Well done Michel for restoring your fabulous shaper. The lead screw and nut are certainly performing very well. You must be justifiably pleased. 👏👏👍😀 “It works” 😮
Great result on the lead screw. It is odd that the rest of your machine seems to be in good condition but the old lead screw was so worn. Nice to see you still using the shaper.
G'day Rusty. Another great restoration video, everything except the Genie approach worked out fine, & went together very smoothly. You could probably do things on the shaper in your asleep 😅😊😊. Well done, catch you on Your next venture
A job very well done Michel. I'm sure will improve the accuracy of the shaper. I tried clicking my fingers 🤌 in the workshop today, but it didn't work for me also. I think it never does. Thanks for the stickers Michel, they arrived safe and sound. Will be in my video tomorrow. Cheers Nobby
Hi Michel, you never fail to make me laugh, mind you, it might have been a one off and you might have disappeared for ever that really would be "a problem"😅😅 Great result, fantastic finish. Well done. Have a great weekend!!
Thanks for yet another entertaining Rusty video. No Tuber comes close to Your class. Good that the problem with the not working snap-the-finger-method is solved!
@@Stefan_Boerjesson He mentioned a while ago that his FIL passed away, and he has to look after the kids a lot more now. It's a shame that he only does a video or 2 per year now, and the "maker secret santa" thing at Christmas. I hope he comes back to the old schedule at some point
@@gorak9000 Thanksa lot! Bells start buzzing here. When somebody steps back, "disppears", it takes me a long time to relize it. Being burned out has that effect on me.
Outstanding. i really need to do the nut and screw on my shaper, its real bad. maybe this summer. I did get my 5c collet chuck almost done. Never ending story. I am sure if you set up a travel dial on both axis you could make those stairs exact on that machine, now that its accurate again.
Perfect, nice result 👍 The finger-snapping didn't work the first 2 times because you weren't holding your mouth right 😁 I really hate those weeks that only have 7 days
Michel, apparently more magic study is required before you try the finger snap thing again! However despite that little setback, everything looks great! well done sir.
Think the magic needs more practice!,! BUT your cutting tool as POTENTIAL... shapeing cutting and threading all at the same time thats one of your best tools yet 😂😂😂😂😂 great job!!!
Good to see the shaper running again Michel. Did you work out why the piece of steel was not square? Is that the test that you did in the end with the steps?
Hey up, good rebuild Michel. Tell me when you are running up to stop like on those small 2mm step how do you judge when to stop the machine? Do you use the dial, or set a physical stop on the table or by eye? This is something I encounted making tee nuts, i watched to see when the cutting oil was wiped from the corner. Thankyou
Just a thought,,,,, Knowing wrong with your "Snapping", maybe next time try using "This Old Tony's" Karate Chop,,,Hehe! Great results & Sammie also is knowing you "Got It Done - 7 day's No Problem! Well it's TGIF and up early to go tool hunting and video a PT 2 dw south of me. Cheers, Bear.
Love the video as usual, but don't get on the "generic overused music that every other channel on youtube has completely worn out already" bandwagon - I've heard that fing song so many times that it's downright annoying already.

Pleased indeed.
Nice job Michel. Works great.
Thanks Randy.
Good result Rusty, well done. 👍👍
Thanks Jon.
Nicely done! That finish with the shear tool is beautiful with the smaller steps.
Yes, it works really well.
Another entertaining Saturday morning Good onya
Thanks.
Great result on the lead screw. It is odd that the rest of your machine seems to be in good condition but the old lead screw was so worn. Nice to see you still using the shaper.
It's indeed a bit strange.
Nice job Michel. And not a single part left over after the re-build.
Lol. Thanks.
Nice wrap up Rusty, Those test cuts look great 👍👍
Thanks Dean.
Thanks for pushing out a new video every single week. I can't imagine the amount of work that takes.
But it's fun to do.
I like the cooling fins on the cutter.
🙂
And it works :)
Glad you were able to get it done. Thanks for the videos.
Well, me too.
It’s nice when you get something like that fixed & working properly very satisfying. Thanks
Indeed, it is.

Looks smart. Interesting detail on the thread form. Cheers
Thanks Paul.
I wish I could grind shaper tools like you do. Nice repair.
You can. Just go for it.

Can’t argue with success
Thanks.
Nicely done. I can't wrap my brain around what went wrong last week though. I will rewatch it once my brain has enough caffeine.
Go for it.

Maybe a "snap back" is needed? Will have to wait and see....
I'm back :)
