It's my fav song of the album, alongside "The adults are talking" and "Eternal summer". There aren't many artists that can convince me to listen to a whole album. The production is amazing, and I can’t say I’ve heard anything really as unique as the album in a long time. The only thing I will say is that there is this confident kind of bang on the wall, spit in your face kind of vibe with the album that I appreciate, but it doesn’t pull on the emotional heart strings like this new Strokes album did for me. But it was still a really great record.

Some tasteful samples can add a lot plus atmospheric synths and stuff, as long as people aren't copying and pasting other music and calling it "samples." But you're right, a lot of people can't just jump in head first into metal, some hard rock albums can be fairly universal tho and can serve as a gateway drug lol. I'm pretty sure metal is one of the fastest growing genres, so who knows, we might have a society of headbangers sometime soon. I guy can dream lol.

My wife and I are always on the hunt for new music, so we came home and gave the whole album a once-through, went in the next room and made love, then came back and listened to all over again. Man alive, do I miss great music. It's therapeutic to the soul. 'Selfless' is an instant classic. Thumbs up on the reaction vid, Brad.
