Awesome! Do you do video commissions? If so, what are your rates and do you accept PayPal?
@@The_M2023 Hey, no, sorry, I don't do commissions, I'm usually pretty booked out on series work and my own pitch ideas in my downtime. But thanks so much for asking. ^^
It's interesting that they took out that part where Logs is going along with Paulie in the performance and Barney looks sad because of it. Just a thought.
Yeah. :') That was my intention, capturing Barney's reaction seeing Logs being one of the "bad guys." In this case I'm guessing the shot was cut for timing reasons (the section probably played a bit too fast for animation to do their part) and/or they had to trim some shots overall in the episode for timing/budget reasons and this was one that could go.
LOVE the way Norma and Pauline were drawn!!
Ahh, thank you so much! I loved drawing them all.
Saaaame it's a bit more stiff and contrasts perfectly with the bubbly body structures of the characters.
Honestly, I think Pauline is either western or has a unique voice-
But I find her as a total girl boss 💀
In the comics it's mentioned that she's supposed to have a southern accent, I think that's what Miss Coco Peru was going for.
I personally really like looking at storyboards because I have trouble storyboarding myself, so I use these as reference. And I just want to say that your D.E.P.P ones have really helped and are just really fun to watch!
Ok, so I haven’t watched the show, but I watched this scene out of curiosity on the ‘tube because I do love a good phantom of the opera parody. What I didn’t expect was a damn good animation and song that blew my expectations out of the water. The expression work was amazing in particular, every single movement felt human. And I love seeing it all start to come together here.
Awesome job!!! I seriously can’t give you enough props for helping bring this scene to life.
(Ps: from what I’ve heard of Pauline, she totally would’ve had her face on the door. Wish that didn’t get cut, but I get it, can’t control what the final animation people do)
It was really incredible to work with Patrick Stump's music... not just because I'm a Fall Out Boy fan but... because his songs were just simply amazing. I really tried to do the songs justice, I know it's a dream job for a lot of people, as it was mine!
Hah! I think the reason why I put her face on was because I didn't know whether or not we could use text/letters/words! Her face is basically her branding. To be fair, the P is less distracting! But yes, she would totally have her face on the door. ;)
1:46 I really wish they kept the angle and lighting in this storyboard. Really makes Pauline look more threatening 👀
Also Logs doin the lil arm thing, tho I assume they removed that cause Logs hates musicals
I was going for more threatening! ^^ I guess there must have been limitations to the character rigs in showing them at some angles, sadly things are out of my control once it goes into storyboard revisions and layout... One day I'll direct my own musical thing!! 🤞
@@altheaaseoche5875 oooo I hope so!
1:32 The way Courtney is drawn in this scene it's just so funny
Yeah! Those panels were done by the head of story, I left the panels alone because I thought they were fine. 😁
I love the subtle note changes they did for pauline but it’s EXACTLY the same otherwise for that part it’s so cool
I kind of wish they kept the end note more harmonized the way it is in this
People are gonna hate me for this but Pauline looks and sounds just like a drag queen and I love it
idk why people would hate you for that. i think it was intended.
Yep as Arson said, it was intentional! Miss Coco Peru is the VO. Actually, I always thought Pauline was a drag queen (I mean, they asked me to storyboard a death drop!) but it hasn't actually been confirmed. I'll have to ask. ^_^
@@altheaaseoche5875 wait for real that's amazing
i thought this when i watched it too!
No hate. Cuz she's actually voiced by a drag queen
“Come on I gotta goooooo!” Take that out of context really quick
I really wanted a courtney being a diva shot. :'D
this scene was a total standout for me in the series. seriously beautifully done!! ☺️
Thanks so much! 😊
I absolutely love this! The original look of Pauline’s office feels more authoritative and like a throne room, which honestly fits her.
This almost looks more dynamic than the actual scene tbh
same!
Love animatics but I swear Pauline looks much more friendly here
I have a tendency to draw characters too pretty. 😆
This is amazing! Y'all are making me want to finally watch this show.
Thanks to whoever just liked this comment, reminded me to say I did actually watch this show three days after the original comment.
I loved this part!! these storyboards are so cool to see, I'd love it if you put up a side by side comparison with the final version, but I understand if that's not possible due to copyright. I'm so excited for the next season of this amazing show!!
ok i love everything about this storyboard, but i also really love how you draw Courtney in this???? idk. she looks like a creature in some parts and that gives me some good feelings lmfao. but i love this entire thing overall!! :]
Aww thanks so much! the shot with her in the chandelier was my Head Of Story's drawings (Adrian Maganza). I didn't clean them up because I just thought it was perfect.
This is amazing!
I’m assuming your the one who story boarded this and I would love to say this is stunning this was amazingly made by everyone who worked on it
Thanks so much! ^^ yes, I storyboarded the middle section of the episode from the small scene just before this song until just after the sealing spell song with some guidance from the head of story.
@@altheaaseoche5875 Ah, I guess that answers my question, I've been looking for storyboards of the first and last couple of songs, I was going to ask if you had them to share (^.^')
1:33
Courtney you good buddy?
But aside from the goofy little thing its Definitely cool seeing the unpolished version of this, makes dreams feel more Achievable
I love cortneys voice so much
Yooo why aren’t a lot of people talking about this? Normally if people see someone who worked on a great show like Dead End they swarm to their socials but this only has 15k views??
Here I am thinking 15k plays is a lot. 🤣🙈 Way more than any stuff I've done before. Either way, thank y'all! 💕
You deserve more recognition.
True.
Aww thanks so much!! Lack of comments is my fault though ... I just realised that setting your videos on yt to "made for kids" turns comments off. 😅 So I only just switched the settings.
thank you so much for sharing! you killed it on this song /pos
My pleasure! It's been a highlight in my career being able to work on this show, especially this episode!
1:39 his very few frames here are PRECIOUS
Honestly I kinda like the first half more than the polished version lol. Might just be my love of animatics
Why Do Pauline's Lines Sound Like A Different Take?
Hmmm it's possible I have an older version of the song! I'm not sure. It was from the latest animatic I could grab before I finished my contract. Storyboards wrapped up more than a year before the show was actually finished, it's likely there were tweaks/improvements to the soundtrack during that time. Good ear though if it is different!
@@altheaaseoche5875 it does sound a teeny bit different I caught it too
Isn’t this a parody of The Phantom Of The Opera?
Probably more of a hommage, I'd say. The creator/showrunner loves musicals, there's references to many of them throughout the ep. 😊
THE TINY COURTNEY IS THE BEST THING IVE WVER SEEN IN MY LIFE THANK YOU SO MUCH
i love how this song was clearly influenced by The Phantom of the Opera but it's still totally different
I love storyboard Courtney
Wow this storyboard is amazing! I’m a kid and I’m a big fan of Dead End. The work you did on this show is great!!!
This is so cool!
I LOVE THIS!!! I hope the show gets a season 2!!!
It's a real shame Dead End Paranormal Park didn't get a season 3 also i'm a new fan so it just hurts more knowing there could have been more.
really is sad this show could have found a better footing being more of a musical horror
You guys made an amazing cartoon, I’m honestly excited for what’s to come in season 2
Thanks so much! We're all stoked about how much love the show has gotten. Thank you for supporting it! And yes cross fingers on news about future seasons soon too.
@@altheaaseoche5875 will the demon Tem be in future episodes since he doesn’t possess pugsley anymore?
I absolutely love deas end paranormal park
your work on these was stunning!
Thank you so much! ^^
aaah the ending harmony here with logs, josh, and courtney sounds SO GOOD but did they change it in the final version??
I'm actually not sure! It is possible I was working with an older take of the song, there was likely some tweaks to the final.
This is flipping great
Thanks so much!
@@altheaaseoche5875 you're welcome
the growls :O
The echo sounding makes this song so much better in my opinion!
😍😍😍
Wait so is she stuck in her
This is awesome
Thank you!
in episode 10
I love this song so much but something about paulines part in the song just sort of ruins the entire thing
Nah cause the way they drew Courtney is so funny
This is really good!
Thanks!
Ohh this is so cool
Will you be doing the other storyboards with their official music?
When I get a spare moment I'll upload "Just Some Guy." The final version of the Sealing Spell was taken care of others and so has less of my drawings in it. The other songs were done by other storyboard artists. Hopefully in time they or Hamish Steele will upload them. 😊
this awsome 10 out of 10
Thank you! It was such a joy to work on. T^T Loads of research about musicals behind it too.
@@altheaaseoche5875 wecome
also do the SOME GUY song
Or is she her
I'm glad that I'm your 100. subcriber. This is amazing
Whuuuut oh no now I'm going to have to post more things! 🙈Thanks so much!
Your welcome. I'm happy for this😀(sorry for the mistakes my english is not the best)
Does anybody know if the moment 1:33 is inspired by anything? It seems so familiar and it is bothering me...
These panels were done by our head of story, Adrian Maganza so he might have a better answer for it than I do. But as far as I remember, it wasn't an appropriation of anything. In my first pass, I had Courtney on the floor but that was an issue because it looked like she was in between Pauline and Barney/Pugsley. Adrian placed her out if the way (up on the chandelier) since she can poof anywhere anyway. Her slinking down to the bottom of the chandelier was just so her actions reflected the lyrics. We didn't know what the design of the chandelier was like exactly so layout/animators tweaked the final and I'm not sure if they were given a reference for that.
@@altheaaseoche5875 Thank you for the answer! Interesting, maybe I had seen the shot in the trailer and that is why it had seemed so familiar!
Why is Pauline's voice keeps fading out??
0:54 0:58 1:06
It doesn't
@@twist_ending7545 does*
@@pupperdoggo6751 no
@@pupperdoggo6751 I'm listening to it right now. Nothing's wrong with it
Courtney looks the worst LOL
why is this better then the real one!
Ahh, thanks so much!
@@altheaaseoche5875 okay! But where did you get the storyboard from?
@@sagekiano58 i drew it.
@@altheaaseoche5875 wait you mean it's not the real storyboard?
@@sagekiano58 It is the official storyboard. I worked on the show.
Okay, when I first heard of this show I was like, “ew, what is this show, it looks bad” only to finally give it a shot and I instantly loved it! I love Norma and she’s definitely my second favorite character after Pugsly! This song gave me chills when I first listen to it and it’s the first ever original show song that I ever loved! I usually hate it when shows break out into singing for no reason, but this I loved!
Thanks for giving it a go and I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Hamish was adamant to give a reason for why everyone would break into song so Pugsley's spell gave us the excuse to do a "once more with feeling" (Buffy)-like episode. Really helped that we were given such an amazing soundtrack to work with too!

oh my goodness the time has come..... for the fandom..... of dead end to thrive....
Aww I really hope so!! I've loved this franchise since I discovered the Graphic Novels.
@@altheaaseoche5875 did you say.. .graphic novels....
@@yoururmommother8563 Absolutely! The series is based on the GNs "DeadEndia" by Hamish Steele (which he adapted from his Cartoon Hangover short.) There's currently two volumes, by the sounds of it a third is in the works. The series takes some queues from the GNs but is a little different, characters are older in the novels, themes are a bit more mature. But I've seen people say they love both, despite being different in some ways.
@@altheaaseoche5875 no fucking way where can i buy it
@@yoururmommother8563 should be available or at least you can order from anywhere that sells graphic novels. Nobrow is the publisher so any shop that stocks Nobrow graphic novels might have them! ^^ the titles are "The Watchers Test" and "The Broken Halo."
They should have kept the closeup of logs it would of added a glimps of lost hope into the scene
