Tai Lung is a victim of unrealistic expectations and corruptions within education. If he were raised without any expectations and were allowed to freely explore martial arts, he would be a famous grand master in the valley. Not necessarily a dragon warrior, but a master that protects the people. You can see how painful he sounds when he says "who makes me train til my bone cracks" or "what i did, i i did to make you proud". All of his anger comes out not because of his evil nature (i believe he was never evil by birth), but because of his desperation when he realizes everything he fights for becomes nothing. It's like losing everything and having to start from the beginning. It's really tough. Not taking any credits from Po, but a panda that trains martial arts for only a few months beats the best grand master that trains for his whole life sounds ridiculous to me lol.
You can even see the one moment when shifu apologizes...when Tai Lungs eyes lighten for a moment...but this is only a moment. What Shifu said, he should have been said 20 years ago. Saying it 20 years after he locked his son away for flying into a blind rage is far too late for an apology. Tai Lung had 20 years of rage and grief to stew and plot in the bottom of a cave unable to move. 20 years to reinforce his mentality.
I doubt he is a victim of it, he made everyone else a victim of it. He was the greatest Kung Fu student in China, in fact he was so good, no one else ever managed to impress Shifu again, not Tigress, not Po. Shifu being the best teacher in China as well, says a lot. He mastered it to such a dangerous level, they built a whole prison just for him.

From what i understand, Tai Lung was trained from infancy before being detained for 20 years. Assuming he was at least 16 when he was arrested, he'd be at least 36, or 38 if he was arrested at 18, presently. That means he spent his entire youth training to the point of breaking, being promised his grand destiny, only to have it denied without argument l, to be told you weren't enough, and being expected to be okay with that. Imagine your entire life being taken away, the sacrifices made and opportunities missed all beacuse your hero gave you false hope. I'd be broken too.
His grievance with Shifu is not unwarranted; Tai Lung went through hell with his training, was raised with fatherly love from Shifu, and when Oogway denied him the scroll, Shifu did nothing to change his mind or explain why to Tai Lung. When Tai Lung went to prison: Shifu never visited him or tried to contact him, he never explained to Tai Lung why he wasn't the Dragon Warrior and the only answer he could give on the matter is summed up as "Because Oogway said so". From Tai Lung's perspective, Shifu abandoned him without a second thought because Oogway said he was a failure for not being the Dragon Warrior.
Yeah, Shifu should have taken time to visit Tai Lung or contacted him. He should have apologised for seemingly denying him his dream to be the Dragon Warrior and explained that it was not his choice to make and should have clarified that. Tai Lung was not only imprisoned, he literally could not move enough to take a proper breath for 20 years. I would be fuming in his situation too.

Even Shen is relatable. If you think about it,he didn't get rid of the pandas to secure his power. He heard a warrior of black and white would defeat him. He killed the pandas...because he feared the prophecy meant oneday one would kill him. In the end,he was defeated by a warrior of black and white...himself. Shen did walk down a dark path...the path of self destruction. In the end he accepted the very death he had been fearing...likely realizing he had caused it.

So in both cases did Tail Lung dominant Shifu, both the mental and physical battle. Simply put, that's why both Oogway and Shifu thought only the dragon warrior could defeat him. The only reason Shifu stayed behind was to stall and buy time well everyone left because they initially banked on Po getting some sort of mystical power up from the dragon scroll.

Tai Lung wanted the Dragon Scroll because he was raised to believe that and it became his identity and sense of self. Had he been taught Kung Fu just for the joy of it and been given more of a sense of self than just the Dragon Scroll, he could have been different. His eyes softened when Shifu apologised. But Tai Lung had been imprisoned for 20 years and had 20 years where he couldn't even breathe properly and was stewing in his failures. He had light within, shown after Shifu apologised but all that time isolated in prison fed too deeply into his dark side.

I think master crock would go down quite easily, master ocs will put up more of a fight but will also be defeated, Lord shen would put up a good fight but tai lung is still more powerful, non of them would defeat tai lung because neither of them have shown any feats compared to him.

Being a Dragon Warrior means being not so much physically strong as being kind, bright and humane. Po was just like that, so he turned out to be worthy. Compared to what it means for women to be a lady, in order to be a lady, a woman must be not so much externally beautiful as internally beautiful. It's the same here. In order to be a Dragon Warrior, you need not so much physical strength as bright and good qualities.

But Shifu raised him to believe he was destined for greatness, that he was meant to be The Dragon Warrior since childhood and it became Tai Lungs identity. Had he simply been taught Kung Fu without that, maybe Tai Lung would have taken a different path.

TELL ME!!" that he was unhappy, but now I understand , it is not so. His words are a sign of one of the most terrible sins in the world - pride. Because pride is, in particular, egoism, impatience of reproaches and a thirst for praise. And for Tai Lung, everyone around is to blame, but not himself, like "everyone is bad, but I'm good." He was already quite insolent to blame anyone, but not himself. I am very annoyed by his refusal to recognize the primacy of others, even after Po seriously injured Tai Lung. He got what he deserved from the panda, and Po said to him "I'm not a big fat panda. I'm THE BIG FAT PANDA", and this expression speaks for itself. Tai Lung will know next time how not to recognize the primacy of others. And he will not fill the hole in his soul with anything, where at least something humane and bright should be
@@user-gd8ge1gq7d He was still more humane than Shen and Kai. Shen sought to murder innocent pandas and his own kind if they didn't obey him. Kai wanted to take everyone's chi. Tai Lung wanted the Dragon Scroll because he was raised to believe that and it became his identity and sense of self. Had he been taught Kung Fu just for the joy of it and been given more of a sense of self than just the Dragon Scroll, he could have been different. His eyes softened when Shifu apologised. But Tai Lung had been imprisoned for 20 years and had 20 years where he couldn't even breathe properly and was stewing in his failures. He had light within, shown after Shifu apologised but all that time isolated in prison fed too deeply into his dark side.

lord shen vs tai lung or master croc vs tai lung or storming ox vs tai lung. Who among them would kill tai lung without weapons only in with his skills and why?
I think master crock would go down quite easily, master ocs will put up more of a fight but will also be defeated, Lord shen would put up a good fight but tai lung is still more powerful, non of them would defeat tai lung because neither of them have shown any feats compared to him.
None of them would beat Tai Lung, Tai Lung can adapt to his surroundings easily
