stupid question, but why don't you just connect the ir led to the pi directly? (and btw. you uploaded this video in 1080x1920, thats about 2 megapixels, so you probably shouldnt laugh about a cam with 5... (and yes, the pi cam is shit, but not because of the 5mp))
You could [use an infrared transceiver], but the signal strength could be a limiting factor. It could work out if you find the right code for your TV station. An infrared transceiver is a third of the cost of a TV B-Gone, so it's a good idea. Ah, I didn't know that about the Pi camera, but I do want to get the upgraded module for the next video so the picture is clearer with a Pi5.
I bought this set from Curious Eelectronics! Here is the item www.curiouselectric.co.uk/products/tv-b-gone?variant=4754309252¤cy=GBP&
3:03 cute little character ☺️
What a smart project idea 💡⚡️📺
you used a 100 dollar pi instead of using a 1 dollar universal remote
Haha true it’s a lot smaller though, and has ranges for not just EU tvs but is coded to work with the US market as well!
underrated!
excited for more videos
Thank you for enjoying! More cool stuff soon
now thts an underrated channel
Thank you for enjoying!
Nice! I'm looking forward to see more of your evil plans.
whyd you wake up and just decide to be evil
If I don’t there is no balance in the world 😈
"makeshift finger lol"
Wouldn't it be easier to just use an Android phone with IR and the app IR Remote?
You could try bur I am not sure if they work for turning of a bunch do random tvs. A universal remote could work if you wanted a non soldering version

@@EamonMagd you could also just use an infrared led with a transistor
