      Two Mate(Gold Coast will bounce back). And without injury and some rotten luck the freo and Geelong game could have gone either way. Not saying their second best, but they’re definitely Alot better than the ladder suggests

    I really like Buckley as a media commentator. I think he's one of the best. He's balance, insightful and gives players and coaches the benefit of the doubt without coming across as defensive. Open to others views but doesn't change his mind every week like many do.

      @@benakers8925They didn't finish second bottom because of Buckley. He had already left months before that and at that time they defeated Melbourne in his last match as Coach they were sitting like 11th on the ladder. It was under Robert Harvey they got a lot worse for the rest of that season. Nonetheless their season that year was completely comprimised before it even started with the "Do Better Report' that lead to their long time President Eddie Maguire been forced to stepped down. That would severely damage just any other club's year.

    I think holding the ball should be called ealier. This would reduce the risk of injury to both players. Reward the bloody good effort of defenders who are concerned about causing concussion to their opponents.

    • @gwilkes5325
      @gwilkes5325 4 месяца назад +1

      Another thing I hate is incorrect disposal not being called. When a player picks up a ball, gets tackled and drops the ball, it should be incorrect disposal, regardless of whether they had prior opportunity.
      Not paying it as incorrect disposal is stupid, all does it make it so much harder for tacklers trying not to give away a free.
      Like how many times does a player hover over a ball, continuously “fumbling” it and drawing a holding the man call? It’s never been harder to be a tackler with all the unnecessary suspensions, players drawing highs, holding the jumper, no reward unless it’s perfect. Horrible

    • @rossclout9831
      @rossclout9831 4 месяца назад

      @gwilkes5325 It is easy to fix these problems, just pay a free when it should be paid, eg, if someone disposes of the ball incorrectly, 0r if they shovel the ball out af a 'ruck', this is also incorrect disposal and how many times do we see players throw the ball instead of hand balling.

  • @MozartificeR
    @MozartificeR 4 месяца назад +1

    If you experiment with no prior. Then you have to allow the ball holder to take on the tackler, if they get tackled at the same time. I think there is a world where you can have prior and the ball carrier that gets tackled at the same time is allowed to take on the tackler.
    Prior was considered in the 80's as about two seconds. Now it's about 1.5 seconds. Maybe we reduce it to 1 second, and allow the player with the ball to take on the tackler, without being automatically being adjudged as it being the prior.
    Scrap the take on the tackle being automatic prior taken, and make prior a one second prior. And try this for a couple of years I reckon.

      Watch 70s footy is a reason we can't scrap prior but they have to reward tackles. They are missing 10 plus a game. Also incorrect disposal, players just dropping the ball at will. Where is transparency for AFL umpires? The ruck rule is one to scrap. Just throw tha ball up and whoever there competes as long as not 2 from 1 side. Get the game moving FFS.

    Fagen should freshen up and get tough with his charges. Fagan so desperately wants to be a father figure and friend to the Brisbane players and all it has done is made a number of his key charges and himself soft. Time for Fages to swallow some concrete along with some of his players and come out aggressive, competitive and nasty. They can do it, but will they?
    Some players for Brisbane are looking like lost causes, Daniher, Hipwood, Rayner, even Charlie Cameron, he just goes walkabout now and again, awesome player when he's on, sometimes starved of the ball lol. Seriously I would look to get rid of Daniher, Hipwood and Rayner these guys turn up less than they should, Daniher makes terrible decisions at times, is all about himself, and Hipwood has never really had the AFL build to be an excellent player. Ranyner could be anything, but I feel he will always under deliver in the long run, he will not reach his full potential ever, he will always be a money down the drain type of player.
    A new coach will not fix Daniher, he's so all about himself, he will never change, just pick up the money and say I deserve it, I am a 'Daniher.'

    • @OTPpride
      @OTPpride 4 месяца назад

      Daniher is actually pretty solid up the ground but hipwood is dead weight.
      Doesn’t look like Rayner is going to become that tier 1 player he was expected to. Maybe should be traded out. Sad to say. Won’t become a Stringer-like player at Brisbane.

      To do that, the Crows would need to string some wins together, including on the road. I'm not even sure they will get past a resurgent Hawks outfit in Melbourne this week. They have trips to the Gabbatoir, and Kardinia Park which look beyond them. Away to the Bombers, home and away against Sydney, and another showdown . Can't see them winning more than 2 of those 6 games. Crows recent away record is not conducive to getting on a roll.
