This actually perfectly captures how this song would be done by them. Makes it almost sound like it could have been a Type O song originally. What makes it even better is how Pantera and Type O toured together and were very good friends in their personal lives.
You have to slow it to .75 to really get the Type O effect

Listened to this song countless times, and just can't stop. It's feels like I'm actually listening to Peter himself singing and like he's still alive! I'm literally crying, it's a magic.
its amazing you can do Petrus and Kennys voices to a tee. when kenny would say, "hey petah. I dont understand the lyrics" in the studio, pete would say, " you fookin sing it then"....thats teamwork!

Speaking of Pantera and Type O Negative, towards the end of this live performance of Christian Woman from ~1996(Maybe 97), Vinnie Paul actually shows up on stage, and the final few "Jesus Christ Looks Like Me" become I think something like "Vinnie Paul looks me", because I couldn't tell the entirety of what Peter was singing because I'm like half-deaf, but yeah. Real good shit. Funny too. Lol.

They were fast friends and maniacal party animals.

@@COYM_1908 it's just a pipe dream of mine. I love Type O and I have seen them live many times. One of my favorite things to do is to watch Symphony for the Devil with the band commentary on. Peter Steel's humor is on full display.

I hope Kenny and the boys hear this. This was such a rad and badass cover and tribute to Peter and the the rest of both bands. Man Type O is no more after Peter has passed, BUT BUT but just saying if the guys ever did want to do some kind of a live tribute somewhere somehow in honor of their late friend, brother, and front man/bassist, you definitely would be able to help make that happen that’s for sure my friend. Respects. Ha and this is like exactly how a Type O Negative cover version of one of my top favorite Pantera songs of all time would sound like, most definitely haha! It makes you laugh in a great way at how badass this ended up being. Also almost like a "In Praise of Bacchus" clean guitar with the intro etc. 🤘 We all know their relationship Type O and Pantera. You know Peter, Dime, and Vin are all looking down smiling when you made this man, sharing it with the world. This will be getting played while at work tomorrow alongside October Rust, some additional Type O Negative as well I’m sure, Misfits, Ozzy, White Zombie, some other theatrical bands I like, and with this cover you made that nobody knew they wanted but now need haha and in an eerie but good way, almost like Peter channeling his energy through you while you made this. To give us all a gift at Halloween letting us know his spirit still lives through his music. Cool to imagine at least right?! 🤘🙏 Very awesome and Happy Badass Halloween indeed. Everyone should have at least one cat, people don’t know what they are missing. I love dogs too and have had two over my lifetime. I let God send me my pets, almost all of our animals have found us. We sadly live near a road where people will toss out animals…but we’ve had ten cats over the past decades, 6 at one time once, which was overwhelming, but they are family.

In 1995 or 1996 I saw these two bands touring together . All I can say is … pretty spot on and cool . Love your interpretations . Never gets old .

hi there! I worked with both Type O and Pantera - saw a bunch of shows on that tour. It was the other way around. Pantera was famous for covering their opening acts during sound checks as well as a quick medley during the show depending on who was opening.

Definitely hearing the influence of "Profit of Doom" here. However, in my opinion might have been better to go with the "Christian Woman" influence with more pipe organ synth. Good render overall though, keep up the good work!
