Hey that's really great! I would love to see your take on the new scheme for hive fleet Hydra. Preferably on something other than a genestealer, which is what most seem to do.
Absolutely outstanding work as always Matt. I actually used your Kraken guide for all of my nids and loving the result. As a fairly new painter, and colorblind on top of that, your guides have been a massive help. Many thanks!
thanks for the suggestion! I'll add it to the queue. I need to think of a way to put my spin on it first... I've avoided Leviathan so far just because there are so many tutorials for it already.
What a great tutorial! I would absolutely love to see a kronos contrast scheme where the skin is not just black but a brownish grey like in the artworks
I paint a hive fleet that doesn't exist, but I call it Hive Fleet Chameleon. Basically, every model gets a paint job that's 1 of 1. I don't duplicate paint jobs ever. Even down to each ripper bug making up the swarm. I only paint 1 army, but I have a lot of paint I wanted to use. It pushes me as an artist, and it stays fun painting 120 termagants etc.
That's a great scheme and a great job. I actually have all these colors (some from different brands) but I'm gonna follow along to this when I paint next. Thanks Matt!
Great video, thank you! For those, like me, struggling with the viscosity of the skin mix of Apothecary White and Russ Grey, I advise you to try a 2:2:1 mix of Gryph-Charger Grey, Contrast Medium and Water, it's really smooth to apply and has a really similar tone :)
Will there be more guides on painting the tyranids of the hive fleet Tiamet? It would be very interesting to look at, for example, neurolictor, psisophage and tyranid prime in this color scheme
I dont have any plans yet at this moment since there are already a lot of projects on my desk. But if there is a lot of demand for it I'll certainly change things up. Thanks for watching!
Hi man, can you make in the future the two dragons royal zombie from Flesh Heat Court!!?? Pleeeeease!!!! ❤❤❤❤ Thank you anyway. This videos are fantastic! You are the best to you tube!! 👏👏👏👏
Love the scheme, gonna follow this for my 'nids. What do you think works for the brain models, mostly a teal/aethermatic blue? I'd love to see you do a bigger model with this formula. Currently practicing on my termagants so far. Thanks for the awesome channel and videos!
Thanks for watching! Yeah I think a real would look cool on the brains, maybe Terradon Turquoise. Or something similar to the gun with Magos Purple could be cool as well. I'll have to get a bigger model and give it a shot. Good luck with your army!
the time will vary since some of us paint slower/faster than others. I tend to paint faster, and it took me about a half hour for the first (basecoat) stage. Highlights added about another half hour. If you're painting a large army, you can speed up the time by drybrushing some steps, or eliminating some steps entirely.
That is a fantastic color scheme, don't think I've seen it before. Really like the color transitions on the skin. Thanks Mr. Matt.
thanks Shane! I hadn't seen the color scheme before either. I really like it, it's different.

that looks like it would be a lot of fun to paint. Thanks for the suggestion!
This is my favourite hive fleet scheme from the 10th ed launch - and I think with this tutorial, I'm going to give it a go
That's great to hear, good luck!
I think this is my favorite version of this Hive Fleet! Excellent and easy to follow.

Awesome! Good luck and please let me know how it works out for you. Thanks for watching!
The subtle blue skin is cool, I'll have to try that.
thanks! Feel free to tag me on Instagram with your results. I'd like to see how you do!
I dunno what it is, but something tells me you like Nids, Matt.
Ha! Yeah that's true. They sure are fun to paint!
Great video, thank you!

Nice tip on the alternate skin mix! Thanks for watching, and happy painting!
Great quality videos :) I enjoy watching your Tyranid painting guides. I can't decide which hive fleet I prefer between Kraken or Tiamet
Thanks! They are both a lot of fun to paint. Tiamet seems less common, so that might be a good choice!
Hive Fleet Tiamet is my favorite Hive Fleet

i already painted 20 wish i saw this before hand
try it out and see which style you like more! Nothing wrong in changing it up. Maybe the first 20 could be a slightly different "breed". Good luck!

I'll try to work a Behemoth scheme in the queue. Thanks for the suggestion!

I use Rosemary and co series 99 and 33, sizes 2, 1 and 0. Thanks for watching and good luck with your painting!
@MattsHobbyHour Thank you!
how long does each model take to paint this way?
