- The Norwich Union building is an imposing feature which was built in Bristol and is now left to rot in a very visible and has a lot of people scratching their heads as to just how stupid Bristols City planners can be to allow a building to be vandalised and degrade in such public view.
Its as if the Bristol City council have three monkey syndrome, whilst massive skyscrapers are being biuld a few hundred yards away right next to the river, buildings like this as rotting.

19:36 That's a BT Kilostream unit made by Hayes you've found there. Kilostream was one of BT's point-to-point leased lines solutions which ran at a whopping max 64kbits/s. Believe it or not BT only discontinued Kilostream in March 2020 and up to that point it was still used by many organisations to link remote sites such as (e.g.) remote DAB multiplexes on distant hilltops with broadcast feeds using BT Musicline.

We went in here a couple years back, met a weird bloke in there though so made the whole thing more uncomfortable haha. Plus trying to get out climbing around that razor wire wasn't fun!

I note the reference to "the old court building". As far as I am aware, the building has never been used as a court. I have worked in the courts for over thirty years.

It was NEVER a Court- sorry. It was built as Norwich Unions Local Head Office in 1962. The Bristol Courts were in Small Street and broad Street.

I remember exploring here years ago, around 2010... we entered through one of those low windows at 1:55 before they put the metal grates over.

Just auto mattically gone to Bristol Norwich Union Bank Explore .Had A WEE WEE up against that bins with the green mesh stuff at 3.20 in to film ,and a blimmin rat the size was big tried to have a real go at me and I weed on its head and it jumped at me and I need it away SCARY

I come from Bristol and this is the old Bank of England building. Did you see the odd pyramid door at the front of the building in the pavement, always wondered where that lead too?
It goes down steps into two big basement rooms...you could get in there January as board was not on that well

At 18 minutes in down that corridor there a door to the left and some teens older then me made a hangout in there and it was cool untill they bored up the entrance recently to the building
Find out what’s going on in the big building opposite where the old granary is. Saw security going in and out. No windows but lights on.
been in there a few says ago , very empty now easy to get into its great if you are starting to explore

Hey Matt I try and watch all your videos but have you considered posting count down shorter versions aswell posting the long one. Appreciate it's more work to do but cud generate more views.
That would mean doing two edits... which takes me much much longer. I polled people previously and they mostly said they prefer the long ones so I would rather stick with one versionb and doesnt confuse things.
