My dad did something similar with my grandparents door lock when I was a teenager and left the only key inside their place. 😬😆 He was mad as hell, and filed down another Abloy key to fit the lock, all the while telling me if I ever spoke of it, he would come for my neck. Granted he did work at a locksmiths' when he was young, and there are Abloy locks everywhere in Finland. Well RIP dad, now that you're gone, I can finally tell the story without getting killed in the process! 😂😂

And it took time for me to realize that the reason he didn't want me to tell anyone was that just making a new key like that, by filing another Abloy key, is something that he wasn't really supposed to be able to do, not every one could, can, or should! But the way it seemed so easy for him to just do that instead of calling a locksmith somehow clouded my mind and I didn't think it was a big deal. My dad, the potential criminal.. 😁😁 It's a cool story about him, and now I understand how unlikely it is that somebody could just make a key like that.

    Hi.
This is nice to watch, but anyone who sees an abloy key that fits the lock in advance will see key cuts 1-2-3-4-5.
Of course, it's nice to make that bull, and play with it.
Here, as in many presentations, there is already a ready-made key.
Abloy Classic is still a really sure lock, but unfortunately, Chinese and cheap serial production creators have copied the summery model. Its protection patent has already expired.
    That's a nice video.

Abloy keys only need about 5 degree accuracy for a cut (cut is measured in degrees from the uncut surface, and the deepest cut is 90 degree with 15 degree per step). The tolerances are only barely tight enough to not allow half cut key to match both choices. The spacing between the discs required about 0.5 mm accuracy so that may be harder part with hand file.

Great job Daz! Very entertaining video, splendid, please keep it up! I was surprised you did so much filing after the first attempt, it worked out obviously but I would've expected you to impression it from there, or do very subtle adjustments, trying after each stroke or something like that. Ballsy move but it worked obviously, fantastic!

Thank you Toni, I think it was one of those thing I just really wanted to work. I said to my self just before I started I would give it three attempts, but as you see it only took two, I was made up it worked. Have a fantastic weekend my friend.

You do know the British secret service are now going to be calling round at your house to offer you a job. They will wasnt you to climb into the boot of 007's car and when Mr Bond nicks a key, you are guy in the boot of his car making a wooden copy to slip to him.
I hear the pay's not great but you get to see the world. Well from inside the boot of 007's Aston Martin. 🤣👍🏻
Absolutely awesome Job on that key duplicating.
Were you constantly referring to the photocopy as you filed away at the wood?

Fantastic mate, wouldn’t that be something 😂 I love Aston Martin Cars,
I had the photo copy just out of camera shot, but I’d made a mental note of the bitting, & run through making the key a 100 time in my head, it’s a video that I’d been wanting to do for months, I’m so pleased it worked out so well. Have a great weekend Roy.

Excellent job bro, great idea I love how you think. Just getting home from the hospital, so I'll use this as a excuse, not to be in a great mind or mood. I sent out some great package not to far back and still do when I have the $. You remember, I wanted so bad to belong to this Awesome community we have. And I was on disability doing it to. A lot of people forgot about that shit, and that's okay ì guess. Just wanted your input on having knowledge of the ones that don't return the love. What do you do? I try to forget about it, until ì did the math. I spent over $2500 on shipping packages that month, and the cost of what I shipped to people, and I still am being called cheap. I ship what ì can,and sometimes I get from people, you just send out packages of what ever, because when the other person has sent out what they call A sweet package they think mine is cheep. I don't understand. I'm not making a penny on any videos. I just wanted to build up a great bunch of subscribers. I'm not bitter at anyone, because they no not what they are talking about. How do you handle this kind of comments without wanting to throw in the towel. I'm afraid to add up the packages and locks I have bought and have given out. But some of the Un- regulars really make it hard to go on. Sorry bro I'm feeling down after all that has happened to me in the last couple of weeks. And please believe I know my true friends on here. Sounding like a little girl. Got to get more pain meds in me and chill. Sorry my brother. Looking for a reason to quit.
Sorry to dump on you,I don't have a lot of people that have helped me out in the beginning like you. I'm hurting
