Literally just tried this cooking method today at my mother's for Christmas. Made 3 large tomahawks and all 3 came out perfect thanks to this video. Thank you so much for posting😋👍❤️😋
I wanted to thank you for this video. We host Thanksgiving every year and I like to make a few of these for our guests. I use this video and recipe and it’s always a hit! Thanks again!
Oh man, I picked up 2 today at Walmart. In the fridge with some salt on them for a few hours, & going on the grill tonight. Can’t wait to see how they turn out. Hungry!……..Ok, I saw that tomahawk came from Smiths in Orem, so I’m just up the road in park city. This summer someone took me to an outrageously overpriced steakhouse in town for a tomahawk. What I cooked tonight, with one from Walmart for $25 following your approach was so much better. It was amazing. Thanks
Yep, that's why I'm doing this. Food is cheaper and BETTER, if you know how to do it yourself. It's so easy, too. Plus, you can claim full bragging rights with results like these. I've never seen a Tomahawk at Walmart though... I've seen vacuum sealed Pig Heads but that's when I lived in Southeast Texas. I purchase Tomahawk steaks from Harmons and Smith's around here. I save a lot of Money at WinCo, though.
I have to say that's the best looking tomahawk ribeye stake I have ever seen. Beautiful!😎😎...You are a grill master for sure. I bet it was Awesome too! Keep me coming brother!!
Thanks but I'm no master and, that's the beauty of this method. It can be done by anyone and get the same results their first try, if they follow these instructions.
Oh I hear ya and I appreciate that. My channel is very versatile, with recipes from around the world but, if steak is your thing, check this out ruclips.net/video/aI9p6E0vk1E/видео.html
Bought one of these ridiculous things on a whim, had no idea what to do, picked your video out of a dozen, thought it was too good (easy) to be true, NAILED IT! (thanks man)
That's why I'm doing this. Others channels are trickin' folks up with mediocre instructions and ego. On my channel, I take you straight to the finish line from the start, often, in half the watch time too! 🍻 Subscribe and tell your friends!
Don’t really have the tomahawk that much, but the ribeye itself has always been my favorite cut of steak. And I agree, the cap is so good. If I ever get a tomahawk ribeye, I’ll make sure to remember this.
That turned out real nice. I think most butchers and steak houses would refer to this as a cowboy cut though. “Tomahawk” usually implies a full rib bone, 8”-12” but the thickness of that steak is definitely tomahawk. It’s just semantics, same difference if you ask me.
Holy Sh*t man, need a new keyboard now, after the drool gummed it up after watching perfection! Hope it was as good as it definitely looked! Cheers Bro!
@@PMGK my uncle gave me a 1.3 kg tomahawk for Christmas, I’m pulling it out next week so it was great to watch your video for some tips. Thanks for that, wish me luck! Im heading off for 4 months in India and I won’t be getting any steak for that time, so I’ll have to make it count.
Not so poor.lol. The grill marks didn't appear because you flip on the same part of the grill. Choose a different spot and see. Anyway. You nail it. 1 hour with season and room temp. Hot hot grill. I turn grill of and put on top rack for 5 minutes after the initial 10. I did one last weekend. It was almost twice the size. Nice job as usual
More amazing food porn, cousin! I will be making my first tomahawk this weekend....I hope it comes out nearly as good as yours! At the end did you dip in some reserved garlic butter???
P.s. this is a Rib steak. Why? The bone is the rib..on the other hand...a ribeye steak is not the same cut of meat..and does not have a bone. Plz do not confuse your steaks In the future..and by the way...r u sure on how to broil a steak..i have broiled thousands and think the way you cook ...is too confusing..

So glad it worked well for you and your family. Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅😇🥂
So far, that's the best technique I've seen yet. My wife and I are having a tomahawk for Christmas dinner and I'll be trying this method.
Thx, 🙏 my whole channel is simplified this way. Hope to see you back. 🍻
I bookmarked this video after I picked up my first Toma for the grill, and reference it constantly, LOL

you can cook a steak in your own home better than you ever could get at a restaurant.
True
Wow that’s some steak! I’m drooling! Thanks for sharing
Right??
You're sure welcome! 🍻

Same technic can be applied to a ribeye this thick. Approximately 3"+. 🥩 🍻
@@PMGKNice. Thank you for that suggestion.
That's about the best video you've ever made! 😋
Are you sure that you don't just love steak?? 😂
Yummy! I like the cap to and I must say that is a fine looking steak!!
Definitely the best!🙌🍻

This worked really well. Perfectly cooked. Thank you.
No problem 🍻
Wow!! Excellent job!! I’m a believer!! Thank you!!

Omg i could have went threw the screen and grabbed a piece...Thank you for sharing
That's why I film it this way! 😂 🍻

Always! 😂 🍻
Oh man.... good stuff. You made me want to do it myself. First te for me.
That's the whole point... Get out and do it! ☺ 🍻
Y did you do this Video??
I’m crying now and also Hungry.
This is so Good ..my brother 👍
Many thanks 🙏
Incredible!
Thx 🍻
Looks delicious!!! Subscribed!
Thanks and welcome!
@@PMGK 🤜🤛
Damn this made me so hungry
Time to cook some Taters! 🥔🥩🍻
I like your voice. Your steak looks most outstanding Good Sir
Yes, thank you. It's fun, tasty and easy to do! 🥩🍻
Looks delicious!
Thx 😊 🍻
The Cap is the best part, for sure. Chewing on the bone is second, followed by the fatty part of the eye.
I've been eating a lot of top sirloin caps lately because it's half the price of ribeye and I can cut those pecanha steaks as thick as I want. 😋 🍻

Truth but, actually, it was the first grill marks I missed because I rushed the start when the grill wasn't hot enough. Cheers 🍻
thank you!
No problem, enjoy!🍻
So would this be considered as medium rare???
Yes! 😁 🍻
…nice❤❤❤
🥩 🍻
Feeds 4 ppl ? Not in my house !LMAO
You have to consider the sides... 🍻
Ilani Casino wants $99 for that. Is that normal?
Yes and even higher, at some places. 😢
In my opinion, if you want well done, there's always beef stew.....
EXACTLY
👍
🙏 🍻
I'm gonna put my tomahawk steak on grill in a few minutes
Nice. I just finished a Top Sirloin Steak. I'm sure you're enjoying your steak by now, too! 🍻
This. Temperature. Is. Medium. Well. So. Deleisios. Tomahawk. Ribayesteak❤❤❤
🐮
More amazing food porn, cousin! I will be making my first tomahawk this weekend....I hope it comes out nearly as good as yours! At the end did you dip in some reserved garlic butter???
Yes. The left over Garlic Butter in the foil is what I use. 😊🍻
You cooked it too much for medium rare..
Nah, it's perfect. Thermometers don't lie! 🍻
Esta crudo.
No no no, it’s medium rare. That’s how most ppl like it in the states. Tender, juicy, give it a try.
Perfecto

It's still a ribeye steak, it's literally the same piece of meat. Bone in Ribeye and Boneless Ribeye are the same cut!
Wow, sounds like you're the one that needs a few lessons in butchery. 😕
