  • A young man on the path to mastery of "Kishuu bamboo fishing rods" that you'll never get bored fishing with. Hideki Tatsukawa, a young fishing rod artisan who carries on Japan’s tradition. Wakayama prefecture’s Hera fishing rods enhance the appeal of Japanese carp fishing and attract many fishermen. The fibers of the bamboo in the rod are going straight down the water. The fishing rod will convey every subtle movement to your hand, it tells you whether the fish is facing left/right or up/down.
To become a full-fledged artisan, he studies under his teacher, Hideo Jo. After 5 years of training, he left his teacher behind and gone off on his own. After going off on his own, Mr. Tatsukawa’s teacher awarded him the name of Tenshuu, which will engrave into the rod. He is trying his best to make his masterpiece.
The bamboo worker named Tenshuu got his own bamboo workshop and should be done everything with bamboo work at home. The path to mastery is far and steep. However, Mr. Tatsukawa is steadily walking up that path and one day he will surely make it.
