Even on my brand new enthusiast gaming laptop with the best hardware possible atm, the demo (after patches) would have these odd bouts of slowdown INCLUDING the audio, and scenes like the final Ifrit fight with Phoenix would drop the auto res really low
@@DavidAlfredoGuisado I was able to play the last 3-4hrs of the game fine with the mod, but after starting a new game, it crashed constantly during cutscenes or loading checkpoints.
Definitely resigned to 1080p30 High on my R5 5600 + 3060ti. 60fps on FFXVI is way too unstable on my system. At least the built in 30fps lock seems to behave properly, as I can’t say the same for some other PC games where 30fps lock means poor frame pacing making it look like 20fps. Still loving the combat and tone of the story tho. Deathblows, Eikon fights, beautiful varied landscapes, it’s all gorgeous and polished. Definitely a love letter to every entry that preceded it. I’ve played many mainline FF games (FF7, FF10, FF12, FF13, FF14, FF15) but never quite finished any of them to the end of the story despite making it far. Judging by how much fun I’ve been having with 16, this might turn out to be the first entry that I reach the credits screen on. Excited to buy the DLCs as well.
keep VRS ON the only issue i had is that Clive or assets will not load in correctly. but with VRS OFF unskippable cutscenes make my monitor flicker. Maybe its the Nvidia firmware but dont see a reason to keep off for the WHOLE game
My PC Specs i5 12400F RTX 3060 Ti 32GB 3200 MT/s CL16 DDR4 RAM 1TB Samsung 980 Pro NVME M.2 SSD This is the performance I get running around Martha's Rest with these settings, 1440p, Dinamic Res Enabled, DLSS Upscaling Avg FPS: 56 1% Lows Avg: 32.4 0.1% Lows Avg: 24.6 Frametime Avg / GPU-Busy Avg = 17.9 ms / 14.8 ms = 21% deviation It seems this is quite CPU intensive. The performance is quite dissapointing. If anyone with similar specs could comment their performance for comparison, I'd be thankful.
Ff16 is a weird one. It has really high quality assets, particles, foilage, etc ... i mean there are some jaw-dropping areas, like the first forest, underneath drake's bresth with the mother crystal, etc ... However, the game also uses a really flat and 'realistic' art direction, which i think can make it look really boring in lots of areas
This game is a mess of a pc port. Targeting 30fps on a ps5 is something but requiring a 7800x3d and a 4090 to barely scrap by 60fps and thats with dlss is pathetic
You're being dishonest. 13600k/4070 ti and I can do 4k/60 using Alex's optimized setting with some of the settings set higher due to dlss being better than fsr.
All we need now is a PS5 Pro patch just like with FF7 Rebirth
Either Sony or Square thought the 720p combat and unstable frame rate was above the PS5 Pro’s enhancement 😂
yes
Why so many low res textures?

Unfortunately the unlock cutscene fps mod crashes the game, but aside from that... I think it's a decent port. Best of all, no stuttering issues.
i havent had any issues with the mod
not a single crash here, finished the game with the mod doing what it's supposed to do

Will the PS5 Pro support Dolby Vision on all compatible tvs?
preciate it
wait i just realised.... 1440p is dlss perf at 4k right? And to only get 75-80fps on a 4070 is crazy
@@yourlocalhuman3526
No, 1440p is DLSS Quality at 4K.
DLSS performance is 1080p at 4K.

A lot of these games optimized settings just say use the ps5 performance settings. Why not just play it on ps5

Are u guys not covering wilds beta?
This game has zero scaling. Settings don't really matter much.
I just won't play Final Fantasy 16 due to having to have DSR on. I NEVER like that setting in ANY game.
This game is a mess of a pc port. Targeting 30fps on a ps5 is something but requiring a 7800x3d and a 4090 to barely scrap by 60fps and thats with dlss is pathetic
That’s a bit of an exaggeration. or maybe you’re just dishonest

Nah that's not it at all.
It's just a demanding game unfortunately. Not the PC port specifically's issue, just the game's issue
Bro i think It doesnt have dlss 😂
Last good FF was VII. The rest all trash.
