Moonshine actually started with Irish immigrants coming to the US and setting up stills for poitin. It was usually made at night to avoid the lawmen since it was illegal, or "made by the moon's shine." This is also how NASCAR got started. The bootleggers who transported the shine had to have fast cars to outrun lawmen, and eventually decided to start racing each other on a track to see who was the best. So moonshine and NASCAR are a direct result of the Irish and their drinking...I've never been more proud of my ancestry 😆
It started way back before the revolution. They hid their production from the British to not pay taxes. Then as soon as Washington became president, he put a tax on alcohol and they kept making it in secret. Now the law allows people to distill their own as a hobby, as long as you make less than a certain amount each year. The stuff at the store called moonshine has little resemblance to the real stuff.

There's a place in Colorado that has like tons of flavors of moonshine. When they get to the bottom of the bottle they pour the end into a jar together with other flavors. Then they serve the mixture. The one with tons of flavors together is what I tried for the first time trying moonshine. It was great but the burn that took a minute to finally hit. When it hits it hits.
You really need to try their combo moonshines like caramel apple or peanut butter and jelly.. I don’t know how they do it but the first flavor hits when you drink it and then the second comes as you breath out

I had a small baby food size jar of some one time that tasted like spring water, but hit like Everclear.
More Ole Smoky videos please! They have enough flavors to do so many shoots!
I was going to say the same thing. 😄
Ole Smokey with the cherries inside, is the best.
Obviously Pagan was the best part - adorbs - but Dermot and Colin making one another laugh really, very much made my day. Thank you all.
Recently moved to Tennessee and decided to try the Moonshine. Normally I only ever drink Jameson's, but I'll admit that I'm enjoying the Orangesicle moonshine. Though the drunk reminds me a bit too much of my old Midnight Dragon 40 oz days back in NYC.
Yeah. Unaged corn whiskey. The good stuff is very good, the bad stuff will literally kill you.
Watching this is giving me heartburn
Just bought a shot-size sample of Banana Pudding Moonshine and will be trying it on Thanksgiving. Really, it just sounded so weird that I have to try it. Wish me luck, everyone. If I stop commenting, you know what killed me.
It's delicious!! I buy it anytime I can find Banana Pudding Moonshine. I just bought Egg Nog flavored, and plan on trying it for Thanksgiving.
@@madelinetorrez1976 😋Thanks, Madeline! I'm looking forward to trying it. As much as I love banana pudding, I may have to go back and get one of the big jars. (Or two.) Have a wonderful holiday season!!!
moonshine is good and fireball whiskey is the best i like it when pagan laugh and smile and the humor is getting better everyone had some fun
I fucking love Pagan!
❤
@@tomfuchary I'd seriously worry about anyone who didn't!!!
@@davewhitmore1958 Ageed, you don't want to be diagnosed as not fucking loving Pagan, that sounds terrible.
The first one is on my next shopping list.😊
If ya can use it in a carburetor its moonshine
Was kind of hoping to see the Ole Smoky Cream Moonshines. Their Banana Pudding Cream moonshine is FANTASTIC!
My Grandfather sold Moonshine by the barrel to Al Capone in Hell Hole Swamp South Carolina in the 1930s.
My Great Uncles made and ran Moonshine in SC,NC,Georgia until about 10 years ago....

Wow awesome they love the drink
"Who loves fireball?"
"I LOVE FIREBALL" Great edit hahahaha
The butter pecan is ridiculously good as well as the pickle moonshine with actual pickle spears soaking in the moonshine. Great for Bloody Mary's!
There's so many more flavors so you guys better have a part 3!!!!
Seriously. There's so many good flavors of this
I tried dill pickle moonshine last year and it was amazing. Wasn't expecting to like it at all but it was so damn good.
Love seeing you back Clisaire😊
The peach flavor is excellent 😋
You guys really, really need to do a video of the strongest beers. There's one that is 67.5 ABV. It's called Snake Venom and its made in Scotland. But there's quite a few more strong beers. It would make an awesome video.
🍺🍻🍺🥂🍻
There's a place in Colorado that has like tons of flavors of moonshine. When they get to the bottom of the bottle they pour the end into a jar together with other flavors. Then they serve the mixture. The one with tons of flavors together is what I tried for the first time trying moonshine. It was great but the burn that took a minute to finally hit. When it hits it hits.
**googles 'acrid'**
You really need to try their combo moonshines like caramel apple or peanut butter and jelly.. I don’t know how they do it but the first flavor hits when you drink it and then the second comes as you breath out
