    This wireless system is all that you said it was. I have had it for about two weeks and it is AWESOME!!!

  • @masterpdj2623

    I've had it for a few years now and there is a small lost in bass that can be almost EQ'd out but no dropouts at all within a reasonable range. Run one speaker with a cable and use the pack on the other speaker and you'll hear the difference. I always go sub up so my alto pack is plugged into the sub. But all in all it's a good system and by far beats BT for dependability. I rarely use this system but I think I'm going start using them more again for a cleaner setup.

    I got this in October this year. My main rig was setup in the backyard at the venue and I had two remote ZLX15p's upstairs and inside the venue for the dinner area. Worked really well.

    I've had them for years and use them all the time my longest range I've done is at a annual car show. Over the years I have figured out it I put my transmitter on my photobooth back drop stand it gets it up about 9ft and I have ran my speakers out about 300-400ft with no dropouts. There is a slight delay but you need some if your that far out so works perfectly. I just need to buy the new version since mine are the old frequency version.

    My product completely failed on me at a house party. Don't know if the receivers were too low to the ground or what, but it definitely put a damper in the party because the feed would go in and out. It was pretty close quarters and the system might have had a hard time with the amount of people's phones. I'm going to give it another try with the receivers at a higher position.

    • @timbrownproductions11

      @@islandvibe3855 I did. I found out there's three settings on the side to help with the Radio Frequency interferences. When I switched them around it helped. But still get those cut-outs and I'm deathly afraid of that happening during a ceremony with no solution. So I've been running corded. And trying to not go too far past the limit.

    DJ RACHEL you should do ALL reviews for IDJNOW, you are the best! I hope they pay you what you earn for 1 gig for each review. Whats the difference between this wireless system and the other one you reviewed where it was just a stick you plugged into the speaker? That one seems so much easier.

      If that's the Alto Total, it's a bluetooth receiver, so the range is more limited, there's a slight delay, and you have to already have a bluetooth device/transmitter.

    Thanks for sharing and demonstrating this wireless system. One test performed on agiprodj was using a wireless microphone, go out to your furthest speaker and talk into the microphone. From that, you can see your mouth moving and hearing the sound from your speaker to prove no delay. It's great that you say there's no delay, but to see it in video is ... well you know. Anyway, I am very thankful for your video as agiprodj's system does not support wireless system straight from amp to speaker. So, I was bummed about that and then found your video. I'm going to Guitar Center tonight to pick up my first wireless system! Man, I feel like my response is a huge ad for others...LOL

    So instead of running 400 feet of speaker cable you ran 350 feet of power cable? Any experience with Sennheiser or Xvive wireless receivers? Seems like an easier option.

    • @idjnow-gear-up
      @idjnow-gear-up  4 года назад

      Well you have to run power cables regardless to power the speakers. This allows you to not worry about needing the correct length XLR's. But I see where you are coming from.. Sennheiser makes great stuff, but its still going to need power if its not eating up batteries.

    Thank you for the review, I found it very interesting!
    I'm considering this setup for a live band performance, should I be concerned about any latency?
    I'm thinking that as a DJ you might afford to sacrifice some latency for the convenience (please correct me if I'm wrong), but a in our playing situation that might not work, as we don't have a sophisticated monitoring system to isolate our selves from the main speakers.
    Your thoughts are much appreciated!
    Thank you

    Thank You for the great and detailed review!!!! That said, I did have 1 question. When you had your setup and the car show. I noticed your two main speakers setup right in front of your DJ Booth, and then you had the other speaker with the Alto Wireless pack in the far distance. And so, my question is.... Did you have all speakers setup using the Alto Wireless packs, or did you have your speakers setup in a hybrid setup where your two (2) front mains were cabled, and only the far speakers were setup via the Alto Wireless packs?
    I'm curious as that would be nice to see that is can also work in a hybrid setup. i.e. the more options the better.

      Hello AMamea,
      thx for your question. there's not issue if your blending 2 or 3 or even 4 sources. there's no delay as long as you're within 100 feet line of sight. the only delay you can have if the room has high ceilings or i should recommend a DSP to set the sound delays and align it with your front house mains.

    The XLR connector output in the receiver is a Line Bal or a Mic Bal signal ¿?

    How do these compare to the pro?

    • @idjnow-gear-up
      @idjnow-gear-up  3 года назад +1

      Hello DJ King,
      the differences are that the wireless can be used within 100 feet line of sight whereas the pro version is up to 330 feet max line of sight. offers more channels as well.
      thx.

    Hi thanks for the review, I've just bought one. I'm just getting into PA - Would you recommend a XLR "speaker cable" from the stealth receiver pack to the active speaker, or a "microphone cable" as it's seems to be a slightly different configuration as opposed to XLR coming straight from speaker to mixer?

    • @idjnow-gear-up
      @idjnow-gear-up  5 лет назад

      Thanks for your question! XLR speaker cables and microphone cables are the same cable. You can use a cable as such - www.idjnow.com/clutch-20-foot-xlr-cable.html

    DJ rachel, I have a gig coming up where I am using two EVs for my main setup and the JBL EON ONE compact for a different room. My question is, I'd like to have all three wireless, so how do I incorporate my QSC Subwoofer to this setup ? As of now I connect my controller into my external Yamaha mixer. My outs (XLR) from the mixer come down to my 18" QSC sub and then from my sub out to my two tops. Where do I incorporate the Alto wireless stealths in order to still route my sound out of my subwoofer into all three tops ? Do I plug my left and right out from my Subwoofer into the Alto receiver ?

    • @idjnow-gear-up
      @idjnow-gear-up  4 года назад

      You can connect the stealth to the mixer and go to the three tops with the receivers and then connect the sub to the two mains that are in the same room with wires. Or you can get five receivers and plug two of them into the sub since it has a left and right.

      Joe,
      This unit is not meant for that application. With live instrument events you'll always want to go wired.

    Trying to find the power splitter you used on the back of the speaker, cant seem to find that anywhere online. Can you send a link of some sort? I was also wondering if it would be safe to use the plug to plug in my 18inch subwoofer. I would be using the 15' high on a pole mount with my 18' subwoofer. Currently I'm running 2 long extension cords to power both speakers. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    Does the trim left and right control volume level?

    • @idjnow-gear-up
      @idjnow-gear-up  4 года назад

      Trim control is typically used to adjust the level of the incoming signal as it enters the outsource, recording interface, PAs, mixer, etc. :)
