I remember wishing so hard that there'd be a Cassandra and Varian duet ever since Season 2's finale came out, just imagining Eden and Jeremy's vocals together gave me chills. When the episode "Cassandra's Revenge" came out, I was cautious yet a bit hopeful that they'll fulfill my wish. When the buildup for "Nothing Left to Lose" came, I nearly lost my mind; I was freaking out throughout the whole song when I first watched it. Sorry to the people who saw/heard my little squeal of excitement and disbelief (I couldn't believe it was finally happening! I was watching during lunchbreak at school). It didn't disappoint! It really rounded out their characters and bringing Varian's story full circle, the vocals are amazing and the animation is just so dramatic and beautiful. I just love that song, definitely the best in the show imo

Fun fact, they actually recorded that song in person together in the studio! They wanted it to sound natural and epic and I think they more than achieved that.

Rapunzel's Tangled Adventures has no right being as good as it is. Rapunzel's story was done and we already had a wedding short to wrap things up. So, the fact that the writers were able to craft such a compelling story, while introducing new characters, and still being emotionally impactful is astounding. So happy to see it getting more recognition

I'm really glad to see someone give nothing left to lose the appreciation it deserves! HOWEVER I'm disappointed that crossing the line didn't make it into the top ten. That one has gotta be in my top 5
I dont like that song because Cassandra basically blames Rapunzel for everything that has ever gone wrong in her life. When in reality Cass had it so much better then Rapunzel did growing up.

Ready as I'll Ever Be is my favorite but I gotta say Nothing Left to Lose is deserving of the number one spot if it isn't gonna be Ready as I'll Ever Be. Both songs are so good and the duet in Nothing Left to Lose is so good, cause you can see how hard Varian is trying to bring back Cas and keep her from making the same mistake he did.

Same!! I was waiting for Eugene's solo since the beginning of the show (which wasn't very long considering that I binged the entire show in 4 days) and then when I finally got to it Disney+ crashed and took almost 15 minutes to get running again....

Honestly, Varian and Cassandra are my favorite characters from the Tangled franchise. Not just from the show, the ENTIRE franchise. I literally have a playlist that is just the songs that they star in as the lead vocals, so that is Let Me Make You Proud, Ready As I'll Ever Be, Waiting in the Wings, Crossing the Line, and Nothing Left to Lose. They're my absolute favorite songs from the series, right alongside With You By My Side.
My only gripe about the soundtrack version of the songs is that they mess with the vocals of With You By My Side. They turn Rapunzel way up and then they turn down Cassandra, almost to the point where you can't hear her harmony at all. I don't get why they did this, since the whole point of the song is to show how well they work together as a team, but they quiet Eden's vocals down and it's hard to hear her. I end up singing Cassandra's part whenever I hear the song, just so I can get the full harmony effect that she gave to the song.
I overall adore the songs from TTS, and I still listen to them to this day. How could I not? They're just that good.
I discovered the show by mistake thinking that Before Ever After was the actual Tangled movie that came out in 2010. But when I saw the animation, I was just like “what the heck is this?” I was absolutely terrified of the style. But I sat down and gave the show a shot and I absolutely LOVED IT! When it ended I was like “what? That’s it? It’s over already?” It felt so weird for the next couple weeks after that coming downstairs just staring at the tv and just thinking “what do I do now?” I love all the songs in the series (except for the two that revolves around both of the hook brothers. They were awful.) anyway I was very surprised with Nothing Left To Lose. It was insane! I love Jeremy and Eden’s voices they’re incredible! Ready As I’ll Ever Be was absolutely one of my all time favorite songs in the entire series. This was also the very first time I ever watched a tv series from beginning to end. I did end up missing a few episodes during the first season because it kept going on hiatus and I never really knew when it would come back on. But I got all caught up just in time for the season 1 finale and that ended up being my favorite episode ever! I miss this show so much. It was amazing. It had me at the edge of my seat every week. I can’t believe very soon it’ll be two years since it ended. Also what’s even more insane when it’s March 10th it’ll be 5 years since it started! That’s half a decade already! That’s just absolutely crazy!
HOW is Crossing The Line not in the top 10???
I might be biased, but the top 3 are Nothing left to lose, crossing the line and waiting in the wings are the top 3.

And sigh… Through It All. It’s fine on it’s own, but I was hoping the finale was gonna have another dramatic number with Cassandra, Rapunzel, Eugene, Varian and the rest of the kingdom… and then we get that. 😑

Like many comments, I'm very surprised and happy that people are still talking about this amazing TV show. There were so many hidden references, similarities and great deliveries that I forgot it was a Disney movie. To this day, I still re-listen to all of these songs especially "Waiting in the Wings," "Nothing Left to Lose," and "Wind in my Hair."

Loved the ones you highlighted, but I'm so surprised Crossing the Line wasn't on the main list! It's like Defying Gravity, but the dark version (which is even better when you realize Eden Espinosa played Elphaba on Broadway). It's so epic in scale, especially for being such a short song. It's the one I keep coming back to most on the soundtrack, so it would probably be my #1.

This entire show is just amazing some parts are stronger then others but I never felt like I’m wasting my time it was such a delight watching the show and Varian is the best character in my opinion

I guess this is called difference of opinion, but I'm really sad that Wind in my hair and Ready as I'll ever be aren't in the top 5
However I do agree with the top two. These two songs are one of my top reasons of loving this series
I disliked season 3 and Cassandra’s villian arc but I love Nothing Left to Loose (Seriously most of the songs in this show are even better than the ones in the movie)
I would’ve loved to see a reprise of “Next stop anywhere” like a flashback of Varian in prison saying “Next stop Corona” showing that he is with the sphorians or maybe “Next stop nowhere” with a little flashback of Varian in a nightmare in season 3 and him dreaming about being back at prison and again everybody hating him.

Waiting in the wings is my favourite song in Tangled. Eden Espinosa delivered it with her vocals and how she builds it up. She is my Broadway Idol and my and my favourite Elphaba in the Broadway musical wicked She is my dream role💚

First things first ,loved your top 10 .I found it pretty unique and i 'm so happy for songs like "the Buddy song" and "Next stop Anywhere" and "Stronger than ever Before" and "With you by my side" ,which not so often are in the people's Top 10 songs :''3
Second,I won't slander you for putting "Ready as I'll ever be" lower than usual .I mean the song is one of my favorites too but it kind of have a "let it go effect" on me since is practically the fandom's favorite but the song slaps not doubt and definitely for top 10 and even top 5 :3
Third,love that you also love the reprises of the song,in many cases if not all the reprises get me to love the main song even more XD :''3

Never left to lose is literally my 𝓯𝓪𝓿𝓸𝓻𝓲𝓽𝓮 𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓰 𝓯𝓻𝓸𝓶 the series. What is also interesting is that Varian was once a 𝓿𝓲𝓵𝓵𝓪𝓲𝓷 like Cass. And now Varian is trying to remind her how bad it feels like when he was in that “phase”
Also 𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓼 𝓲𝓼 𝓶𝔂 𝓯𝓪𝓿𝓸𝓻𝓲𝓽𝓮 part of the song 14:55. Their voice are just so good together! Also this is so true 5:45😂

I am genuinely surprised Crossing The Line wasn't anywhere on this. I was expecting it to be the #1 song, so imagine my surprise when it was Nothing Left to Lose instead. Another honorable mention I'd have included is Tougher Than That, it was a fun one, or even Listen Up. Gah, all of the songs are so good! Always fasincating to see what stands out to other people and how people rank them

all the songs in this series are fantastic and Alan Menken deserves that emmy he won for waiting in the wings but the 3 songs that stood out to me were everything i ever thought i knew if i i could take that moment back and I'd give anything they all make me think of my ex girlfriend

Nothing left to lose is absolute fire it’s definitely my number one favorite song from the show number 2 for me would probably be if I could take that moment back it’s such a beautiful song and I’m just a total sucker for love ballad duets

I agree with a lot of these, but crossing the line deserves to be up there
The two biggest issues with this show were how it handled Eugene throughout its run and how it handled Cassandra in season 3, which is an absolute shame because so much of it was a genuine masterpiece

@@lucyheartfilia2015 sure. Eugene was comedic relief most of the time in RTA. He was far more vain than he was in Tangled, and generally lost a lot of the emotional maturity he gained that made him a good partner for Rapunzel by the end of the film. I mean they really, really played up the vanity.
Cassandra was frustrating to watch in season 3, because nearly ever time we caught up with her it was the same thing: She was questioning her path, and then Zhan Tiri manipulated her into not leaving it. Over and over.
@@adammyers7383Hmm... Now you mention it, Eugene served no purpose. He was not vain in the tangled before ever after movie but other than that, he really was a comedic relief (and sometimes annoying)
And him suddenly being a prince in the last season was too sudden too
