      Grats on your first kid! I have 3 wonderful children who are in their 20's now, but as a gamer, and an artist, i was a stay at home dad for 20 years while my wife, who is far far more successful than me, went to work and ran her empire. (In that time i finished my masters degree in fine art, worked as a self employed 3d and 2d animator and graphic designer) and I loved it. Was the most difficult but rewarding experience i have ever done and raising them into productive, empathic successful kids my greatest success in life.

    What's interesting about the runes is that they already exist in the game files, leftover from an early beta version, and they even feature the correct symbols from (D2).

    I've never traded with a random in any game, and I never want to. If they added an AH, I could at least sell gear without having to actually talk to a random.

    As an Aussie I can tell you that not having a dedicated Australian server is the main reason I play solo. I do play in party sometimes and it's almost unplayable.

    I find it sad that a minion necromancer isn't at least tied for the best necro builds there are. It's right in the name, ffs.

    Disagree with Lucky about Path of Exile level 100 equivalency and the value of that last point compared to D2 and the direction of D4. Passive skill points are very valuable in PoE. The depth involved with the variations to your tree, especially when all points are available to you, is far more impactful that what is implied. I do agree it takes an absurd amount of time to get there especially since PoE penalizes the player for dying with a loss of experience but what better way to teach the player about the importance of defensive layers than the struggle of that journey from 95-100. It's too bad the D4 Paragon tree seems to struggle with its depth but I guess its just not meant to have much, probably so it won't overwhelm the average player.

    The gold-based auction house in D3 was the problem, not the real money one. It was the gold-based auction house that completely ruined the loot chase. You need friction in trade to keep it in check or it completely swamps all loot drops.

      Having the gold based auction made it too easy to get exactly what you want in d3. I hated it. It is already easy to get what you need in d4.
      If you wonder why POE doesnt have an auction house or simple trading is because they believe you need friction in the system. I do believe they added some immediate trading of currency in the latest season but items still require you to actually meet up with someone.

      Trade sites are just the same though, I can find a really good item and sell it for a couple billion gold and then be set for the whole season.

    they should add seasonal mechanics and new types of loot in NM Dungeons like path of exile does with maps maybe, idk why they didn't try this early on in the games launch.

    An argument for the four difficulties for 1-50, I play every season, and I level using campaign. I love story mode, and Lorath is my favorite drunk old mage. Current hard difficulty is a cakewalk for me, so I personally will appreciate the harder mode.

    I have to say as an OG Diablo player/Fan i completely loved rune words when it was introduced into the game. It definitely added another layer to the loot chase, yea it put most unique into the back burner but you still used them till you got the runes needed. Plus the hardest unique items in D2 to drop i still never found them without any trading, including the grandfather, windforce and Tyrael's Might. The only thing i didn't and kinda did like was how random the runes dropped unless you farmed the countess but she could only drop up to a certain levels of runes which sucked. I love lore and its very important to me but i'm totally fine with them changing the symbols and such with the D4 runes, not sure why they did but it doesn't bother me. Strange how some of you didn't care for/or like the runes in or didn't like them in D2 yet you were disappointed how the symbols changed in D4....cant please everyone i guess. Also big fat thumbs down to the auction house, i didn't like it in D3 or WOW but i also didn't like either games very much too.

    I like big numbers. I like higher and higher difficulty. At the end of the day, all difficulties are just holding grounds for the next difficulty. There's no reason to play on less than the highest difficulty.

    Devs said undercity is best place to obtain runes so it is a progressive not an end game

    For many soloers, it's utterly irrelevant how easy they make it to group up. We just don't like it. We don't like having to go through the process of finding another player who wants to do the content NOW. We don't like having to play at someone else's pace. We don't like making them have to play at our pace. I will NEVER group with randoms again.

    Diablo 4's endgame needs work. I want to get to "endgame", find those hot versions of items necessary for my build, replace them, masterwork them, and dial in the power, and then have something to do with all that power other than doing pit or infernal hordes. There just is no end game progression like there is in POE. I want something like mapping, or delving, to do. Not a copy of these activities, but put the geniuses at blizzard to work coming up with something, anything, interesting. Yes, the journey to get there is fun, but then what. My ARPG buddies bought D4 on launch with me, but quit in frustration within months... now they wont revisit/play D4 because they see them doing these huge reworks and that makes them ask the question.... why? The game must be broken! And I am not sure they are wrong.

    I'll still never understand how people can play these games and just turn thier brains off and follow a guide, the character build is the game. The rune word system was not the problem it was balance of the end result items. It actually gave a reason for white items to exist and this game still has a horrible itemization system. Blizzard has proven they have no actual direction with this game and just throw crap at the wall and hope it sticks. Diablo 3 is good cause it's popular? Macdonalds is popular and you aren't going to convince me that's good either

      Completely agree with you.
      I understand that blizz didn't want to make d2.2 but it's shouldn't mean you can't take good ideas from that.
      I think currently every decisions go back to that vidoe from the d3 developer who told us why they made diablo such a mess what you can see these days.
      It is just out of my mind an arpg in 2024 have these shit itemization like d4. Ton of useless stats on items nobody use. No armor or resistance penetration builds. No dmg conversation builds. Everything is just have some multipliers, multiplicative dmges and that's it. On the other side bosses have just more dmg and hp as you go higher in difficultie levels. No added affixes on monsters or anything. I could not even call this lazy developing. This is just more than that.

    Bought this game on release played to level 80 then quit as it was very quickly realized it was a unfinished game, game back for season 4 just to see if I could get any value from the $100 dollar price tag found very quickly they are a struggling game with no idea what they are doing. Bugs nothing works as intended, nothing to do after leveling which was now a 2 hour process for an arpg which is insane to me. This whole conversation makes it clear they legit don't know what they are doing they can't balance their classes damage scaling to INF??? Like get it together man 1 billion dollars and your have a totally trash unconsistent game. Rod Ferguson says progression will be better yet they cut out level 100, I mean I guess since there's not even 100 skill points so there's that. Build diversity seems like it's shrinking as everyone can have every paragon since there's 5.... like we don't want to grind for points that you put in a spot there's no choice there's here's what we designed you play for hours to put the points there. Game is trash designers have no idea what the players enjoy about building and progressing this is total handhold easy garbage well even with the 12 difficulty which is insane considering every thing in this game could be done on HC with blindfold on

    fix yellow gear. full legenday gear is so trash. so trash. the game does not have enough depth and complexity to accommodate that much different dificulties. the game is just overall easy and shallow that dificulties are meaningless. its just sad

      ​@@LuckyLuciano6the problem is that is no other option to amplify your dmg just these brainless multiplicative dmg bonuses. It is boring, lazy and makes most of the builds really similar. I really can say build variety is maybe the lowest in this game. Among all the other arpgs, including D3.

    How is it 2.0 when 1.0 wasnt even done? The answer: it cant be we are still in the process of fixing the base games systems like we did with items. Season 6 btw... imagin the game launching in the s6 state and we already having 6 seasons of CONTENT not reworks right now... that would have been great and worth the D4 2.0 title not what we got right now with a rushed releases and over a year of bad changes to finallaly arrive at the item changed... bruh we still dont have an armory or a market to trade in an ARPG??? After D3? Man how is this 2.0 in any world. We still are behind what D3 did lol.

    1:10, 10:100, 100:1000,are all the same. those billion of damage is necessary when monster hp requires trillion of damage. I appreciate content creators who test what is bis every season.
