- Movies Anywhere is a free services that syncs your movie purchases across multiple services and storefronts. It’s a very useful tool for deal hunters and collection builders alike.
So how does the service make money? Is Hollywood feeling charitable for some reason? Of course not, there’s a catch.
In the TOS they explain that they collect user data and share it with participating studios and storefronts. Why? Watch the video for my theory.

This was a very woke perspective. Not woke in the way ppl wrongly use woke today. Woke in how it was originally used lol

@@andrewkfb woke originally was used like “keep your third eye open”, “awake to the truth”, “being socially aware”.
Its neither inherently positive or negative.
So back in the 1930s-90s, you were “woke” if you pointed out how the government or business exploits people because you were giving people uncomfortable information most wouldn’t know. Hence MLK, Malcolm X, Robert F. Kennedy, etc etc etc etc
Original “woke” films would be like Spike Lee movies or Terminator which is a movie thats a warning of overreliance on technology & AI, or Mad Max which is a cautionary tale of nuclear power or The Matrix a story where we are all stuck in a little machine & a cycle where the system feeds on human life force.
Thats “woke” even by the dictionary definition.
Colloquialism of woke became synonymous with “diversity” & “progressive” or “liberal ideas”. Which isn’t “woke”. Its being progressive. Dictionaries even say this but most people go with the meaning people have “come to collectively believe” which is wrong.
If someone says you’re “woke” its suppose to mean you’re not sleep to the bullshit. White liberals appropriated the term so it created a negative connotation amongst conservatives. So now ppl think “woke” = anything liberal or gay or woman or nonwhite or race changes or gender changes. Thats not “woke”. Progressive? Yes. But bringing light to a truth most ppl don’t know or are aware of? No.
