    Great result on the lead screw. It is odd that the rest of your machine seems to be in good condition but the old lead screw was so worn. Nice to see you still using the shaper.

    G'day Rusty. Another great restoration video, everything except the Genie approach worked out fine, & went together very smoothly. You could probably do things on the shaper in your asleep 😅😊😊.

    A job very well done Michel. I'm sure will improve the accuracy of the shaper. I tried clicking my fingers 🤌 in the workshop today, but it didn't work for me also. I think it never does. Thanks for the stickers Michel, they arrived safe and sound. Will be in my video tomorrow. Cheers Nobby

      @@Stefan_Boerjesson He mentioned a while ago that his FIL passed away, and he has to look after the kids a lot more now. It's a shame that he only does a video or 2 per year now, and the "maker secret santa" thing at Christmas. I hope he comes back to the old schedule at some point

    Outstanding. i really need to do the nut and screw on my shaper, its real bad. maybe this summer. I did get my 5c collet chuck almost done. Never ending story. I am sure if you set up a travel dial on both axis you could make those stairs exact on that machine, now that its accurate again.

    Good to see the shaper running again Michel. Did you work out why the piece of steel was not square? Is that the test that you did in the end with the steps?

    Hey up, good rebuild Michel. Tell me when you are running up to stop like on those small 2mm step how do you judge when to stop the machine? Do you use the dial, or set a physical stop on the table or by eye? This is something I encounted making tee nuts, i watched to see when the cutting oil was wiped from the corner. Thankyou

      I made the stairs by eye and using the dial. No hard stop.
