👏👏👏 A big shout out to our growing list of Patrons. For those of you who want (and can) support our channel, here is how you can help:
It's a beautiful version. But it lacks the intensity of the Disturbed version. Notice I am not lumping in the original in the comparison. While Simon and Garfunkel are great wordsmiths, the up-tempo melody of the original version did not do the subject of the song justice. The Disturbed version provided an intensity, a rawness, a sense of frustration and loss that the original version couldn't convey with the musical tempo of it's time. This version does a good job in replicating the pitch and tone of the Disturbed version, and is an excellent cover of a cover. She has a very beautiful voice, but it lack that raw quality in the voice that someone has when they are hurt and frustrated from the lack of being able to communicate with others and have them understand as the song suggest.
Lovely cover and beautifully sung but it didn't move me the same as the Disturbed cover. I didn't FEEL it or connect with it unfortunately... but well done all the same.
Miss your singing.
Well, not to be misconstrued, but this is one of the songs that no one can cover correctly. Those who do cover it, can do wonderful jobs, as this young woman's harmony demonstrates, but the song was coceived in unrest's womb and birthed by us who looked over the horizon. Only Simon and Garfunkel can do it justice. Only our nearly 80 year old hearts are the ones that hear "...hey, now, what's that sound, everybody look what's going around..." and don't see pictures of that time.
There are 2 different versions of a cover song. Disturb has some heavy deep v motions. This young lady she sang with emotion too. You just have to watch her facial expressions
She has one of the purest voices I've ever heard. It's so rare and so beautiful. I love the original, and the cover from Disturbed, but this is haunting and truly amazing.
Very haunting. I played this on the piano when I was a young man. Now it takes on a deeper meaning after loosing my beautiful wife of 32 years 6 months ago.

I heard this song many times before, but never really listened to the words until now; I believe that is the intent... I believe Simon and Garfunkel would give her a standing novation. It’s a sad and dark song, but could be a wake up call.... Wake Up! In this world we live in today, recognize evil and its many sources, then make a choice; either good or evil... Choose; the time is now... Every where groups and people for reasons you might not understand are fighting for your soul, (the most precious thing you have) The time is now to choose and recognize what you are choosing; your soul depends on your choice.

I have never seen such a brilliant female mathematician with such an excellent voice anywhere before, I would say: everything was done right.
It takes a lot of courage to cover such an iconic song, you had that courage and rendered a fantastic cover, keep up the incredible work!

Nailed it. This is definitely a song that should be presented simply. Not jumping around and dancing distractions, just the singer and her voice.
What a beautiful cover of this iconic song. I've never heard a female voice sing this song. It's about time. Very moving.
