Keep up the good content
When it comes to musket units you have to consider it raining, all but the KriegsRats are affected by the rain with decrease accuracy and a large chance to misfire. You can tell when it happens when there's only black smoke coming from the end of the musket. I have tried the Sea Stags, from what i can gather is that they come with a 50% chance to misfire even without rain taking effect. I have tested it with a body that at even point blank range against pike militia only 50% of the shots actually hit, even with the white smoke muzzle flash that tells you they fire. Which leads me to believe that it's not actually an accuracy issue, its the fact that only 50% of your units actually work. They really need to fix them. That being said, max out IronCap Arquebusiers can down Reapers in 15-20 seconds, once they are Elited they get a chance to double fire, even the Demesne's get that once Elited, which begs the question. Does getting a unit to Elite status give them unseen buffs? I do believe so.
It's a good point about the raining debuff and interesting to hear about your testing with the sea stags could easily be a bug wouldn't surprise me because as you say maxed iron caps are actually a really decent unit and can put out some serious damage. Hmm interesting point, I have no idea if there is a hidden buff for elite status, its possible I suppose
Honestly that cannon shot you took that cleared the walls and hit that courtyard is very underplayed when needed. I had a game that that square was locked down and the alleyways too so I went back there and lobbed a few in to break up the lines.
Imo Tercios are probably the second worst T5 unit in-game (cataphracts the worst). They are in nearly all aspects worse than Pavise, with only health and armour stats being outstanding. They have much worse accuracy and even if they hit they tend to do only 1,5k damage with the rare 4k crit. I think the devs really thought they were going to be useful in melee but that idea has really fallen flat. Also they have a positive trait of heavy recoil but i don't think there is anything positive about it and just reduced accuracy. All in all i think Kriegs are better since they pressure the enemy much more since they actually hit and the imperials have much more reliable damage. I wish they had either more models per unit OR much higher base damage ( like 4k per hit since the heavy recoil should imply high calliber) OR if they really want to double down on the melee capabilities they could give them either a charge or a brace skill.
So I play a musket main and while using a musket as a player I've noticed I do WAY more damage at close range than long-range. The difference is huge. So my tactic for my own weapon is to stand right behind or even inside melee troops and fire on the enemy near point-blank for maximum damage potential while letting melee troops soak the hits for me. This doesn't stop me from taking the shot on any target anywhere within my allowed firing range. But it does determine sort of where I consider ideal and try to position myself when possible. I can't say 100% for sure, but I think musket troops work the same way. If you're trading shots with archers at a range your muskets will get cut to pieces. But if you move in close and open up a volley within 10-20 feet of your opponents you will melt them. So with muskets you're always looking for a place that you can have a lot of effect just beyond melee reach of your opponents. Backing up your allies in a spear vs. spear fight. Moving in to the exposed flank of some shield troops and unleashing a volley etc. They'll cut the enemy to pieces exceptionally quickly in the right scenario. You just have to find that scenario. I think it's an error to compare them too much to archers as if you play them like an archer, you are playing them wrong.
Arquebusier units are good fun. I'm still dead set on CB getting a unit of dragoons so I can have my cav warband and still contribute in TW city battles.
Which ones, we currently have the season 4 janissaries that you need to complete the challenges to unlock or you can unlock other musket units with honor in the tech tree
hwacha story, ok defending frontier camp, holding teh main point with namkhans, gate broken. i setup my hwacah, and obliterated everyone on that chokepoint
Is it me or does the cannons in the game seemed bugged, same angle same spot produces different shots. Sometimes, it even seemed like wind plays a part. Or is this whole thing intentional.
@@nRaGeful yup i understand that the cannons moves after each shot, so i normally try to go back to the original position. Rarity ( big / small canons) affects the distance/range also. With these 2 considered, the way cannon shoots is still weird sometimes. Your English is fine, don't worry.
@@EvoLozGaming khevtuul are a very delicate unit, maybe the most micro-intensive and decision-based unit in the game o.o maybe! they suffer from a small unit size, low armour, low hp, low damage, and high cost - however they're so damn cool. They're fast, they can take out other cavalry with their ranged attack (just dont get into melee with them) so long as you keep at a distance, and their arrows are actually quite strong, a few volleys should kill any unit other than shieldwalls. Definitely fun but if you wanna swap them for rattan rangers, it's understandable :P also, we need to hold some sort of awards ceremony for that last surviving kriegsrat!
Khorchins have slowly become one of my favorite units. They're really cheap to resupply and their bodkin arrows let them punch above their weight class. My favorite thing is to leave them on follow and ride circles around monastics until they're all dead. They struggle a little bit against large units because they don't have the arrows to drag down a large amount of health on a lot of bodies, but there are always more arrows at the resupply and the same can't be said for bodies. It is rather sad to just lose the whole unit to rangers that look at you sideways though...

choosing kriegsrats over imperials, i see you are a man of taste :>
They certainly did me proud in this battle :D
Now you gotta get a full 15 stack of players with only muskets so you can show the enemy the true power of black powder!

I'd be interested in an update of this video. I suspect muskets would do rather well in the current meta
using only 2 Star Units would be awesome, #tryhardpikemilitia :D
It's not a bad idea may end up giving that one a go :)
I just wanted to point out that once you use the Fast Foward - Combo skill you don't need to tap the skill button like that.
yea lol
