      Was it the newest model? Not the older model. And did you try adjusting the squelch in really tough environments? Not all wireless is perfect, but this one should have the tools to get the job done in 99.9% of situations. But it’s definitely possible that EVERY frequency was taken in that really busy area.

    Love your videos, my new favorite channel. I have one question about this system. Being a digital system, why doesn't it have a full range frequency response ? I was really interested in this, but this is robbing lots of low frequency from the bass. Doesn't seem like a viable solution to transmit signal to my sub. Good for the top speakers tho'.

    • @ScottUhlMusic

      That’s a good question, I honestly do not know. I use it for the tops though and have not tried it with large subs. I’ve used it with my ev 50 and they are fine, but not my singer’s large subs

I am still having no end of trouble getting a clean channel, and Alto only refer to their existing FAQ and help stuff all of which I have already completed. I like the delay option.

    • @ScottUhlMusic
      @ScottUhlMusic  4 месяца назад

      I do agree I wish there was a wider bandwidth. Although I did just use this two nights ago at a very complicated show and it worked like a charm 🤘 another 12mhz of bandwidth would make me happy though.

  • @raggaroaringsound

      When you are looking for a clean channel, you want to see no RF and as little RF as possible when the receiver is on and the transmitter is off. Then you want to set the transmitter and receiver to that clean channel and then the RF should go up to basically 100 👍

    I looked at this product a while ago but settled on a much better product - The MIPRO MI-58. It's essentially an IEM unit. It's 5ghz, digital, 20-20,000hz and is rock solid. No quality loss whatsoever and with all that considered - it's less than 1.8ms latency. I cannot find any other product that does what it does. A true cable replacement.

    • @ScottUhlMusic
      @ScottUhlMusic  8 месяцев назад

      It’s definitely not going to replace this, which is true diversity, way more channel options, scanning and squelch control. Use what works best for sure! But that cheaper product isn’t the same as this professional one 👍

    • @KevMusician

      @@ScottUhlMusic The MIPRO MI-58 definitely is true diversity and has more channels (60 channels with 64 IDs per channel = 3840). It's around the same price once you add 2 receivers - if not a bit more. It's definitely a professional system - but I agree, it's good to have options :)

    • @KevMusician
      @KevMusician 4 месяца назад +1

      @@TheCompoundctc
      The receiver is powered by a 3.7V Lithium battery. To save me from recharging it all the time, I take power from the speaker and run a small AC-DC 3.7V Power Supply. I used a piece of plastic dowelling to mimic a battery and connect the +/- to the battery terminals. The bodypack receiver powers up every time I power the speaker up :)
      For the audio, it's 3.5mm to XLR. Cable is wired L/R respectively.
      All this is housed in a neat little black box and mounted to the back of the speaker. Works flawlessly. Zero latency. Full 20hz-20khz. Indistinguishable to a cable.
