Thanks for this video. The only one I have tried is paper birds and I cannot express how much I loved it. It’s beautiful! One other great experience is “the line”, a cute story in a miniature city with some interaction. A great cute short story is Henry, great for kids.
Thanks so much for taking the time to research the non-game experience for the quest. These visual experiences are amazing. Love this channel! Thanks for all you do. Looking forward to the next video
I used the Optimizer on my quest 2. It made a massive difference. I can't imagine how it looks with those pancake lenses. Literally the most used application/game I've bought, hands down.
I'm so glad you highlighted Theater Elsewhere. These animations made in Quill by Smoothstep have always been my absolute favourite thing to experience in the entire VR medium. I say that even after I've experienced the most widely regarded highlights of VR like Half-Life: Alyx, Lone Echo, and Asgard's Wrath. The Tales from Soda Island series especially is so beautiful, whimsical, and touching that it still makes me tear up, and I've watched through the whole series at least a dozen times over the years. I can't recommend Theater Elsewhere and Quill enough. I even taught myself to make my own Quill animations.
The new go anywhere feature is blowing my mind. I haven't been on quest in a couple of months because I bought a Magic Leap 1 and having been messing around with that before they shut down the device at the end of the year. I agree that Quill and the galley of people's creations is one of the coolest things in VR and as a aspiring story teller looking towards using quill to tell my stories its awesome that the player is still being improved on.
I didn't know the animation were made in Quill, that's so cool I'll be looking into that. I agree completely, it's truly the best immersive content I've experienced in VR. And YES Soda Island is such a lovely experience. Excited for the future of VR all around. I'm hoping the lower entry cost of the Quest 3S there will be a boost in demand for more non gaming quality content! Thanks for watching and commenting, much more content on the way!
I am so happy you are making videos for non gamers. I just came across this thing that i experienced during the london bfi extended section 2 years ago. It's called On the morning you wake. This is also a stunning non gamer artwork that you should maybe list in one of your next videos.
This is a great list with some things on here I did not know about. I haven't been on quest in a couple of months so I had no ideal they changed the name of VR Animation Player and added some new features to it. The fly anywhere feature blows my mind and makes me want to revisit every quillstration now. Its funny because they use to have that feature back in early days of Quill Theater on PC as well as the ability to scale the world to any size you wanted.
So I griped about Meta TV at length. I also want to add this is a great video, with some experiences I definitely have to check out. I already checked out the meta one where you can explore artists workshops, and it is amazing. I probably spent almost an hour just wandering those shops, moving my head around to look underneath things, etc. Pretty cool.
Right!? Gaussian Splatting is so fascinating. Can't wait to see what the world of graphics is going to look like in 10 years. It's gonna be nuts! Thanks for watching and commenting! Let's keep the convo flowing.

New update of Theater Elsewhere was released today with auto controller hiding after 5sec idle time and new options for free fly mode movement behavior in settings!
Actually more then anything, I feel at peace and joy to have elders try at home and escape them into some beautiful Swiss locations in 3d or scenic view so they feel relax and happy. Wish they do more high quality 3d scenic films or photography with real life elements. I purchased the last one mentioned in other videos. But they are limited locations in them. Thanks for this. Please let them coming, not everything has to be about games. Peaceful app or high quality 3d videos clips are worth the trip to VR. Appreciate your channel
Thanks so much! I'll definitely be highlighting more in the future. I agree it's a nice thing for elders and anyone to just drift away and enjoy some beauty! Thanks for watching!
At 82 years and living in a very isolated County in Eastern Oregon, I have loved the Quest 2 and now the Quest 3. I have a 13 year old who has been no where and needs to be exposed to so many experiences. Digital video stores are massive, so I too wish developers would broaden the market to include immersive situations. I see great potential for training adults also such as firefighters, EMTs, and people who carry guns so they hesitate before shooting someone.
Thanks for your great and informative videos, for me the most concise channel for great Quest experiences. Would help me a lot to see the title and how to find it on the screen while you share your thoughts, watching on a tv is more convoluted pausing and getting to the description each time.
This is a great list and I may try a few of the suggested apps. I also agree that QGO was the best money I spent on my Quest 3 so far. It really allows pretty much every game or app to run at a higher than stock resolution and that's huge for VR, as the shaper, the more immersive it is. I do have a Bobo VR S3 halo strap with a few batteries so I never worry about battery life as I swop the batteries every time one is dead, effectively allowing for unlimited play time.
Meta TV gripe: Zuckerborg has spent so much money on stuff no one likes. Meanwhile, he could literally spend half a million dollars on some great quality 3D cameras, and just set a bunch of people free to record nature, walking tours of cities, trails, and museums, and Meta TV would be AMAZING. Performances from various bands, theater companies, and so much more. He could make Meta TV an amazing experience. Instead it is 80% agenda driven lecturing that no one wants and some old low resolution 360 animal videos where you're not sure if you're seeing a lion or a rhino because it's so fuzzy and washed out. Why not list the resolution or enable filtering by resolution. I wanna see great 8k 180 3d videos. There are some, but even the free version of DeoVR has Zuck beat there.
Mark's been too busy rigging the FB algorithm to appease his FBI cronies' quest to manipulate presidential campaigns. Maybe after November he'll get back to focusing on the points you specified within your comment. Until then, you just gotta wait. He's such a d-bag.

Awesome list. I have family from out of state visiting me next month. They have never experienced vr so I am trying to find some of the best apps for them to experience the best of vr. I already have some cool games and content for them to view on meta TV but all of these recommendations in this video will make the experience a lot better. For some reason I enjoy sharing my mq3 with others more than I do using it myself. I spend more time looking for cool apps and experiences to download in order to share with others. By the way do you have some good recommendations for scarry games or experiences? Still have to build up my collection in this category.
Two others that were great are, See Without Eyes featuring The Glitch Mob it was on Wave VR no longer available and Transition also sadly no longer available
All VR videos are in a low quality, yes the fov is good. but the videos are always low quality. is there any fix for it? does 8K videos looks any different? Or we didn't reach that yet?
It is a frustrating thing with video. The best way I've seen to get super high quality is Slice of Life VR. If you pay to join his Patrion you can download full quality videos that look amazing. But it's quite a process. The technology is there. Creators need to catch up. It'll get there!
I'm not a nuclear expert, but I do know about harsh environments. The core of a nuke creates a harsh environment for the internal mechanism that makes the bomb work. Insulators break down, corrosive materials cause damage that's difficult to inspect for. That's just the nuke. The rocket has the very same kind of problems, except that it has a LOT more moving parts and parts that have to survive extreme flight conditions. O-rings dry out and become brittle. Hello. There is something that has never been discussed in the world of VR: have you noticed that in VR, when we are close to celestial bodies in outer space, the impression we get is actually that of being in front of miniatures of them? For example, if we are in orbit around a planet, we see something resembling a ball the size of a building ten meters away; if in front of a galaxy, we see a cloud of dust occupying an area no larger than that of any room in the house. And so it goes with any other cases in this context. There is, in short, no real sense of immensity, which I find very frustrating. Given this, are you aware of any actions by the developers to address this (apparent?) problem?
You bring up an interesting point. I think the limitation is processing capability more than anything. Hopefully this will be addressed in the future as more and more content is created with these kinds of comments brought to the forefront. It would be nice to really feel like a galaxy is swirling around you. Spheres does a pretty good job of this in comparison to many other experiences. Have you tried it?
@@GameListPlus I suppose, then, that you understood what I meant; many VR content enthusiasts don't, which I find strange. In the end, if this problem is indeed related to the current low processing capacity, that's not too bad; it means that the emergence of a solution for this inconvenience is just a matter of time (not much, I believe), which is great. As for Spheres, I don't recall having seen it. I will look it up, and as soon as I can, I will try it. Thank you for the response.
Please don't censor this post, as it's imperative that your viewers know this FACT about Meta VR devices: A cautionary tale for current and prospective Meta Quest VR headset owners (for sim'ing or gaming): I'm on day 22 of Meta holding my Quest headsets hostage. I've been using Oculus/Quest devices from the day they started making them (10 years ago?), and I have not been required to give my date of birth to Meta in all this time. But they recently demanded my DOB under threat of disabling my Quests, and they made good on that threat 22 days ago. Meta can metaphorically brick your headsets, any time they want, and for any reason they want, and you will have no defense against it. Conclusion: Think carefully before you BUY anything from Meta; The thing you BUY will not be yours.
Most of the videos look bad, the Atlantic VR Studios stuff is supposedly "8k" I don't know about that, but it definitely looks 10 times better than most of the other stuff on MetaTV!
Dont buy recombination. That app is just plain stupid. First you need to download the video clips. Not only that, there are 8 different videos accounting for maybe an hour of footage. And the worst thing is they ask money for this.
I think it's great honestly. It's annoying to have to download the videos, but you can just select download all. But to each their own! Thanks for watching!

@@Daniel_Bettega_52 absolutely! Yes, definitely aatter of time! Can't wait to see what the future holds!
I don't need an experience to Experience ADHD, I am ADHD.
I am too, but it's actually really cool. And shows us how bad it is for others.
Please don't censor this post, as it's imperative that your viewers know this FACT about Meta VR devices:
A cautionary tale for current and prospective Meta Quest VR headset owners (for sim'ing or gaming):
I'm on day 22 of Meta holding my Quest headsets hostage.
Interesting, it must have to do with the Meta platform? That is strange.
So why You not talk about 8k VR web cam girls? 100% best looking thing in VR lol =P
Haha! Not sure how RUclips would feel about that. Nothing against it though! 😅🙃
Oorah
😁
so hear me out what if your watch pysc trip while your all ready tripping on said drug lmao it probably wouldnt go well
Sounds like a lot 🤣
just a suggestion... maybe go the extra minute and instead of the umber... just say what the fuck the video segment is?...
Thanks for the suggestion
i just realzied, bad cartoonish graphics like most generic games in quest and stylish games are different
Graphical limitations keep things on the basic side with the standalone Quest, hopefully as the newer systems improve we'll get more and more realism!
soo still no reason to get one
Finished Batman Arkham Shadow today... Sheesh, that alone makes it worth it to me. Incredible game.
No written names of the games, only numbers? Ok..
Taking notes, thinking I'll put the names of the games and experiences on screen for each segment.
1Well, you're certainly right about poor video quality on Quest TV. it is NOT4K, it is NOT 1080p, it looks like 280p.
"gaw-shin"... no, gaussian is pronounced "gow-see-an"
Haha thank you for correcting me! I will be saying it right in the future! 🙏
Being blatantly wrong while correcting other people is pure cringe. The mans name was Gauss. Go figure.
Haha wait so how is it pronounced then?
@@suqdic His name is pronounced gow-s

You can click the speaker icon at the top of the article to pronounce his name. Gaussian is pronounced gow-see-an, like I said. I have a masters degree in computer science, I've used the term hundreds of times.
@@GameListPlus He's wrong, I'm not:

Meh...
😭
Not a fan of all these visual experiences, would rather see more high resolution 360 and 180 content that's more HD and less vertigo causing.
I hear ya! Things will improve though!
Funny how a review can be so destroyed by the presenter just pronouncing a word wrong! Gaussian pronounced "Gorzhin" was just awful! The rest was good, of course...
Sorry I mispronounced it! I'm only human!
"Atlantic VR Studios" doesn't seem to exist anymore in the Meta Quest TV app. Do you know where else I can access those videos today?
I put a link in the description for one of the Galapagos videos. The rest are there too!
@@GameListPlus Thanks. Got it.
