Your garden still looks good. I love autumn and more reading is one reason. Good news about the plumbing, this will be an easier winter for you doing laundry inside, no carrying buckets down the steps... Enjoy the new sofa and woodstove. Glad you're feeling better!
So glad to hear you are getting back on track. I bet the juice taste great. You will really enjoy the wood stove. Have a great evening everyone! Enjoy your book Tessie.
I am happy to hear you are feeling better! I know how bad a house can get in no time with only 2 people living in it! But, doesn't it feel great once it's all back tidied up?! A clean house always makes me so happy! 😂❤❤❤

I think as we age it sometimes takes time to bounce back. Oh Tessie, Sandalwood is my favorite. Take care of yourself and looks like it's going well. And I live rading cookbooks like their novels. My mither-in-law always remarked that she had not seen anyone read them as much as I. Haha. Take care dear Tessie. God bless.

Good morning, Tessie. I'm glad you're feeling better and are able to get back to a normal routine. Things do pile up when we're under the weather; tackling one thing at a time is how we get back on track. The fall and winter are such cozy seasons; while I love spring and summer for gardening and being outside, I think I'm ready for the change of pace. Reading in the evenings is the perfect way to decompress and slow down at the end of the day! ☺
Good Morning Tessie, Sisters, Brothers, and Friends, Wish you all a wonderful blessed Monday filled with Gods Joy and Happiness :-) Remember to pray for one another and for all around the world :-) God Bless You ! Love you all :-) Keep Smiling be safe :-)
So happy you shared the powder recipe. I remember the 70's era really well and I enjoyed Patchouili oil very much 😊. I'm like Ken, can't wait to start up the wood burning stove!
You may want to let Kenny start the stove in case you need to open all the windows and doors if the shipping oils burn off and the paint cures. Just a thought.
You look just like fall in your orange and brown-so cute and attractive! Glad to hear you are feeling better. I love patchouli too, my favorite scent from the 70's! I didn't know you could use arrow root as powder, I have some. Thanks so much for the info. Take care and have a blessed evening. ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
I have a chronic health condition. It is so hard to keep up with cooking and cleaning. I pace myself and get just try to keep the basics done. At some point I may need to hire a cleaning woman.
I think we must be long lost sisters. I noticed a lot of people correcting your pronunciation of patchouli. Well, I used to say "shabby chick" and everyone would laugh at me - but not correct me! I literally decorated my entire house in "shabby chick" while everyone giggled. Good thing I didn't really care lol :) Blessings!

Cornstarch powder is good too! You can get cornstarch baby powder! PATCH-OO-LI....I love it, too!😊 Glad you are on the road to recovery! Take it slow and do the most important things and leave the rest for when you are feeling tip-top! Let Kenny start the woodstove to see if there are any problems before it is 10°and you find the problems then! I know you heated with wood at one time, but better to be safe than sorry! Feel better and God Bless!😊❤🙏
Im glad your doing good. Take time to rest. I was taught as a teen that rest was lazy. Not so. Busyness can be a bad thing when we cant rest for a tea or hot cocoa and read our Bibles. Im going to be more intentional to rest through the day so I can pray or read. Shalom sis.

Hi Tessi, I have a canning question. I made raspberry jam without pectin. I cooked the jam and it slow boiled for a long while. I put it in the boiled jars with lids but it was to later in the evening to hot water bath them. They cooled on my counter overnight and in the morning I put them in a hot water bath and once the water boiled i timed them for 10 minutes. I have removed them and they are cooling once again on my counter. Will these jars be shelf stable now? Or do they need to go in the fridge or freezer? I am new to all of this and I keep getting confliting information. I hope you can help me. Thank you and God bless. Recipe was raspberries, sugar and lemon juice.
Maybe a stupid question but where does an adult put powder on their body and night and why? I thought powder was for babybutts to stop rashes. Some elderly adults wear incontinence products and might need butt powder but I kind of doubt that is you yet. Genuinely curious. I use lotion before bed and this seems complete opposite, if you use it like a lotion, wouldn’t it make your skin super dry? When my skin gets to dry it cracks.
Tessie, that book is GOLD! I have to find a copy. Also, I thought u guys had a pellet stove? Did you switch to wood burning for the house? If you did, is there a video on it? We hav3 a mobile and r looking into a wood burning…where we live we have to jump through hoops tho.

Did I see correct? Does the wood stove vent through a door?
Yes it does. I noticed that also.
