Hey Bryce thanks for posting your review on this almost 2 years ago. I am definitely getting them or maybe the DJI twist grip version but I need your help. What do you think about briefcase mode now? Do you ever miss using briefcase mode or do you prefer just using the dual handle upside down? The benefit of the DJI twist grip is that it allows an easy briefcase mode if desired. What are your thoughts?? Thanks in advance!
There's also the SmallRig adjustable handle sling handgrip (3028) for the RS2 / RSC2. But the one you're showing here, is neat, too.

Might look into these. I just recieved DJI's Twist Grip, but the arms wobble and the grip material is terribly slippery. There's virtually no texture for better friction which is a huge surprise given the intended purpose.

Nice video, do you find it hard to reach for the screen to change modes or reset while filming?
I try to plan ahead if I am switching modes. For example, if I wanted to change something or press a button I'll keep one hand on the gimbal and the other on the handle. I actually 80% of the time only use one handle!

Hey Bryce! Do you know if a SmallRig shoulder strap can also be attached to these?
I have the same setup but with original ronin s and the original handless it's heavy but very useful and also you can move the handle to make like zhyiun style its cost 100€

Nope! the Gimbal itself has NATO rails which attach directly to the arms
Are the small rig grips for the R series universal? Like even though it says RS2 could you use it on an RS 3?
I just placed an order for the Smallrig briefcase grip yesterday, after watched your video, you really have me thinking to cancel that order and buy this dual handgrip.
Powerful!! I'm pumped about that. briefcase mode has it usees for sure, but honestly I never use it since getting these grips :)

Great video man! You've helped me make my decision. I always wanted something that resembled the Ronin M. Such a shame they've discontinued. Everywhere you look now they're used and in poor condition.
I felt the same way! What I love about this set up is that you can basically configure it into whatever you need. Heavy duty with handles, simple and light etc. I’ve been using it so much. Should I make another video about it? 🙂
@@BryceKoebel Awesome dude.. yeah definitely! Keep making more videos! Have you considered using live footage showing the difference between pistol grip and dual grip? I've always wanted to see this but again, your review was enough to help me make a decision haha.
I hate the pistol grip, it wasn't till post i realised my footage is swinging left and right. Wasn't stable at all. Doesn't help when you have weak wrists like mine too lol
@@oaportfolio4248 That's a great idea. Especially since all these new gimbals are all coming out in pistol grips. I honestly have a weak wrist too because of sports so sometimes it can be really painful. But even just having one extra arm on the side can be extremely helpful.

Yoo!!! thanks for watching and reaching out :) I am actually. I love using both handles for dance and having it low, but for a lot of scenarios I enjoy using just one handle. I actually haven't used the DJI version, but I'm sure they are also good. But HYPE!! Welcome to the dual life ;)

Lol never tried. You could get a wireless focus motor and mount it to the handles somehow. But whenever I’ve had to manually focus I get the focus I need before moving. But I only ever use auto focus when using a gimbal

You are correct there arn't may vides on this handgrip. Can you attach the two grips pointing up?

Does the 5inch monitor have enough clearance so it does not hit the motored or camera ?
yes it does. It actually leaves a couple centimetres of room and I've never had a problem.

I don't think so. However the RS2 comes with a briefcase handle so that shouldn't be a problem
