Mysore is the cleanest city in India. Followed by Trichy. Ppl are no different from the rest of our country but i rarely see ppl spitting or littering but the age old norm of public urination is also in check with multiple coorporation restrooms located on the pilgrimage routes in both these cities. They are squeaky clean. I once noticed this is Mysore. A bus running on a busy Rd had a passanger throw out a piece of paper on the road. 200ms away a watchman of a hotel walked casually to it. Picked it up and stashed it in the trash. I was thoroughly impressed cos till date i keep telling my family not to liter and I'm mocked for being a wannabe western and then they proceed to litter plastic everywhere.
It's a popular vegetarian restaurant. The food you have taken is a small amount of North Indian food with a South Indian flavour. They give hundreds of food items from iddly, dosa , vada onwards. I studied there forty years back and this Annapoorna was popular. The place is very safe.
Too bad that you guys got stuck with rainy weather in Ooty (The Nilgiris). Anyway, you guys seem to enjoy all that Coimbatore cuisine (well... Tamil Nadu cuisine). Annapoorna is a pure vegetaraian restaurant chain. Hope you tried more of those yummy sweets from Annapoorna.

You can buy the pappadam (Appalam in Tamil) packet from any nearby store. Popular brand is Ambika Appalam. You get plain or with various flavours. Take it home with you. You can fry the Appalam or heat over a low flame on the gas stove. Frying it it becomes curvy or with undulations, heat on low flame till it becomes crispy. Make sure you don’t burn it. You can ask the waiter or restaurant manager if you can visit the kitchen to see some preparations. Usually they allow if you are making videos about your journeys.

This video reminded me of a book I wanted to read in my childhood but haven't read until now( Alice in wonder land.) Thanks for the Masterpiece.
What you had at Annapurna alongwith soup is also a type of Pappadam. Instead of plain, it was with cumin, pepper and other ingredients. You also had cabbage curry which is cooked with grated coconut to remove cabbage smell and add taste. You also had Roti (not chapathi). The proper way to have South Indian meal: Dal (lentil) mix with a little rice and scoop it up with your fingers and slight dip in sambar, Rasam or any other wet curry. The various small cups are accompaniments. Next you have some curry with rice like the cabbage curry, then Sambar with rice, then Rasam with rice and finish your meal with curd (yogurt) with rice adding a touch of pickle to every bite. If in doubt always ask the waiter for names of the dishes.
Luke &. Naomi, Coimbatore Annapoorna, what you have been served first is Fresh Tomato Soup blended with Pepper Powder and Second item is Pappad Appalam blended with Pepper and Cummin Seeds. Excellent Start up for South Indian Dishes.
You can buy some curry powders to mix with rice and eat at home. Add a bit of ghee to the rice. Also in Tamilnadu buy Banana chips. These can be had as a snack or as accompaniment like the Pappadam
Coimbatore is my birth place ….. I love the city for what it is …… clean food, clean city and safest place to settle down for a calm and quiet life style

Actually coimbatore is one of the cleanest and safest cities in India, not just Tamil Nadu. I don't see any difference between Indore which is the cleanest Indian city and Coimbatore. I slightly put coimbatore above Indore.
@@shiningstone6771 seriously Coimbatore is underrated!! I traveled many other cities in TN with equal or slightly equal population of Coimbatore and except some posh areas the rest are full of garbage and poor sewage infrastructure that you can't even walk on the roads comfortably But In Coimbatore beside posh areas the overall city was so clean as I traveled 12 km within the city and surprisingly I can't even able to see litters on the road! You can walk comfortably on the roads and streets! Other cities in TN has a long way to reach the cleanliness of Coimbatore But I can't say about Indore😅 as I not gone there but definitely one of the finest cities in South India 👍🏻

This video reminded me of a book I wanted to read in my childhood but haven't read until now( Alice in wonder land.) Thanks for the Masterpiece.
Manchester of TAMIL NADU 🇮🇳🔥
Its manchester of south india not TN
Nice video thalaiva abt our grt calm Gud ppl friendly Coimbatore.
Best wishes to both jisaab
Welcome To Coimbatore 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you! 😃
Luke &. Naomi, Coimbatore Annapoorna, what you have been served first is Fresh Tomato Soup blended with Pepper Powder and Second item is Pappad Appalam blended with Pepper and Cummin Seeds. Excellent Start up for South Indian Dishes.
❤️🙏😊
even smalls towns in TN (few exceptions r there ) looks neat clean and well developed.
But CBE is a metropolitan city(2 million people)
All cities of tamil nadu are develoed
@@twilight0057 I mentioned .. "even"
@@anands2239 right 👍🏻
Every city except Chennai..... I vomit at the sight of those ugly slums
Comparing to Chennai Coimbatore is coollest!
You can buy some curry powders to mix with rice and eat at home. Add a bit of ghee to the rice. Also in Tamilnadu buy Banana chips. These can be had as a snack or as accompaniment like the Pappadam
Annapoorna is good for sambhar vadai with filter coffee☕
Coimbatore is my birth place ….. I love the city for what it is …… clean food, clean city and safest place to settle down for a calm and quiet life style
Nice! I wish you had visited Perur and Marudhamalai temples.
பட்டீஸ்வரர் 🙏🏻
Your travels are so beautiful. Thanks for sharing your words about COIMBATORE 🇮🇳 TAMIL NADU
.
lol, love you guys. Annapoona is like going to Denny's in America... and that crispy bread is a papadum. I would think you would be experts on that by now! KEep it up folks, enjoying your journeys from my couch in Canada at the moment!
Ooty is also part of Tamilnadu.
Welcome back to Tamilnadu❤
Trivia: Coimbatore is twinning town with Esslingen (Germany) and Toledo (Ohio, US)
You are an inspiration for life!Blessings!
And u can visit to Ahmedabad, Hyderabad,Chandigarh,Mumbai,Pune,Noida ,gurugram ,Delhi aero city,Kolkata etc for some more modern city experiences in India.
Respect and Green City... The Tamil accent which they speak is different from other places with a lot of respect..
looks like you both loved the south india thali meal with Pappad. enjoy the rest of your travels
Actually Coimbatore is a clean city compared to Chennai or any other city in Tamilnadu
Trichy is cleaner
Actually coimbatore is one of the cleanest and safest cities in India, not just Tamil Nadu.
I don't see any difference between Indore which is the cleanest Indian city and Coimbatore.
I slightly put coimbatore above Indore.
@@shiningstone6771 seriously Coimbatore is underrated!!
I traveled many other cities in TN with equal or slightly equal population of Coimbatore and except some posh areas the rest are full of garbage and poor sewage infrastructure that you can't even walk on the roads comfortably
But In Coimbatore beside posh areas the overall city was so clean as I traveled 12 km within the city and surprisingly I can't even able to see litters on the road! You can walk comfortably on the roads and streets!
Other cities in TN has a long way to reach the cleanliness of Coimbatore
But I can't say about Indore😅 as I not gone there but definitely one of the finest cities in South India 👍🏻
iningstone6771 wellsaid
U r always welcome to the smartcity with more respect frm coimbatorien....i am proud to say tat iam coimbatorien

Didnt expect a vlog in my city coimbatore from foriegners as it is not a very touristy place (except adiyogi), but it is an amazing and underrated place 😍
coming to your city for job purpose, if possible suggest or help me out with living places and food. I am from North UP. Got posting in Gopalapuram. What's the rent like for 1bhk or 2bhk. PG charges or hostel. Please it would you great if you reply
Annapoorna gives a very good filter in morning and evenings (you could have asked in noon as normally people do not take coffee after lunch)
Try pollachi near to Coimbatore
Visit THiruchiraapalli ,maduraithere is also interesting places.
In the refrigerator you picked your 7up and mountain dew there was Cold Badam(Almond) milk, you should try it, it is a very good drink, if you are unable to find which one is that, ask the shop keeper for Badam Milk. Paneer Soda is also an unique Indian soft drink which you can try, they have an unique amazing taste.
