Yeah, man. I love my Twist Grip. Nice review. Adding the new remote handle makes it even better.
same, i had the old grips too!! thx 4 that!
Nice video. I wonder how the cell phone mount will be like with it mounted on the cold shoe mount on the bottom of the grip.
awesome video , thanks!
Really random question: did you find a good way to pack your handles along with the ronin? i like the ronin case it came in and wish the grip handles came in something similar
Do you have a link for the custom threaded adapter you mention to make the cell phone work on top mount?
Hey man great video. Do you think the same attachment method would work for a ninja v monitor? I do worry about running into the same issue with the gimbal hitting. What type of filming do you do? I will be using mine for real estate
Thank you so much mate, very helpful video. keep it up :)
Do you reckon you can run it by taking off the right handle? So you can use it in a briefcase mode and dual handle (with the main grip as the right handle)?
Thavks for this
i wish i seen this before i bought the Smallrig arm..(im new with the gimbals i bought a RSC2 Combo) i like the idea of the handles ,but i use the gimbal from cars reviews to my travel adventures ..i guess adventually someone will put one up for sale and if i can get it for half price i ll grab it..tired of buying and spending money on all these accessories (in general with camera gear)lol..thanks for the video!
nice vid man, is smallrig have this same type twis grip? i have seach but get nothing
Awesome Video on the Twist Grip!!!! Where can I purchase the extension device to mount my mobile phone on the bar?
Hello, I have a question, is this a good and easy to use gimbal for portrait/vertical video shooting? Thanks.
Great video! I would love to see a comparison between a single grip and the two-handed grip. I would like to see which is easier and more stable.
The Twist Grip just gives you more options than the single grip. Does not make things less stable.
@@MoniJohnson Great! Thank you!
Is this handle longer than the one in the OG RONIN-S ???
Hi
Is it strong enough to hang a 4kg gear?
Thank you, man. Jarrod please tell me can Ronin S hand grip be installed on DJI Ronin RS2 or not? Thank you!
I want to buy a RS3 and I have grip from Ronin S.
Can you mount a Ninja at the bottom not at the top, so the gimbal doesn't get obstructed
Where you get those quarter inch threads from bruv?
Comfortable with Rohnin SC?
used the DJI twist grip. One thing that I am totally disappointed is that the knob ( that allows you to change from dual handle to underslung mode ) drop off easily and there is NO SPARE PARTS for this small knob.. Once you drop this knob, you won't be able to change the mode. And when I spoke to DJI, I can only purchase a new set and they quoted me a price that is $40 higher than their listed price stated on their website.
Jarrod come on, one more video, not give up i believe on you, you can do it.
can you swap the twist grip from the left to the right? or does it only work on left. Id like the briefcase handle on the ride side of the gimbal and the standard handle on the left
this!
Great review. If you decide to buy the 'Tethered Control Handle' please let us know in which ways that makes life easier :)
Makes it much better. Check my channel.
It is work with RS3 ?
Great videos, very detailed. I quick question: what made you pick rs2 over rsc2? I am a Nikon Z shooter, looking for a first gimbal. I watched tons of videos but cannot figure out which one to get...
Hey, which did you end up getting? I just got the RSC-2 myself. I only have about 4.5 pounds in camera-lens and mic, and 1k was a bit much to spend.
@@HalfInsaneOutdoorGuy I got rsc2, great gimbal, but now that I own RSC2 I can tell that the biggest difference between RS2 and RSC2 is not the max load etc but the accessories! I bought side and back handles from smallrig which greatly improve the handling of the gimbal but with RSC2 I cannot move gimbal controls to one of the side handles, I need to set the gimbal into the right mode and then keep them for entire shot. Side mounts in RS2 have electronic contacts that allow to pass controls to side handles. Tilta has great ecosystem for RS2. I definitely trade RSC2 with RavenEye and focus motor for bare RS2 just for that one reason...
Very good content ! You totally answered my question: To know if it was NATO rail borth side ;)
But damn I'm desapointed because I was hopping to have the hability to put the handles up from the bar toward the camera and therefor, put the monitor on the handle's cold show, without loosing the possibility of going into briefcase mode 🤔
Now I have to choose in between handles up or briefcase mode -_-
No gears are ever perfect :/
This guy mounted it upside down/reverse, so he has the handles as I want, but I believe the handle ends up upside down when going into briefcase mode...
However, I think with a quickrelease system (I have the Zhiyun), screwed on the other side of the rail, I could actually take the mini tripod off the bottom to snap it as an underslung handle 🤔
Nobody need both bottom tripod/handle and underslung one at the same time anyway :P
Maybe you can try with yours and tell if it would work 🙏😊✨
Can the handles be mounted upside down?

Nice review.
Why did they put the twist on the left. That’s the side you put external monitors to be Abel to slit into hdmi on the camera. Hah if. It the other side means the cable has to go all the way around 🤦♂️
for my RSC2 is unusable. when attached i have vibrations when remove my hand from handle.
Great video and great attachment. Do you think this attachment is easier to work with than the rsc2 folding underslung mode?
I cannot decide which one to get. Rs2 or rsc2. I’m a filmmaker for a living, I use lightweight Sony cameras (a7siii), and I like traveling small and light. Should I just go with the rs2?
I actually got the RSC2 and the twist grip handle and I must say, although it says on the box that it's compatible with the RSC2, in practice it's really not. The body of the RSC2 gets in the way of the twist grip's locking lever, preventing it from making a full rotation, but the locking lever on the RSC2 gets in the way preventing you from ratcheting the handle's lever. There's only a millimeter or two of clearance. Not enough to pull it out and ratchet it.
Also, because of the way the left twist grip handle is designed, you can't flip it over to take advantage of the extra space. The NATO rail is not symmetrical so the handle would end up on the top and not the bottom. It also won't fold out correctly.
I bought the RSC2 because I didn't want to overbuy. I don't intend on using larger, cinema-style cameras so I thought I'd be making a smart choice with RSC2 and save few hundred dollars. If I would have known that I'd have this problem, I would have bought something different.
really nice explanation .. Im sold and ordering one lol and then liking and subbing :) ... Peace out and I would love your thoughts on my vlog in amazing Finland 😎
Can you go into inverted mode? With the handles?
yes
@@joaovfraga i actually tried it, you cant because the gimbal hits the camera, i guess i ment far as having it to where the camera just hangs from the bottom like the old school DJI RONIN
Why does every single vid have no demo video w/ and w/o it?
Very good gimbal, but not for Sony A7III and A6600.
kind of a pain in the ass
