ellen just being an a hole to staff goes beyond a mistake bc it’s repeated, deliberate behavior.

    When I was a Carpenter building houses, my boss/owner of the company, would ALWAYS talk about how great Lance Armstrong was and how he was the best human being in the world. My boss was also one of those cyclists guys. I would've loved to see his face when Lance got stripped of every title he won etc. Too bad I stopped working for the A-Hole with a Napoleon complex. (He was a really small "square" that treated his workers like crap as soon as he got a little power under his belt)

    Two more, though not as serious as the ones you mentioned: While a Stacey Keach anti-smoking PSA was airing, Keach was arrested for having $7,500 worth of cocaine in his luggage. While a James Dean safe driving PSA was being aired, Dean was killed in a car crash in which he was listed as being the driver at fault.

There are no muscles in the them to help propel you forward. I've worn prosthetics for 10 years, including blades. Let me tell you they don't make anything easier.       So, in a sense, he was found guilty in a court of law.
      Also, he was found "not guilty" during the criminal trial, not "innocent". There is a difference.
