This scene is masterful both choreography-wise and story wise. The Furious Five are masters of Kung Fu known across China for utilizing their amazing and innovative abilities to defeat seemingly insurmountable challenges (they literally created their own styles of Kung Fu). They are not mascots with big egos and empty skills. They are masters with years of practice and teamwork under their belts, and Tai Lung still wiped the floor with them within 5 minutes of battle. He identified their weaknesses (Tigress’s weak balance, Viper’s inability to fight once seized due to having no limbs, Crane’s delegated role as air assist rather than a hand-to-hand combatant, etc.) and easily beat them individually. Even when they ganged up on him as a team and temporarily incapacitated him, he literally shot back up at an near-incomprehensible speed with hardly a scratch on him and chi-blocked them so hard they were full-body paralyzed. This scene really did an excellent job of building up Tai Lung as a threat to Po and the Valley as whole, because if Five masters of Kung Fu trained by the greatest teacher in all of China couldn’t beat him, what chance does our hero have?

0:53 I find it quite ironic that the very line Crane used earlier in the film to mock Po is thrown right back into his face when Tai Ling uses it to insult the Five.
When I first saw the movie & Tigress claimed that she was the Dragon Warrior I thought, “Wait, no your not why are you lying?!” Then years later I realized, “Wait, she was covering for Po.” And I just thought that was precious 🥺
I'd believe it's a bit of both? I mean, if it's not, might just make it my headcanon. While she was upset that Po was chosen as Dragon Warrior over her, it is implied this is due to her wanting Shifu's approval rather than the actual title. And this is purely speculation. But in the scene where Shifu stopped Po from running away, Po stated his reasons why he didn't quit and revealed his insecurities, quote; "But it could never hurt more than it did every day of my life just being me." Tigress was spying on them and presumably heard their entire conversation. Judging by her facial expression, she might have started to feel bad about how she previously treated Po. And might have even sympathized with him, as she was also ostracized and was ashamed of herself as a child. So at this point I think she did start to care for him and tried to cover for him.
I like every fight in this series of films. Every character has a psychology, an angle, an approach. Tai Lung for example, while able to cut through this group of serious, no nonsense, synchronised heroes like butter, is ill prepared for Po, because he brings his hubris, his born to rule mentality and baggage, his smoking hatred for having come so far to be denied so flippantly.. Po meanwhile is adapting to every situation with his charge- the scroll, and finding the light in every place he's knocked into while being imbued with the scroll's properties.. he gets thrown at one point into a pair of stilts and metal dishes, so he turns them into weapons and tools to hide the scroll and further frustrate Tai at his leisure.. lands on a roof, just kicks himself up along it and in turn, the tiles become weapons that hit Tai.. he gets hit on the head with a full bowl of noodles- he just eats it up and keeps "fighting". He is basically just reacting, letting Tai Lung tire himself. You basically see why Tai can't win. He isn't at peace with himself and can't fight evenly with someone who is selfless and at peace with every situation and enjoys everything life has to offer. Tai becomes predictable in his pursuit of the scroll, where he ends up chasing Po and if anything, makes him more predictable than ever before, because he's more single minded- it puts him in the direct path of Po, who keeps trying to find his feet and is causing a ruckus. Tai with his discipline, his usually sharp senses, can't see enough to avoid simple loose objects flying at him even by accident. He arguably only ends up hurting himself with his destructive behaviour and inner conflict.
Is there some fic exploring the possibility of Tai Lung not going evil ? Or of him escaping earlier and finding baby Po first ? I would love to see such timelines. Please.
That's because in the beginning of the movie when the furious five failed to beat Shifu he said to Monkey to use more speed, so he listened to him and worked on his speed, but Tai Lung is a smart fighter and took him down first to beat the other four after him a little more easily!
It's cool how crane tied up tai lung and the way tai lung was screaming was funny also it was cool how mantis was able to grab on the 2 ropes when monkey attacked and the last cool part was the first part when the furious 5 was going to face tai lung
Tai Lung:I know you’re not the Dragon Warrior none of you! I heard how he fell out of the sky on a ball of fire that he’s a warrior unlike anything the world has ever seen Monkey:Po? Tai Lung:so that is his name Po finally a worthy opponent our battle will be legendary!
I guess Tai was able to escape getting splatted against the mountain either because A: he’s one tough bastard, or B: he cut the ropes fast enough with his own claws to escape and whiplash himself across the broken bridge. Either way that’s badass.
Tai Lung should have disabled Mantis first with his nerve strike. The reason is because Mantis is the smallest target and therefore the hardest to land the nerve strike on. Now that he knows what's coming, he can evade it. If Tai Lung had dealt with him before the others, the only other who might have managed to evade him was Viper due to her flexibility.
Tai lung is really strongest fighter but he loses to po due to his powerful punch against po's nerve is not perfect due to layer of fat prevents it and finally tai lung is sent to spirit realm forever.
I'm always in awe at any story that conveys that "there are levels to this" in such a masterful manner: Tai Lung was imprisoned for 20 years and, the moment he breaks free, he busts out of prison defeating 1000 guards (who had a very quick and effective reaction btw!). Then on this spectacular fight against China's most exalted kung fu masters, The Furious Five, he actually has to lower his level to match them or there wouldn't even be a spectacle. He ends the fight as soon as he stops playing around. That same Tai Lung is 1HKO'ed by Oogway. Really, let THAT sink in.
That's why I must ask, is there some fic exploring the possibility of Tai Lung not going evil ? Or of him escaping earlier and finding baby Po first ? I would love to see such timelines. Please.
When has she 'bragged' that she's one? She only says it here in hope to intimidate tai lung, and then accepts po as dragon warrior by the end of the first film when he's proven himself. And tigress never actually wanted that scroll, she was more concerned with making shifu proud and not disappointing him
Shifu would beat her easily. He didn't have the same level of attachment to her as he did to Tai Lung and other members of the furious five probably wouldn't be on board
You should do the Walking Zombie 2 bosses with healthbars for who play as is called the chosen one just because the narrator never knows what you name him.
Keep in mind that all of this was to drive the point home how dangerous and badass Tai Lung was. He escaped Chorh Gom Prison, a prison built SPECIFICALLY TO HOLD HIM, and now he's proving too much for the Furious Five to handle. Let's be honest. We all knew this was going to happen.
Which is why I have to ask. Is there some fic exploring the possibility of Tai Lung not going evil ? Or of him escaping earlier and finding baby Po first ? I would love to see such timelines. Please.
I’ve always wondered, because Crane catches Tigress later on in the fight, why at 0:40 she doesn’t just have the Five let go of the bridge. Crane can simply catch her and not Tai Lung.
0:53 I swear there was one comment who pointed this out, but I can't find it (Maybe it was in another video), but from the description he gives here and his disbelief when he sees Po, there's a goos chance that Tai Lung legitimately thought Po was a dragon with the whole "He fell out of the sky in a ball of fire" and "Hes a warrior, unlike anything the world has ever seen", just for him to later be completely confused about him simply being a panda, and probs wondering what people were talking about him falling from the sky like a flaming meteor
They did, but he was already moving so fast to the other side that Tigress didn't have any time to do anything but kick him away and that's how they ended up in the situation they were in. Tigress' only choice was to stand off against him as they balanced on the rope, neither could do anything at that point. If she ran, Tai Lung would be right behind her. There was no way she could make it back before he reached the other side. The only choice at that point was to keep him stalemated on the broken bridge until they could incapacitate him enough to separate themselves from him. Basically, it's the way it played out. Tai Lung just has the hidden ability to fling himself off a rope, however.
I never understood why crane (the bird) just didn’t sneak up behind him while he was talking to tigress at the beginning and pick him up and just throw him off
do you really honestly think a kung fu master like Tai Lung would get beaten easily by that? even if crane manages to sneak behind him, the moment crane touches Tai Lung, the latter's ferocity, quick thinking and skills could easily find a way to stop crane. they really just were no match to him.
@@Сайтамен at the end of part 4 of the KFP, we were shown that Tai Lung is 2 times taller than a Panda. Maybe he will have more weight? But still, the Crane would not have lifted Tai Lung, the snow leopard is too dangerous for such manipulations

0:53 I find it quite ironic that the very line Crane used earlier in the film to mock Po is thrown right back into his face when Tai Ling uses it to insult the Five.
Some assunptions here, but I think Shifu didn't teach the Furious Five that nerve attack Tai Lung did on the Five, fearing they might turn evil
@mila2394Oogway:Are you serious right now bro😐?
3:10: The deadly nerve.
When I first saw the movie & Tigress claimed that she was the Dragon Warrior I thought, “Wait, no your not why are you lying?!” Then years later I realized, “Wait, she was covering for Po.” And I just thought that was precious 🥺
She wasn't covering for po, at the time she had No respect or care for him. She genuinely believed she should have been the chosen one
But in the sequels, she started to respect him
I'd believe it's a bit of both?
So at this point I think she did start to care for him and tried to cover for him.
she wasn't covering for Po. She asked him "How do you know you're not looking at her?" meaning she asked Tai Lung how did he know she wasn't one.
@@mikeywilliams4136 that's true. Earlier in the 🎦, she called him a big, fat, 🐼.
2:05 I use to thought that scream was from Tai Lung but it’s actually from Monkey LOL
I thought it was from viper lmao
Please.
OUR BATTLE WILL BE LEGENDARY
Love how he took out monkey knowing he was probably the fastest.
That's because in the beginning of the movie when the furious five failed to beat Shifu he said to Monkey to use more speed,
so he listened to him and worked on his speed, but Tai Lung is a smart fighter and took him down first to beat the other four after him a little more easily!
3:07
Tai Lung: Shifu taught you well. But he didn't taught everything.
Pov: you're here because all the other clips have comments disabled
That's right
0:18 I sense tension between these two.
It's cool how crane tied up tai lung and the way tai lung was screaming was funny also it was cool how mantis was able to grab on the 2 ropes when monkey attacked and the last cool part was the first part when the furious 5 was going to face tai lung
0:42
Tai Lung: Where's the Dragon Warrior?
Tigress: How do you know you're not looking at her!
Tai Lung: Hahahaha, you think i'm a fool?.
Tai Lung:I know you’re not the Dragon Warrior none of you! I heard how he fell out of the sky on a ball of fire that he’s a warrior unlike anything the world has ever seen
Monkey:Po?
Tai Lung:so that is his name Po finally a worthy opponent our battle will be legendary!
I guess Tai was able to escape getting splatted against the mountain either because A: he’s one tough bastard, or B: he cut the ropes fast enough with his own claws to escape and whiplash himself across the broken bridge. Either way that’s badass.
There’s one thing I don’t understand he didn’t even try to fight them he just wanted to get past the fight po
Maybe he wanted to save his energy to fight Po. It's confirmed that he only kept them alive to deliver a message when he could've easily killed them.
Maybe he wanted to see how Shifu’s training has been so that way he’ll know what to expect.
1:07 When you're in battle with the professional player online in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
This is what a fight is like between Thanos and the Avengers
OUR BATTLE WILL BE LEGENDARY!!! 🗣️‼️‼️
Finally a worthy opponent our battle will be legendary
Who else thinks it's a little odd how Tai Lung makes real tiger sounds while Tigress got Jaguar sounds?
I don’t think Tai Lung knows he’s fighting his sister in this scene
Adoptive Sister.
Or even attempt to flirt her. When he looks relaxed on that bridge.
Tai lung is really strongest fighter but he loses to po due to his powerful punch against po's nerve is not perfect due to layer of fat prevents it and finally tai lung is sent to spirit realm forever.
But you know he cant find the nerves due to his acupuncture
@@yugiohgames104 yeah
Forever no hehe
Plot armor
Please.
imagine if tigress also tried to take the dragon scroll by force (considering that she's always bragging that she deserves to be the dragon warrior)
she wouldnt even come close
Couldn't, need a little more skill, and even if she did, she has no evil
When has she 'bragged' that she's one? She only says it here in hope to intimidate tai lung, and then accepts po as dragon warrior by the end of the first film when he's proven himself. And tigress never actually wanted that scroll, she was more concerned with making shifu proud and not disappointing him
Shifu would beat her easily. He didn't have the same level of attachment to her as he did to Tai Lung and other members of the furious five probably wouldn't be on board
Why did they always fight the main villain without po like i get it in this because he wasnt really ready but in the 2nd and 3rd they nearly died
1:10 our bridge battle will be legendary! 😡😡
0:47 3:07
My favorite lines
Seeing tigress face her brother tai lung felt like Mulan versus Shan yu.
Tai Lung is my favorite antagonist in kung fu panda❤😊
You should do the Walking Zombie 2 bosses with healthbars for who play as is called the chosen one just because the narrator never knows what you name him.
I don't do video game scenes because they are not popular on my channel.
You did spider man miles morales that’s a video game.
Yeah, and it got less views than my other videos so that's why I don't prefer doing scenes from video games anymore
😢😔that’s a shame I respect that though, Maybe you could also do Star Wars movies Lightsaber duels and other kind of fights with healthbars.
@@CaseyAlhambra Are you able to do tv shows?
Happy belated birthday dude
Thank you! 😃
@@CaseyAlhambra 🥳🥳
Tai Lung: I am more Felyne than you,Tigress! Roaaaaar! 🐆,💪
Good job 👍
Keep in mind that all of this was to drive the point home how dangerous and badass Tai Lung was. He escaped Chorh Gom Prison, a prison built SPECIFICALLY TO HOLD HIM, and now he's proving too much for the Furious Five to handle.
Let's be honest. We all knew this was going to happen.
Which is why I have to ask. Is there some fic exploring the possibility of Tai Lung not going evil ? Or of him escaping earlier and finding baby Po first ?
I would love to see such timelines. Please.
Shifu's most underprepared students vs his greatest student and failure
I’ve always wondered, because Crane catches Tigress later on in the fight, why at 0:40 she doesn’t just have the Five let go of the bridge. Crane can simply catch her and not Tai Lung.
1:13 Roar
0:44 did Tigress only say she was the Dragon warrior to defend po or just because she was supposed to
Could be both
0:53 I swear there was one comment who pointed this out, but I can't find it (Maybe it was in another video), but from the description he gives here and his disbelief when he sees Po, there's a goos chance that Tai Lung legitimately thought Po was a dragon with the whole "He fell out of the sky in a ball of fire" and "Hes a warrior, unlike anything the world has ever seen", just for him to later be completely confused about him simply being a panda, and probs wondering what people were talking about him falling from the sky like a flaming meteor
Yknow... if theyd just cut the ropes without waiting they coulda stopped him
Knowing Tai king he probably would’ve done the same thing he did when they actually cut it
@@cantthinkofanormalname-4831 he would've also survived it probably
@@stormcutter59 The Crane could just catch her in mid air.
@mila2394 he lifted Po
@@Сайтамен at the end of part 4 of the KFP, we were shown that Tai Lung is 2 times taller than a Panda. Maybe he will have more weight? But still, the Crane would not have lifted Tai Lung, the snow leopard is too dangerous for such manipulations
I like 👍 how tai lung give a lesson to them
I know I'm late but happy birthday 🎂
I first fought ti lung had a deeper voice and was more terryfying
His raspy voice is better.
Tai Lung was a great villain. Po and the 5 were basically just obstacles to him, his personal beef was with Shifu, and for good reason (though he still hurt people who didn't deserve it).
I love when Tong is like 0:46
1:59 Why didn't Viper lose some help she was literally being choked by Tai Lung
Damn the got their asses kicked big time
Tai Lung is the real Dragon warrior. Fit, Strong, Composed, Dignified. Magnificent.
This is inaccurate the HP Bar
Kind of sucks how Mantis never got to fight Tai Lung
Mantis look pissed of
Я всегда был в недоумении, как он после такого выбрался из завязанной верёвки и незаметно взмахом полетел в небо и упал на сторону пятёрки
If you had to pick a kung fu style out of the furious five which one would it be?
3:10 Where is Mantis after Tai Lung did the nerve strike on Monkey?
POV you and the bois kill a tryhard(2:35)Tryhard uses revive. you and the bois at 3:07
Awesome tai lung, you are good fighter
I watch this fight just for mantis. "
Tai lung is a legend
You got Monkey wrong, he was definelly a goner
Hold up that technique Tai Lung used on them is suppose to be a 1 hit kill since they all end up paralyzed them those chip bars doesn't aren't accurate. But overall this was a good edit.
Honestly, the should have let him fall to his death but that's not how the story goes sooo, uh yeah
Po in spanish:Po
