How to apply glitter to gel polish | Sugared Effect

- Of all the ways to apply glitter to gel polish, this is my favorite. It works well with 3 of the sizes.
Superfine - Topcoated
Fine - Topcoated or Raw
Medium - Topcoated
The chunky and super chunky would work, but you would need to encapsulate that in something stronger and thicker than topcoat. I'll do a further video covering this if you like!

I’m just starting to get into gel so this is really helpful! How do you clean your brush after applying top coat over loose glitter so that you don’t contaminate your bottle of top coat with glitter? I was unsuccessful and have a piece of glitter here and there in my bottle now 😣
I try to just float the topcoat or basecoat on so that not much gets in the bristles, then I just wipe it off with a Lint free wipe. But sometimes I've been too aggressive with my brushing I have to swirl the brush in isopropyl alcohol to remove them. Then wipe with a Lint free wipe and let it air dry for a few minutes before putting it back into the bottle of gel. X

Thank you. The company that makes these glitters is no longer trading. They're not numbered per say, the just range from super fine, fine, medium, large etc

I got them from funky sugar glitter mixes on Facebook, but they're temporarily closed. I'm not sure where else has this exact one but look for sparkle supplies UK on Facebook xo

Amazon has a ton of cheap loose glitter kits, for less than 20$ I got 36 colors of fine (small pots)

Do u put top coat on the glitter after you done bc when i do the glitter turns kinda yellow
Yea, you can put topcoat over it. Some topcoats have a UV protectant in them and they give a yellow tinge. I don't know any off the top of my head that don't but if you Google "non yellowing topcoat" you'll find some options.

Yea, if you want it to be smooth you will need to add a few layers of topcoat. Usually will topcoat. Then file it and buff it to make it smooth before adding another layer of topcoat.

You need to wipe them with isopropyl alcohol. Xo

@@sabeeya2956 hi, if you use a no wipe topcoat, there will be no sticky layer.
You do not need to wipe the sticky layer from the gel polish color layer. Just apply a topcoat and it will be fine.

@@elizabethkessler6664 it's not like a builder in a bottle, it's a thick rubbery topcoat. It's super shiny and I'm fairly certain it's no wipe as well.
R these eyeshadow glitters or shimmery glitter?
They are cosmetic glitter. Designed for nails nut could be used on eyes for sure :)

@@rohailahmad4860 you can use eyeshadow on nails but not like this. For eyeshadow you want to apply it into the sticky layer leftover after curing the gel polish.

Until I remember the beast is the one that like the smooth finish with glitter not all of you. And that's not your sugared effect.
What is your problem? If you don't like me, don't watch my videos. I never claimed to own any of the things I do. I am simply showing people how I do them.
I think shes trying to say the one she likes best is the one with smooth glitter, that doesnt get all over you. That it looked different than the sugar effect that you had done but possibly similar.
I think what you want is "how to varnish glitter onto nails" :)
