I never liked that version of Colossus at all
Soft steel ssa
I hope he shows up with a gold tooth
It kinda pissed me off how weak he seemed to be in days of future past
same
Bad writing
To be fair, that movie just sucked.
@@dblevins343nah movie versions are just weak compared to comics
@poodie3887 to be fair, I would generally say the comic book versions do tend to be too strong though. It makes sense on a page but it's not as tangible on a screen.
Colossus is perfect in the Deadpool movies. Thanks for this video on his powers.
Fr
He was good in the X-men movies aswell
which he was a little stronger but yes best version ever
Deadpool never showed the transformation. Guess they didn't want to pay a human to portray him. So we got to see metallic form eating, riding in a car and laying in bed. Unrealistic. Most unrealistic version of Colossus.
@@aquariandawn4750 At least for Deadpool 1, we know the film was underfunded and Ryan had to pay out of pocket for some of the crew's time. The fact Colossus looks so good is impressive considering the budget. Of course, that doesn't excuse the second film, but Colossus is also entirely CGI. It'd likely be a massive pain to give him a human form that looks like his metal form and matches the scale without excessive camera tricks. That, and I wouldn't want my human skin exposed around Deadpool.
Who don’t love Colossus? His powers are so simple but it’s so great.
Marvel comics and the animal of hickman. Marvel destroy their precios relationship with kitty
Yeah! He’s got one of the most simple powers but is just badass. I would want to have his powers anyday.
@@ShadowFungus
He have a inmense magic potential who refuse to follow
@@ignacio3890 Things change. None of them are the same as they were a decade ago.
@@ShadowFungus agreed i always been a fan of him since reading Marvel Comics
He has a lesser known healing ability but not as strong as Deadpool .
Hes not permanently organic steel... and its ORGANIC steel. So...
Most Mutants have an accelerated Healing Factor. They heal faster than normal humans. Broken arm takes a normal human six weeks to heal. A mutant takes three weeks. Half the time. Though some can heal faster or slightly faster than baseline human. While others may still take that six weeks to heal. Then, you got Mutants like Darwin. Who's power is purely defensive and random. He could simply just evolve to have no bones. Boom no broken bone. Or get a more favorable outcome and evolve to have bones so dense, they cannot break. Just as an example.
Mutant Gene is weird. It is basically is one big lottery. Some mutants hit the jackpot and others....well...others might as well wish they never were in the drawing. Yeah. Some times wishing to become a Mutant is basically playing Shotgun Roulette with Evolution. May win or may get blasted in the face and lose.
@@Qardo Darwin is pretty legit, He got done dirty in the live action movie. Hell when he faced the Hulk, his powers kicked in and teleported himself very far away from the hulk lol.
Well, we do not talk about the movie version. Even though there is a funny logic as to why he 'died' in the film. He never did die. His self-preservation mutant power kicked in. He turned to ash. All to escape the terrible film.
As for him teleporting away from World Breaker Hulk was the only logical thing his mutant power could come up with. Even if he could have mutated a power to either take a hit from Hulk or gave him strength to counter Hulk. But, no, teleporting away from big angry green guy was the smartest move.@@starhunter78
@@starhunter78 The only way to adapt to the Hulk is to get as far away from him as possible 😂😂
I kinda prefer the muscle like detail in the X-men films, the accuracy of the Deadpool movies being more unique
I mean, just because Piotr eats and drinks in the Deadpool movies doesn't mean he NEEDS to. He could just do it to maintain a routine and/or he likes it. His organic metal has also been shown to be as durable as Adamantium, even being resistant to scratches from Wolverine's claws, but not thrusts. But, that comes down to who is writing the story for that telling of comics.
Also food tastes good. Everybody wants to eat good food, even if they aren’t hungry.
Armored up, I know he doesn't breath, but still had required minimum amounts of food for Energy.
As Stan Lee said, who wins is down to the writer. Love your realism.
@@starhunter78 and he does it to appease students so they don't freak out that he never needs it eat in his organic metallic form
Colossus got his dent buffed out.
Why did I imagine Deadpool putting a plunger in his head and just popping the dent back into place.
Had some bondo work done😂😂
remember the pops-a-dent meme with the baby that had dents in his head?
Imagine if they fixed it like a dent in a car
By sticking a big old dildo on it, then yanking on it once it's stuck on
Hot water and a plunger. Fixed him right up
Colossus is by far my favorite Hero X-men. His small roles in the previous X-Men movies was underwhelming but his role in Deadpool series is by far the best!
I'm happy to see him get some much needed spotlight as I feel that even though he is a popular character, he is underutilized & underrated!
I love the Calm Demeanor/Gentle Giant persona as well as being a advocate for peace for both Human & Mutant! But I would love to see him with a chip on his shoulder/let loose once he transforms!
Colossus maybe have a body of steel, but his heart is gold!
I wonder what they are going to do with him in Deadpool 3. Also I think that colossus from Deadpool stands a much better chance against sentinels purely based off size alone . Good video!!
In the comics, Piotr has frequently endured horrific injuries in his armor form, such the time the Brotherhood under Mystique ambushed the X-Men. They blasted him with fire until he was glowing white hot and then doused him in liquid nitrogen. SOMEHOW he lived through it. He's been shot, impaled, poisoned, paralyzed, beaten silly, blown up, burned with acids, dropped through re-entry, run over, and smashed flat. But he always gets up again - a true tank and a true Russian.
And that he's always calm for the most part and quirky 😊
@@thepubknight6144 Yeah. The modern "hurr-durr, I'm a slow-witted slavic meathead" version popularized with the Deadpool movies is a little off-putting if you read Claremont X-Men for years where he was slowly developed as a kind, very honest, very thoughtful man with a sense of humor as you said, and who nevertheless made mistakes. Daniel Cudmore (Singer movies) probably got closest onscreen, for the little bit of time he got.
The funny thing is, once you actually made Piotr angry, I personally rated him as one of the most dangerous X-Men. Very Wolverine levels of savagery if you hurt somebody he cared about.
Anyone notice how weak they make heavy hitters look
That is part of my biggest concern with Colossus! He always seems to be written as holding back his strength! He should easily tear through Sentinels and when it comes to fighting Jugg or other strong being- Colossus can only match Juggs blow for blow for so long before he is outmatched, BUT Colossus is a Fighter! He knows how to throw a punch for max damage!
Yeah making him weak like they nerfed the hulk
Just looking at Drax in both last Avengers movie and the 2nd Guardians was horrible, at least in the third one he got some strength feats to show. But this concerns me cause The Thing and Colossus are my favorite Marvel characters, but they might just be joke characters in the upcoming movies
@prprince11 colossus may have been weaker in days of future past, but the bigger factor in his defeat was just that sentinels in that movie are OP. Any ability they see they can just copy and counter.
Women can only be powerful😂
hes still a human with powers, which means he ages and needs food like any human. only when he turns metal does he not need to take in any energy, as his body doesnt produce waste when he is metal.
i heckin love colossus. he is a true stand up hero almost all the time, basically the mentality of superman, but his powers are simple yet cool, and his design is one of the best in all of Xmen IMO. i rank him tied with wolverine as the best Xman.
What happened to the dent? It’s colossus! He put his thumb in his mouth and blew really hard!!!
I love the Deadpools adaption of Colossus. He is straight up a true X-Men and I wish he was in all the movies. Love how the actor portrayed him to.
Colossus is my favorite comic character, point blank period lol. You did a really good job explaining and showing images to back up what you said.
I like nearly every adaptation shown of Colossus in the movies (all were unique). Deadpool Colossus was the closest, obviously, but I didn't like how they made him eat and breathe in that form. It's stated in multiple comics he doesn't need to eat, drink, sleep, or breathe while metal - obviously that's debatable. If I remember correctly I think Colossus eventually changed back because he felt uncomfortable being metal for so long. Anyway other than that, I absolutely love seeing anything talking about Colossus
Love all these videos
Great video. I hope we could see a good Deadpool colossus figure. Would look great.
I was so happy to see a realistically depicted Colossus. I always thought he had badass powers so this obviously made 10 year old me VERY happy
he shouldnt have fistfought the guy who has powers gifted to him by the god of destruction xD
Everyone's a badass until Pete starts fighting dirty.
Shii-- Beerus
Agreed. Fighting unstoppable force head on is just… wrong.
That is akin to wanting to spar with half until infinity
@@kingol4801 Pete still did better here than he did when he first fought Juggernaut in the comics. Basically, he got into a drunken bar fight with Cain and got destroyed (together with the bar). However, Colossus did put up enough of a fight to earn Juggie's respect.
Okay I'm less than a minute in and the question of "does he really need to eat" being asked is triggering as a long time fan.
He's human/mutant, not an alien or machine..... He needs to eat. His metal form is like super Saiyan for him. He can turn it on and off at will. It adds a vast degree to his durability and strength, putting him closer to those like juggernaut and the thing in terms of power and invincibility...... But juggernaut beats him dented and bloody almost every time unless he has help.
Wait i just realised, colossus never transformed back to a normal human in the deadpool movies. Is he different somehow?
prob cuz colossus in that movie is not really a real person
there was no real actor for this just voice actor and multiple like combination of actors apprently
+ prob like doing the X-men 90's style of clossus where he is almost everytime seen in his metallic form
@@lag00n54 Oh okay that makes sense.

that colossus model has put through a lot of works
@@markvlogs1758 ye go watch or find the behind the scenes on colussus you'll see how they did it, it's pretty cool
I knew he looked different and thinner in Deadpool 2
Collosus is one of my favorites since the 80s
Superman: I'am Man of Steel!!!
Colossus: Oh, Really!!!
I’ll tell you what, the sentinels in the days of future past & the new X men 97 show there probably some of the scariest villians I’ve seen. Just brutal and savage
Collosus is not only caked up, but he's just so big 🫣 cannot wait to see him in the third Deadpool
the multiple layers of metal skin in deadpool 2 is cool af. Never noticed that before
Two of the reasons he lost he against Juggs and the DoFP Sentinels is because Juggernaut is the host of Cytorrak. The Gem of Cytorrak is what makes him unstoppable and incredibly strong; doesn’t help that Juggs is considered Colossus’s main rival. As for the Sentinels, they were adaptoids. Powered not only by Mystique’s mimicry based mutation but also based around what we know in the comics as Nimrod. Nimrod mimics in a way similar to Morph, giving him physical attributes akin to the respective mutations.
Xmen always has room to improve. There's still characters and stories never used yet for movies that was shown in the cartoons.
The breakworld saga.... White for Josh wendom writer of buffy and great fan of the piotr/ kitty couple
Oooooooh my god
The design of Colossus in deadpool is PERFECT. I hope they keep it
The look from x-2 does make sense for a painter x)
may I ask where you from?
I noticed theres an accent, quite weird, but lovely!
Well that is a new change, old school Colossus healed fully when he changed forms. If he was injured in human form and changed it healed, and vice versa, it's how he died the first time getting rid of the legacy virus that was killing off mutants. Transforming killed him and made the cure to the virus at the same time due to his shift healing. Some of the lesser side comics also said his blood even became a liquid metal.
While in his armored form, Colossus requires no food, water or even oxygen to sustain himself and is extremely resistant to injury. My favorite X-Man.
Osmium is very much a real element from this dimension, and it is not just dense, it is the densest element.
Great video, thanks! Although a common mistake - Piotr's last name is not pronounced "Ras-pew-teen" but "Ras-puh-teen" instead, with a stress on "puh", not "teen".
Magneto will love to meet a metal one..
He buffed it out
Oh yes, the strongest assist in MvC one.
I'm not even a comic super-fan, but I've actually wondered how his body heals according to the lore.
It would be funny if deadpool has his tooth.
I'm surprised nobody's ever thought that Piotr's mutation in the new timeline was that his body permanently turned to steel, it's not that far off.
Plus he was played by like two actors (4 actually but one was for the voice and the other was for size). And even if you could find someone who just happened to actually look like him, He'd still have to be voiced over. I don't understand why people Stop doing that with their films. It works. Look at the Lou Ferrigno Hercules films
I love collossus as a character but i personally think a cooler name for him is Pewter, pkaying off his real name of Piotr
Do you know what would be nice is that if you and the person who actually edits and creates the video got together and paid attention to what plays in the video versus what is on your script. I have been involved in art the majority part of my early life all the way into my twenties and then I started to work where I lost time to get into it. But I will say this drawing or sketching is not painting
The big homie been long overdue his shine (no pun)
I really hope he gets atleast a few scenes in Deadpool 3, i want too see him smash Daniel Cudmores version while calling him a 'Puny Fox American'
2:10 Osmium is not from another dimension, it's a real metal that exists, and it is one of the densest elements.
I lik how collosus was depicted in generation next. He had a sick mask
If you visit Colossus' room, you will find cans of bondo and chrome paint
Nope... you find paints of kitty pryde nude
Magneto helped him with the dent, for a future favor.
The tooth part made no sense he can’t be harmed in metal form lol
He can do... in reality , hulk broke their arms and magneto fixed them
since when was metal indestructible
4:20 He looked incredible in X2, I loved how raw he looked. The metallic human being, without the need for skin, with the steel muscle anatomy on full display. It looked realer back then than current vfx.
I was looking for a comment mentioning Kevin 11
I knew he looked a bit different and thinner in Deadpool 2
I notice that too did not like it he was huge in the first Deadpool
But if he just turns human, it'd only result in broken bones which are very easy to fix, especially when it's just his arms, the painfully obvious solution to this is he turns human, they straighten his bones and let it heal like a normal injury.
Or they ask magneto to fix him, which he will do far less painfully and faster.
Id like to believe that if your stong enough (like juggernaut) then itd be like going one vs one since there pretty equal in the movie so its iust like if your strong enough itll be like a normal fight and overtime the metal heals just like normal skin would if that makes sense
(btw I just started the video so if he said anything like this my bad)
Probly healed
Better question what happened to his tooth
Colossus vs The Thing who winning? Thing right. Yeaaaah, it's thing.
My boy was bulking, then he start his cut
I was only wonder how he would look with normal human body like no big muscles or maybe big belly
dumb question, he speaks, moves, breaths so his skin is maluable to him, assuming this he heals like others, his skin will just puff out
Any issues with him against magneto? I can't remember
He is completely helpless against Magneto, but he has also used this ability to heal Colossus as well
In Ultimate X-Men #29 Colossus was actually able to beat the crap out of Magneto after powering through his magnetic field.
In Uncanny X-Men #113 he was able to get a couple of hits on Magneto as Eric was attacked by the entire X-Men team and did not have enough time to properly focus his powers.
Also, in the season 3 finale of X-Men: Evolution he got to rough Magneto up a bit because he remembered that he's still a 6'6 pissed off Russian body builder when he switches his armor off.
Their other matchups, however, predictably ended with Magneto wiping the floor with the metal man.
@@kaczok1985 Its also possible that Cyttorak Colossus was strong enough but who knows
@@octosalias5785 That is very likely. The only advantage Ultimate Colossus has over his 616 counterpart is superior strength (Ultimate Piotr is able to lift a submarine and fastball special a Sentinel). However, as the avatar of Cyttorak, 616 Colossus has a significant strength, endurance and speed boost over his regular armored form and he should also have Juggernaut's unstoppability (which is actually a personal force field of sorts, similar to Unus the Untouchable's powers). IMHO, that should be enough to overpower Eric's magnetism.
The Deadpool Colossus is the most accurate representation of the comics, sadly ,directors made him weaker.
Well, Colossus isn't in the worst spot, the fact that Juggernaut did not crush him proves that... even Hulk is pathetic now.
Can he harden only specific body parts like just his fist or is it his entire body
It's all or nothing!
@@prprince11 I hope he gets an upgrade like that mabe form is skin it like spikes or hammers or blades or axes or something
@redghostknight55 an upgraded ability that I would like him to have is Proportionate Strength: Any strength, Speed, agility, etc he increases in his Human form, it will be amplified in his steel form making him stronger.
