I love how alot of really good hockey players are terrible with the mechanics of off ice work but are so perfect just goes to show what a different sport hockey is compared to on ground sports

His father is actually a gifted skater too, so it's also partially genetics and quality free tuition. McDavid's rare work ethic also separates him from the pack - not only is he the most talented, but he wants it the most too. The golden combination.
