    This not just a technical train video for train heads, but a high quality production that captures the beauty of the area as well. Your drone piloting skills are obviously top notch. You have clearly been flying it first person, and beyond line of sight, which is incredibly tricky when the drone is going both with and against the train. Bravo! Incredible video!!

    Fantastic drone video. Much more interesting than watching four engines then 100 cars from the side. I watch trains at Ordway (Mile Marker 548) most mornings. The "Z" trains pass that grade crossing with five engines forward and two DP's in the middle. Estimated speed is 30 to 35 MPH. They must be in a real hurry to get somewhere.

Vernon and Loma Linda are like a half a mile if not less apart but i guess rules are rules and its good to hear they are abiding by them. @@michlo3393 Doesn't the length add determine the weight the longer it is the heavier it will be right?

    • @michlo3393
      @michlo3393 3 месяца назад +1

      @@CalebA-sv2kw Yes, but intermodal trains are not heavy when compared to a unit train or a manifest train. The length of these intermodal trains adds rolling resistance and they make communication between the locomotive and EOT problematic. So DPU's placed mid-train assist in overcoming the resistance that the length creates, and they act as a repeater for communication between the head and rear ends of the train.
