I LOVE the fact that you always mention substitutes for less common ingredients, and always look for ways to make cooking more approachable. Such a breath of fresh air, compared to certain other food youtubers. There's no reason to make cooking harder than it needs to be, and gatekeeping is only going to discourage people from ever trying. That's why this is probably my favourite channel to go to for recipes for almost all Asian food.

Until I explained to them it was tofu. They ate second helpings they loved it so much!

Aaron almost always mentions substitutes - it's one of my favourite things about this channel, to be honest! Certain other cooking youtubers drive me utterly and completely nuts with their "my way is the right way and everything else is HORRIBLE" mentality (I won't mention names, but there are a couple of specific ones I have in mind). There's zero reason to gatekeep cooking, of all things - and Aaron is doing a wonderful job of making it MORE approachable, rather than less so.

@@belguteisama The restaurant near me has it. They also have a house Mongolian that has all meats in it. I guess it depends on the restaurant.

Brilliant as always - love the use of ground beef because food is sooo expensive now and people need options they can afford. Now I'm hungry 🤣
