Let's take a moment to realise that this performance is 30 years after their first hits in the UK: To Love Somebody, Massachusetts, 1941 NY mining disaster etc
Hearing this again gives me chills. I remember when it was released and it blew me away. Their vocals are so complementary to hers. They wrote the perfect song for her too. I’ve been a Bee Gees super fan since the late 60’s, basically my whole life. ❤️ Thanks for the great reaction. I can tell you really love them too.
Barry did 2 duets with Barbra Streisand which they performed live: Guilty and What Kind Of Fool, and a couple others 20 years later. He recently released an album of Country duets that went to #1 called Greenfields, incling WORDS with Dolly Parton.
I never clicked so fast on a video. This gives me chills every time. Glad you enjoyed this. BeeGees wrote this song specifically for her - they love her as fans and vice versa. Love them all. Please react to early Celine starting with Have a Heart, Nothing Broken But My Heart, If You Asked Me Too(Patti Labelle Cover), Only One Road. Vocals are out of this world.
Really liked your reaction. This is a beautiful song, sung so well. Celine is amazing, and of course, Bee Gees (hope to see more of them). "Nights on Broadway" would be a great start.
It pleases me when you do Celine Dion as you know I recommended her on patreon and you were not keen on the idea and I respected it and I'm still here. Out of the Trinity I think Celine Dion is the kindest, humblest and less complicated. She has a personality that not everyone gets but I like her gentleness I've never heard one bad thing about Celine Dion in the 30 years I have been a fan. There's no metal teeth, no puffy crazy plastic surgery, the tits aren't always out to the ceiling and there's no drugs. I truly believe she is as kind as she appears and now she has this horrible incurable disease and will never sing again but we're lucky to have these performances. This is a beautiful song from a great album and I hope we see more Celine Dion on your channel. I know you don't like the bombastic over the top power vocals but she does have songs like this. I would love to see you review Fly from the Oprah Winfrey show. Thank you again
Thanks! Yeah, I keep trying her every now and then and normally like what I hear. I don't plan to dig too deep into her career at the moment (which is why I wouldn't do her on Patreon - it's no disrespect to you or her, I just use Patreon for 3 or 4 specific artists, and don't have the time to do any additional artists over there). I'll keep checking her out on the channel though!
Another collaboration is Barry Gibb and Barbra Streisand live at a dinner party in her back yard. Another Celine solo is Calling You live ... must listens!
Would love for him to react to the 2 duets by Barbra & Barry. It was a dinner party & fundraiser for democratic candidates and charities she supports for preservation of the environmental, civil liberties & human rights.....with all proceeds from concert & album (One Voice) going to those causes.🎼
Excellent video. Your videos are great because they’re so obviously honest and have more effort in the listening behind them than simply asking for a hit on the “like” button. Keep up the good work. (Edit: I know you receive a lot of suggestions each time you post, so i am loathe add to that list lol. That said, as we head into the holidays there’s a song that might be a new one to you that you might add to the list. For decades, my family and friends have always called me the king of Christmas music lol and through countless covers of it, to me Christina’s version of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” (studio, not live) is THE definitive version. I have a feeling it’ll be worth your time too. An absolute perfect combination of the soft feel of a holiday night around a fireplace and a tree coupled with her exquisite power too. Regardless, thanks again and happy holidays to you)
Barry Gibb produced one of Barbra Streisand’s best selling albums in 1980, “Guilty” and Barry did backing vocals for many tracks. (Just in case you’re looking for an excuse to segue into Barbra’s stuff.) If you’re a Bee Gees fan, you probably know that after the ‘disco sucks’ backlash in the 70s they had a hard time charting with their own songs. Instead they hit big writing and producing songs for other artists. Barbra was the biggest example, but he also wrote and produced hits for Dionne Warwick, Diana Ross, Kenny Rogers/Dolly Parton
@@bridgethegapreactionsOn Barbra's 1980 "Guilty" album, Barbra and Barry sing together Guilty and What kind of fool (which they sung live at her One voice concert). 25 years later, Barry wrote another album for Barbra which is called "Guilty pleasures". They sing Come tomorrow and Above the law together on this album. On her 2021 "Release me 2" album which is a compilation of unreleased tracks, there's also a duet of her and Barry called "If only you were mine" that was written for her "Guilty pleasures" album but which was not kept in the final tracklist (well, actually it's more a featuring than a duet).
Strange how you struggle to connect with Celine Dion , as you do with other artists. I can’t quite connect with your channel until it happens properly and you stamp the same respect on her name, as everybody else’s you review
I totally understand your point of view. I'll say this: there is no disrespect from me towards Celine Dion. She's had a massive career, huge success, great collaborators, never heard a bad word about her personally. And her voice - it's as versatile and powerful as anyone else I cover on the channel, it's unique, she can sing many genres.... but your perception is correct- I do struggle to connect with her, though I keep trying with an open mind. In a way, it's unexplainable and is just a personal, emotional thing - something either hits you or it doesn't. I understand why people think she's amazing, but there are many more singers whose voices I prefer to listen to, whether they are technically as impressive or not. Different strokes for different folks?
you can't explain taste and preferences, they choose us rather than the opposite :) I am a massive fan of Celine's but I have no problem with someone not connecting with her as long as they respect her talent ;)
Celine has such a powerhouse voice, but she keeps it mostly light and gentle in keeping with the song.
My Celine always and forever
Let's take a moment to realise that this performance is 30
years after their first hits in the UK: To Love Somebody, Massachusetts, 1941 NY mining disaster etc
Her voice really blends in with the lads
She said she had to practice using a more “ breathy/ airy “ sound to match theirs
Soothing and angelic! Just beautiful!
🖤 love this song. I love how her voice almost blends with theirs. She sings a lot of it very softly. Its like shes the 4th member
This song is so beautiful! Celine’s vocals are amazing as always. But you add in The Bee Gees, perfection! Please react to Bee Gees “Too much Heaven”

Though credited to all three, this was actually written by Barry & Mo, in 3.5 minutes!🎶
Barry Gibb + Barbra Streisand Guilty+ What kind of fooö (live), bee Gees + Olivia Newton-John Face to face, Barry + M. Jackson All in your name!
4 amazing Voices ❤❤❤❤

Really liked your reaction. This is a beautiful song, sung so well. Celine is amazing, and of course, Bee Gees (hope to see more of them). "Nights on Broadway" would be a great start.
andy gibb man on fire
Celine can do no wrong. If you want a great upbeat song with awesome vocals, react to Flying on my own that she did live in Las Vegas 👌👌👌
Would love for you to do some Bee Gees reactions, as don't see any on your channel.🎼
Let's Talk About Love is the album that Celine showcased her vocal prowess with a lot of collaborations and covers. a must listen album. 10/10

Actually it was Barry & Mo who wrote it for her, in 3.5 minutes!🎶

How about Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers "Islands in the Stream" written by the Bee Gees! You'll love it!

Ooh good call, this could be a way of getting into some Streisand!
