I show you how easy it is to change a brake light bulb on a 9th gen Civic, it's about the same on other Honda models, they all basically use the same bulbs.
So in short; Remove the cargo liner, remove the two screws holding the assembly, remove the transmission, remove the driver's side halfaxle, remove the differential, remove the engine, remove the car, and remove the bulb. Easy! jkjk. Cool video man! I'm surprised it was that easy on the Civic. I once tried changing a headlight bulb on a CR-V and my hands were just too big.. People were recommending things like taking the bumper off. (and they were serious). Fortunately I had a friend with much smaller hands.
Came here to make sure whst I was trying to do was accurate. Thank you, i was having trouble snapping the little pieces off and i didnt wanna break them..i will use more force 😆
Excellent video! I have a weird behavior. The left rear red light does not turn on when pushing the brake pedal but the central optional and the right rear light turn on properly. I thought that the left light was broken, but if I turn the front lights on while driving during the night the left rear light turns on again only in that situation! What is this? (Same car as you)
It is absolutely ridiculous how much people try to charge to change something that can take 5 minutes. I'm 38 weeks pregnant and I was able to install this myself. It is not hard. When the mechanic told me they charge $50 to replace this I'm sitting here thinking I know something like this doesn't take that long to replace. Look this up and I was able to do it
Thank you! I’m 31 and have never changed a brake light in my life and I just did it for the first time after seeing this!
Girl me too exactly haha
Just what I needed and straight to the point. Thank you!!!
Thank you! I just used this video in 2022 to do my own for the first time haha kinda feeling dumb how easy it is :P
Great video, just replaced my first break light. Much appreciated
Thanks! this video was helpful
Nice video! The new LED bulbs looks great!
Northern Virginia Dashcam Thanks!

What's the brightest LED lights that I can get for the brake lights?
Very helpful, thank you!!
What bulb # is the third brake light
Is it twist, pull or both lol?
Nice how to. Maybe I can help change my Cousin's Civic tailight bulbs with this vid.
Edit: whenever the bulbs go out lol.
South Carolina Dashxam They are super easy.
Thank you!
The bulb just does not pull out. You don’t have this on camera either.
Hi, I changed the third brake light but it doesn't work at all.
The others on the tail lights are working. Woould you know the fuse for that?
Sorry, I'm not too sure about that.

Same problem.. we're you able to figure it out? I see it's been 3 years.
@@momo_king3359 I was over complicating things!!! The light bulb was burned and I replaced it as shown in the video! Good luck
@@gekkogordon Thank you for the reply! Will just go ahead and replace it. Thanks again!
Ty bud
Awesome
Hey, you de-badged it and painted that chrome strip black just like me. Oh and thanks for the video and for adding the parts number it helps bigtime.
My taillight still on, but when you hit the brake it did nothing. Probably the fuse?
I’m having this problem now.. was it a fuse?
