You can, Im 66 and have learned over the years all my lief - I collect and use hand tools - - you are lucky to live in utube age - which is like having a master craftsman in you house - buy some 2 hand - hand tools - Stanley planes and saws and - English chisels from eBay - make a mallet as first project - make a bench as second project - use pallet scrap timber - you need just a very small space - Japanese saws are good but work backwards - go for it young person - you'll be glad you did as you got the bug.
You are in my opinion are a true wood orker, a true craftsman. I could never saw a board straight, but with all the modern toys, gadgets and jogs, even I can have some success in woodworking. You, my friend, are the real craftsman and what an experience to watch you, Thank you,
Your precision and expertise is so great to watch! I was never into woodwork but after watching ALL of your videos, it makes me want to go in my front yard, cut down a tree and start making sh*t! Appreciate an organized professional like yourself. Good work man!
Andy, great video as always. I love the fact that you let your work speak for itself. You don't need words to describe what your doing. The sounds of the tools on the wood are very Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) in nature. Calming in nature. Keep up the fine work!!!!!
My whole life I've been taught to put the round peg through the round hole and the square peg in the square hole but this badass literally Rams the square peg through the round hole
This t.co/SGIXIPXR0z is an amazing book about woodworking. I`m a graduate of a one-year carpentry course from a local tech college. Of all books I`ve read during my study about carpentry, I think this is the finest book I`ve read so far. It explains everything regarding woodworking as well as complements it with helpful photos.?
When they say perfect your craft that's exactly what you do! I mean wow your absolutely amazing with your skills in the videos you have on your channel I'm absolutely amazed at what you can do! I wish I had skill such as you!
I'd just like to say your videos are spectacular, you really capture the essence of what it's like to woodwork and your videos are quite inspiring. I am nowhere near the professional woodworker you are as it is just a hobby I developed when I was 16 but, watching videos makes me want to attain the level of fine woodworking skill you posses. keep up the great work!
I watch your videos for a lot of reasons. Like ishitani, they are remarkable for your skills on display and the quietude of your film style. However, I'd really like to know more about the projects we see snippets of in the background! Thanks for sharing your skills with all of us. Happy new year!
Lovr your vids, im from texas and i know you live sonewhere in texas. I haven't been out of the city in a long time and when i see your outdoor surroundings (only through your window in this vid) i miss the texas hill country i used to peruse night and day as a boy scout and on trips with my family. You bring a chill, relaxed atmosphere to your vids and the countryside helps set the mood!
Using only hand-tools to create something in this day and age. Is a slap to the face to all the craftsmen that came before us that paved the way with their blood and sweat so we didn't have to go through what they did... People and tools evolve together.
fantastic! i think it's great you use hand tools also. it's what i'm using now to really learn the craft. power tools are great, but hand tools are soothing for the soul!
I want to make a bread board table, I never considered what good practice it would be to make a few cutting boards first. I do enjoy that reclaimed lumber you chose for this build.
@@heyimamaker pungent. Almost like spanish cedar but stronger. You feel it on your tongue like you would with cedar. It is not a very good smell either.

If you could explain what you're doing as you do it and what tool you're using it would be fantastic. As someone who wants to get into wood working it would be nice to know those little things while I watch.
This is cool man. Hope I also have a shop like this. I made a floating bedframe with only cordless drill and sander as a power tool as my 1st project. Posted it in my channel.
Andy this was awesome. I loved the style and learned a lot even without narration. I don't think it needed it, the film spoke for itself. Thanks man! How's the bandsaw restoration going?
Excellent video, without music just the sound of the edge of the tools removed thin layers of wood. Many times there are interesting videos but with a very bad music ... I only say NETX ..... Greetings from Chile
Hey Andy, I don't know if you watch the channel Primitive Technology. He does wordless videos like you. He puts captions in his videos for what he does if you turn subtitles on. It would be cool if you wanted to try it too. Just an idea, I know you are pretty busy. I just think it could be cool.
I wish I could learn how to woodwork. This was probably the most therapeutic thing I’ve ever watched. Thanks

Bravo. Proper grafters chopping board. 👍
Liked and subscribed. I loved how there was no music, or talking. Just the sounds of the work being done. Very nicely done.

I know nothing about woodworking but that comment really made me laugh

Nice work. I am intrigued by your shooting board. I'd like to see something about that.
It’s a Paul Sellers design, you might find something about it on his RUclips channel
