I've seen woodworking videos before and they're always boring and stupid.... however I fucking love these videos! there's just something about them that I can't get enough of.. does anyone else get a nice feeling of satisfaction watching these?
Andy I have seen many works before even had someone come in who was amazing that worked with his hands like you and definitely is very awesome. I like that you put Your craft into rather just use machines and to me that absolutely Beautiful.Who ever sent your channel to me I can't Thank enough.Very much enjoyed Deb.👍
After the handle was put into the head then cut off I'm going why did he do that. Then as you went to place it onto the lathe, it all made sense. You didn't want the handle hole to get chewed up while turning the head. Great project Andy. Thanks for sharing...
A lot of your tools are the same make as my grandfather's. Brings back so many good memories of watching and learning the basics from him and my father. Really enjoy your work.
Its so wierd that I love these videos. We used to do the same thing in 6th or 7th grade (working with wood, steel and stuff..). But for me, that class was boring. And I was watching your videos at that time! And I loved them! (Still do) Am I the only one?
Andy I really enjoy your videos. I would love to spend a day in your shop learning from you. I’m a disabled veteran and have turned to woodworking as a way to clear my head and feel like I’m completing projects.
Just want to say I came from Matt from Demolition Ranch - Stayed for the artisan approach to wood working. I love the attention to details - chamfering the edges on the wedged portion. I enjoy the filmstyle - I actually kept blinking when the chisel broke through the mallet head (Felt like dust flying into my eyes). Keep it up, i really enjoy watching.
so I saw your cameo on either vet ranch, demo ranch or off the ranch. can't remember. I'm hooked on all three of those channels and now yours. thanks. I'll just add another channel to my subscriptions. lol. great work and so relaxing to watch.
Absolutely in love with his film style. These videos are actually really great and super satisfying to watch. I don't know why but it's like addicting and I love wood work anyways. Keep making videos man you're pretty cool.
French4Assassin, the egg. you never said it had to be a chicken egg, and dinosaurs had eggs long before chickens. the real question is, which came first, ketchup or mustard? if you could find the answer that would be AWESOME.
bro i love your videos and i watched the spoon video before it, "blew up" with views, ur content is awesome and i hope u can reach ur youtube goals soon
I enjoy wood working, but I can't stand most of the RUclips videos about it because they all talk way to much. But I love these because he just shows you. It's nice
I know work like this takes time so a video every day or two isn't possible with editing and all that. Still wish uploads were more frequent though, just really like this chanel. Looking forward to the next video!
This inspired me to go make my own mallet. I dont have a lathe so it will not be round. I have maple and oak in my yard so I guess that's what I'm using. Maple for the head and oak for the handle.

I like your videos because 1. You are very good at what you do. 2. You don't talk. You get right to it and don't take away from the project.

You don't have to fill the hole. It is safe enough to turn with the hole in it. I didn't believe it either but I've done it a lot.
orbodman but what if the chisel got caught in the hole?
Because the wood turning
I like how he doesn't talk it keeps the video satisfying unlike other youtubers who talks after making every pieces of something
A lot of your tools are the same make as my grandfather's. Brings back so many good memories of watching and learning the basics from him and my father. Really enjoy your work.
I like the fact where he doesn't talk every 5 seconds or put on any music while he works its just him and sounds of the things he is making
i like the cleanliness of your shop when you first start off
Seeing him chisel the wood away is so satisfying to watch. I have no idea why but it just is.
Great video. Had interesting shots, no unnecessary music, a skillful craftsmen, and a nice mood. All-around good video.
He's really good at getting the perfect camera angle
you made great use of different angles to enhance the video of you carving the hole into the mallet - thank you!

Anything other than what this man does should not be considered woodworking

Very nice work! It's so good to see how you deal with the wood.
never really thought i would be amazed at watching things be created out of a block of wood. I was extremely wrong!
That closeup with the chisel at the end. So good. So, so good.
Absolutely in love with his film style. These videos are actually really great and super satisfying to watch. I don't know why but it's like addicting and I love wood work anyways. Keep making videos man you're pretty cool.
Love the close-up of chamfering the edge of the handle's head. It really conveys how the small details make a big difference. Nice build.
Nice Mallet Andy. Now I want to get a lathe!

This is so satisfying to watch
A pro tip. In making a mallet it helps being a pro. Like a decade in furniture making for example.
;D
Nicely Done Andy!
I love your channel and I think you do amazing work
Why is this so satisfying
you used a wooden mallet to assist in making a wooden mallet. but how did you make the first mallet in the first place??? hmm?
what came first? the chicken? or the egg?
It's The Chicken.
French4Assassin, the egg. you never said it had to be a chicken egg, and dinosaurs had eggs long before chickens. the real question is, which came first, ketchup or mustard? if you could find the answer that would be AWESOME.
Dammit. XD
shut up
it's so satisfying to watch!
