The terminal beer is definitely up there. I would put the same caveat on it as Joe did on the vacation beer, it needs to be the first one. I find everything after the first terminal beer doesn't quite land the same. For me it's the first beer after driving 3.5 hours to our cottage. Pulling in, unpacking the car, getting the kids settled in. Then I have that first weekend beer moment in the fresh forest air. Priceless.
You know come to think of it, you’re absolutely right Jim. I officially add that caveat! The second one never hits the same. Ohhh yes! The “just arrived at the cottage and the kids are occupied” beer. So special
3. First vacation beer 2. Cold, refreshing beer on a hot summer day (preferably outdoors with a scenic view) 1. Porter/stout in a wood-panelled pub on a chilly, rainy day
Ohhhh that #1 is amazing. I’ve had many delicious creamy pints of Guinness in cozy pubs across Scotland and Ireland on chilly rainy days. Unforgettable
This is such a great video lads! These “top time to have a beer” moments is something I reflect on a lot while I’m having these types of beers! The terminal and first beer on vacation are up there for me! The cooking beer is good but that may grow on me more as I get older, the surprise beer was an absolute classic that I’ve never thought of! I also love the plane beer which follows great after the terminal beer! Funny I’ve actually been wanting to film a video talking about the terminal beer for a while now! So clearly great minds think alike!
oh yes! amigos I have to go with the sunday afternoon after mowing the lawn or working on the house beer. this is my top one. especially in the summer, nothing beats that ice cold cerveza. cheers!
Great idea and great lists! I like a terminal beer, but I also hate having to pee on the plane. My top 3 are probably: 3. First vacation beer (but *needs* to be after you're checked in and have bags in the room, etc. - you need to be relaxed) 2. A strong beer enjoyed inappropriately early on a holiday, e.g., opening up an imperial stout at 11 AM on Thanksgiving Day 1. Summit beer/post-hike beer, naturally :)
I total get that. I avoid eating before getting on a plane for a similar reason. Ohhhh man Nate… the *appropriately early high Abv beer on a holiday is such a great answer. Spoken like a true pioneer beer explorer.
@@DavidArthur-wo7tv I think so! Been happy with the few games so far overall. Hutson is pretty spectacular to watch. They just need to keep it a little over .500 until Laine gets back.
Great stuff, guys! My own personal legend with 'cooking beer' is that every Thanksgiving I make giblet gravy for the dinner when I have my family over to my house and I always have a beer while doing it. It's about time for it again here in a few weeks. One year I had a really nice Thanksgiving special edition cranberry beer while making the gravy. After that one beer when it's dinner time I pop open the Beaujolais, of course.
It’s indeed almost that time! We got to celebrate it a little earlier in Canada here, so already had my thanksgiving cooking beers. On my end though, once the cooking is done we move onto wild turkey cocktails 🦃 🥃
3 - The ""I just put the kids to bed and settled in to watch the basketball game in peace" beer 2 - The BBQ''ing beer. A slight variation on the cooking beer, but deserves its own mention 1 - The shower beer. Don't knock it till you try it
Shower beers are criminally underrated. A must on vacation. The trick is to not get the shower water in the precious beer and dilute it though. It’s a challenging endeavour but worth every possible life threatening slip and fall coming as a result.
3 best times 1. After playing sport and being physically exhausted 2. After your child is born and you have a quite beer before they start crying. 3. After being yelled at work and it's the first good thing that's happened

It's also nice to have the Terminal beer and have a good conversation with someone at the bar traveling to a different destination.
@@monklife5885 True! Meeting people at the terminal bar over a beer is great.

Great beer minds definitely think alike! 🍻
The plane beer is an interesting one too, for sure.

Oh man Hector, you nailed it. The mowing the lawn beer is a right of passage for men when they hit a certain point in life.
