Hi Eric, thx otra vez for great lessons, mil gracias. There was a time that i practised 5x per day and each time for 15 minutes max. I noticed each day the progress but at the same time i noticed something else. For an unexplicalble reason during each next day exercise (i was only practising one rhythm) my hand(s) produced a new random hit on the conga skin which i didn't anticipate (accidentally?). Suprisingly the new move or hit did sound right and i was adding new combinations or hits to my basic rhythm exercise as each day passed by. So, getting to the point: those daily 10 minutes of exercise jou advice do work for me. I even believe that by doing so you're feeding your brains on one day, while during your sleep your brains processes the stuff you exercised before, and the next day your brains will deliver new moves and reward your previous input. I hope the above makes sense. Ciao!
Thanks for the great videos. I've got a basic rubberwood set, it's a conga and a quinto. I'm wondering if you would suggest playing the Quinto as the central drum in order to get the tonal patterns or finding a tumba to add in?
Eric, On these workout videos, you show them with a pause between repetitions. When you do them fast, are you keeping that slight pause, or is the pause removed, so it's one continuous stream? Thank you for all you do!
Eric,
When you show basic patterns for the beginner and or the veterans I believe it helps. Me as a beginner your helping me tremendously. Thanks

Some what... still getting use to the traditional patterns

The pause is removed... I pause just to show you each section individually.. but you want to be able to do it as a continuous stream.
Hi maestro !
A chance you break down some stuff from the late great Jerry Gonzalez one day ? RIP. He Will be missed.
I will definitely be showing something in November on him!
