Very useful video and the model looks great! I just got some rub and buff for a model, this is great timing thank you very much!

Awesome! Remember traditionally you want to use it light, use that feathering technique I used on the face on the whole model if you want more of the bae coat to leech through or you can use my technique too! Good luck on the project, thanks for watching!

Another diamond DW! Gotta grab some of the Bondo Filler primer looks like it does a way better job than the Rust-Oleum version I've been using.

Curious. (I’m completely new to 3D printing ). I notice you kept talking about sanding at a certain point in your process. So is that another option ? I notice that you stated “this is not the point of this video”. So …. What would the different outcome be if you sanded rather than buffing as you did here ? Probably a very Silly question

No question is too silly, sanding would make the model smoother in certain areas & increase the appearance. I have several videos that show this. However the idea of this process is to still get a great result with no sanding.

@@Darkwingdad I understand. Now would this same process work on larger 3D printed pieces ? Life size armour pieces ? Or just small figures like in the video …

@@davidrussell6159 I’ve done this to 2 crowns and it works great, you can absolutely use it on large prints!

@@Darkwingdad would I use the same paint as you have here ? Rub n Buff ? Or can I use any other spray paint ? (I’m working on some large 3D print armour pieces )

@@davidrussell6159 you can use rub n buff on pretty much anything, what armor are you making?
