    Thanks for being patient everyone! This one was a doozy! After almost getting kicked out of the house for playing the same song for over a week this Alto Professional Stealth Pro review is FINISHED! 🥳 I have ran numerous tests and trust me this is the MOST COMPLETE REVIEW out there.
    The Stealth Pro is an affordable wireless solution that eliminates the need for speaker cabling up to 200 feet and offers even greater performance capabilities than the previous Stealth Wireless system.
    This is a great AFFORDABLE solution for DJs looking to go wireless within a budget.
    I’m doing something a little different this time. We’re going to have a scavenger hunt! 😯 Be sure to watch the WHOLE video and keep your eyes open for a small “secret discount code” that is hidden somewhere in the video. This will give you the BEST PRICE available from our friends at NLFX Professional. All you have to do is put the code word hidden in this video in at the CHECKOUT page (not in the cart) to receive your exclusive discount! 🤑
    🚨 Full disclosure there are other options that will outperform the Alto Stealth Pro in certain situations, but typically these options are are MUCH more expensive. If you currently have a wireless unit you love then there is no need to watch this 20 minute review or comment. 🤣🚨

    Fantastic review, Rachel! You went to a lot of trouble and set up all those scenarios for us - kudos! The only thing I would've liked to have seen would be a visual of each receiver, in their various locations during your demonstration, to gauge the signal strength at the different distances and through the various obstructions. I just purchased this unit, along with the expansion kit (with 2 additional receivers) so your video will be very helpful. Thanks again!

      Raise you SQ to a little higher number like 3 or 4 sounds like you have yours on 1 or 2. This video made me go back and really under Squelch and now my system is incredible. But for while there I couldn't trust it because my SQ was at 1 or 2 picking up everything even when you scan it had trouble finding a clear ch (It's your SQ). I even sent it in for repair thinking something was wrong with my 2+2 extender packs I own but it was the SQ all along set too low. I'm back in love with ALTO Stealth Pro

    Great video!....Just a word of caution, I just recently purchased the Alto Stealth Pro unit and according to their website you are supposed to receive in the box Padded Zipper Bags for the transmitter and both receivers. In addition you are supposed to get the BNC front panel antenna connectors and the BNC cable extensions so you can mount antennas on front rack. None of these items I mentioned were included in my new Stealth Pro unit. It appears from watching your video that you did not receive them either, please correct me if I'm wrong. I've emailed Alto support hoping they will ship these items.

    An even less obtrusive piggyback cable is the Truetone ACY-US that hooks up directly between the speaker and the original IEC power cable of the speaker and provides an outlet for the power adapter. (One of the venues I perform at provides speakers and they hook up the power - in this case the piggyback cables in the video would be very inconvenient since it would require me to mess with their power wiring that's already in place).

    I have that system and it DOES have a HORRIBLE noise if it loses power. I had to adjust the squelch to ALMOST the point of cutting out the sound..then back it down slightly. Also I tested the system with it from my garage into the far end of my house...I did in fact get some static. I used it at a event and didn’t have an issue with it. I have my transmitter mounted in a rack in my dj booth. I had to move it down a space from my Shure BLX4R receiver because it did interfere with it. Over all happy with my purchase. I just had to learn and test it to get the proper set-up.

      The ALTO STEALTH Pro works great for the price, but there are better options out there hence the Sennheiser EW 100 G4 (which is double the cost). For weddings or events where I only need one speaker, I’ll use the Sennheiser. If I need multiple speakers out like a car show or some thing the alto works well. 🙂 It really boils down to what’s in your budget and how many speakers do you need to be wireless. Where I think Alto fell short in this package deal is they give the option to front mount the receiver antennae onto the rack mount bracket but they don't include the extension BNC cable to allow you to do so. I'm still upgrading to the Stealth Pro though as I already have the original Alto Stealth as well as the Alto Total. I just think that for the price this unit sells for and the fact that the brackets are already designed to mount the antennae that the extension cables should be included.

    I love this video Rachel! thinking of picking this up myself. I'm guessing like all other wireless receivers, you should scan at the location in which the receiver will be and then bring them to the transmitter and sync or pair them correct? What do you find yourself setting the volume on the transmitter and receivers to be set on? Thanks again!

    • @DJRachelLynch
      @DJRachelLynch  3 года назад +2

      Thanks for checking this out. I appreciate you stopping by the channel. ☺️
      I do a clean scan at every event. There have been a few times when I have had to make adjustments during the event. These are completely environmental so you need to make sure these are dialed in at all times. Get them high and use direct line of site as much as possible.
      Turn on your loudspeaker, adjust the output level on your mixer, and adjust the Trim controls on the transmitter to hear the audio signal. If you hear noise in the signal, change to a different channel until a clean signal comes through.
      As for my volume settings, it’s hard to tell because I use several different controllers and speaker types depending on the event these are needed. I always dial them in each time so I can’t recall an exact personal setting. I also haven’t used them in a year so... 😅😂🤷🏼‍♀️

    Having worked in the professional sound field for over 36 years keep in mind that your relying on a RF signal in a remote residential area when using the transmitter to the receiver at great distance. When you get into a area that has a high level of RF from wifi to cell service and other UHF wireless systems it could possibly become a issue. Other than that it seems to work well.

    Just in case Alto Professional follows feedback on your presentation: I am a full-time professional and own a number Alto Products and have been very pleased with them; they have performed well. I have been also been considering acquiring these for all of our PA Systems for quite some time, but I am concerned because there seems to be a blackout on user reviews on this PRO-2 Version of across the web. Perhaps Alto Professional could help us, as much as you have, by either backing this with a published rock-solid return/exchange policy, publishing real-time customer feedback and what they are doing to resolve issues, and/or by providing us some additional information to set aside our concerns.
    Again, thank you Rachel and Best Wishes! BobbyG

Through trial and error, I kind of just figured it out. I will ALWAYS run a cable if possible, but these have helped me out a ton in a lot of complicated DJ setups. • @DJRachelLynch

      To my knowledge there is no IP rating. But in reality if they are getting wet, so is your speaker. Nobody should be using any of their audio gear in a wet environment. So you’d do the same thing for these as you would your speakers if it stated to rain… protect them.

      HeadShot Heroes I’m not sure if it’s a coincidence but to my understanding of how UHF works, wind would not effect it in any. Either way, it was a breezy day using these and as you saw everything worked great. 🙂
      It is a different cable. It’s a XLR mini to XLR. If you mount it to the speaker with the Velcro or the fly point bolt it’s enough length. However I don’t see why you couldn’t daisychain an extra cable if you needed it to be longer.
      If you end up purchasing it I hope you love it. 🙂

    Hey Rachel, Love your videos! Question, I currently have the older Alto wireless system, but like many others you have to work with it and have the line of sight just right to make them work. It’s a little more work, but I make ‘em work. Interested in upgrading. Your opinion .... the New Alto Pro or something like the Senheiser XSW-D?
    Little about me, I’m a single operator, Wedding DJ mostly, about 75% of the time I need to set up extra speakers to cover sound for cocktail hour and dinner. Usually run the Alto wireless through my booth out, so when the dancing starts, I can turn them off from my controller.

I haven’t used the Sennhesier system you mentioned but I do feel my EW100 G4 blows this out of the water but again the price point with both units isn’t really fair. • @DJRachelLynch
      @DJRachelLynch  2 года назад

      You want your RF meter to have the most bars possible. The lower the bars the more congestion there is on that frequency. Scan every time you use and find the most “open” channel. Most of what you’re looking for is explained in the manual.
      Just a side note…
      Adjusting the squelch is relatively straightforward. You simply set your mic up (powered on) at the furthest distance (or worst case) you ever expect to use it and adjust the squelch at the receiver until it just gates off your mic. Then move it back up just a little for an extra margin of safety.

    • @DJRachelLynch
      @DJRachelLynch  3 года назад +1

      I’m gonna be honest. I literally just followed the manual. 😅😬
      The transmitter must be in Sync mode to accept frequency changes made by the receiver.
      If you are setting up a system using multiple receiver-transmitter pairs, set up each receiver one at a time and keep each receiver powered on as you set up additional units. This will prevent each pair from automatically selecting the same channel.
      Make sure the receiver is powered on and within 3 feet of the transmitter.
      Press the Sync button on the transmitter. The Sync indicators will flash on both channels in the Display, and the transmitter is ready to receive channel and frequency information from the receivers.
      With Sync flashing on the transmitter, press the Freq button on the receiver you want to synchronize until the RF indicator flashes on the Display (see image). When the RF indicator flashes, the receiver will enter broadcast mode and transmit channel and frequency information via the 2.4 GHz frequency.
      If that doesn’t work, try to do it manually.

Bodies can affect the signal as they are technically very large “bags of salt water.” While results can vary under different environmental conditions, it does sound like something is off. If there's no delay, This would literally solve my dilemma and be incredibly helpful.

      @@Glitchesftw I’m sorry to report I don’t own this unit anymore. Otherwise I would. I think at that distance you’d be fine.
      Is it possible to use a rubber mat or gaff tape to eliminate the trip hazard?

    I have the same issue with the old model, and some time cut off the signal of the shure mic.

      This model is MUCH better than the previous one.

    How does it compare to your sennheiser G4 wireless system?

    • @DJRachelLynch
      @DJRachelLynch  4 года назад +1

      DJ Ace it’s holds it’s own but it’s not really a fair comparison. The G4 is literally double the price. If I just need one wireless speaker I’ll just the EW 100. If I need multiple I’ll use the Alto.

      DJ Rachel thanks! I bought the 1st stealth system and it occasionally wouldn’t work....and trying to decide which system to upgrade to (between the G4 vs the alto pro)

    Hey Rachel. Why did you go from the Alto to Sennheiser?

    • @DJRachelLynch
      @DJRachelLynch  2 года назад +1

      Both units serve two different purposes. One offers multiple wireless speakers while the other is extremely reliable but much more expensive. I only own one Sennheiser EW 100 G4 and is double the price of the Stealth Pro. I choose which system fits my needs the best. 9/10 I only need one wireless option for cocktail hour or a ceremony. So no need to bring the Stealth out. I will always use my Sennheiser if possible. But both have their place and work well.

      @@DJRachelLynch you feel the alto is unreliable? What is the exact sennheiser unit you’re using? I have the sennheiser EW D system. Is it the body pack, the instrument pack, etc?

      @DJRachelLynch  2 года назад +1

      @@DeeJay_IMB I don’t feel it’s unreliable. It works very well. But like any UHF unit it’s not perfect. As explained in the video it’s results are environmental. But there are things that can help tremendously with signal strength. It’s helped me in a lot of complicated situations where wireless was needed. I will always run a cable if I can.
      I use the Sennheiser EW 100 G4. You’ll see it in many of the gigs logs. 🙂
